ting at MVM. It lasted about 10 minutes. I showed her inspiration pictures, and described the colors and tried to describe my vision. When I finished my very long description, she said, “Ok, so you’re looking for something like . . “ and went on to describe exactly what I had been having problems putting into words!! I felt so confident that we never really talked about it again!! LOL (I’m sure you can, she is the sweetest, nicest woman ever, I just didn’t feel the need, there were so many other things to think about and she seemed to have it all covered!) When people asked me what my flowers were going to look like, I would just laugh and say I didn’t really know! (I was doing a multi-colored wildflower look, and I didn’t have specific flowers I wanted, just the color profile) Can I say, that I was BEYOND delighted at what Sue did for all the flowers at the Wedding. The centerpieces were exquisite and even better than what I could have imagined in my head. They worked with both the room and the ambiance I wanted to project. The flowers for the arch at the ceremony were lush and made the pictures look magical. She truly went above and beyond to make things beautiful for my wedding and I am so grateful that I picked her!!

, NY in September of 2019. We are not local to that area so we relied on the venue for many of our vendor choices. They highly recommended Sue from Floral Cottage Weddings, and we hired her based on that recommendation. We met with her once or twice prior to our wedding. Since I am not from that area I didn’t have the option to have her create any samples for me to see. Honestly I preferred it that way because I really didn’t want to have to make too many decisions. I explained that since I was getting married in September, I did not want pastels (light pinks, light yellows, lavender, white), but that I really don’t like the fall colors either (browns, golds, and dark purples). I didn’t give many specific requests for certain flowers other than ranunculus. Basically, I didn’t even know what I wanted, and I was worried that I wasn’t giving Sue a clear enough picture of what I was hoping for. She actually seemed to immediately understand me though. She said that she could design my wedding flowers using “summer fall” colors, incorporating ranunculus. When she said that, I felt so at ease. It was like she knew what I wanted, even though I didn’t know how to explain it!! I chose gold goblets for the centerpiece containers, requested that she wrap my bouquet stems in a piece of my grandmother’s dress, and left the rest of the design to her. The result was amazing. My bridal bouquet was absolutely stunning. There is no other word for it. The “summer fall” color scheme she put together was spectacular, and really felt appropriate for September. Not spring or mid-summer, but not fall either! She did a wonderful job wrapping the stems with the piece of my grandmother’s dress. The centerpieces were completely outstanding and really made the whole reception room look amazing. I gave zero input regarding what I wanted the corsages and boutineers to look like, and what Sue created was so intricately and delicately put together that I was just in awe. The flowers over our altar made a statement, and the shepherd’s hooks lining the seating area were so cute and cheerful!! The small bud vases that I asked her to fill each had a few cute sprigs of different things and brightened up all of the outdoor tables and some of the mantles and bar tops. Although we didn’t discuss size or volume that much during the planning process, I feel that everything I received was HUGE, and way bigger than I ever would have expected. I was literally in shock when I first saw everything, and then practically in tears. Sue runs a wonderful business. She is helpful, responsive, and reliable, and the value for what she delivers is unbelievable!! She is extremely talented and her creations are masterpieces! On top of that, it’s clear that she loves what she does. She gets along with all of the other vendors, and she really loves the brides and their families. She actually went out of her way to ensure that I had a few flowers at the venue for a dinner I hosted the night prior, and also left our centerpieces on site for the following day through our brunch. It was so sweet!! My family enjoyed working with her, and I love to stay in touch with her via email and social media. I highly recommend using her for your wedding or event!!

The flowers were absolutely beautiful and the chuppah was beautiful and simple just like we wanted. She was so accommodating and helpful and it was really nice working with her. We highly recommend the Floral Cottage!

ng a tasting we had at our wedding venue, I knew she had to do our flowers. During our meeting, I gave Susan a basic idea of what we were looking for and just told her to let her creativity take over. Boy did she ever let her creativity fly! From the centerpieces to the wedding arch, everything she created bursted with the feeling of autumn. Additionally, my bridal bouquet was like something out of a Vanity Fair magazine, truly stunning to say the least. Susan is both an incredible designer and person. She met with us at a hotel and we spent about an hour or so going through the colors I wanted, type of chuppah, and walking through different types of table arrangements as well as additional areas we might want flowers. A few highlights: 1. I knew I wanted a birch tree chuppah and showed her a picture of something I liked. Hers was 110% better than I could have imaged. The flowers were so vibrant and arranged in a way that it was like no chuppah I had seen before. Speaking of chuppah, my mom and my husband’s mom had planned to surprise us with a custom made chuppah canopy featuring pictures of us throughout the years and they said working with Sue to make this happen was a pleasure. We were so surprised the day of, it brought tears to our eyes. 2. The flowers themselves were spectacular! She had never even requested a swatch and nailed the colors I was picturing - dahlias with pinks and yellows and oranges - bright fall arrangements. They were so fresh and full every single person kept complimenting how the flowers were some of the best they had seen and I have to agree! We just got our pictures in and I can’t stop looking at the beautiful arrangements. 3. The centerpieces - she did this wonderful arrangement with tall vases, branches and petals entwined within, and full arrangements on top. It brought the room to life. Sue is your florist. She is a wonderful person to work with and so passionate about what she does, it’s amazing to see how she brings you vision to life. I’d recommend Floral Cottage to anyone needing a florist.

t so over whelmed and asked our friend who was her florist was. She gave me all of Sue's information. I called her we set up a meeting and I knew she was going to be our florist. She listened to what I wanted and what I didn't want, her ideas were Fantastic and on top of all of that she was so caring and wanted to make sure it was exactly what you wanted for your big day ! Her prices were super reasonable for all we got, everyone complimented our centerpieces they were breathe taking ! The flowers also lived for a good 5 days after the wedding which was a super bonus to get to take home as many as we could and share with our family and friends ! elationship. My husband had sent me purple flowers when I was traveling on the west coast early on and that was the moment I knew he was the one! I wanted to recreate that feeling on our wedding day. I asked for lilacs and several other specific garden flowers and Sue delivered. The fresh garland on the banister and centerpieces at the rehearsal dinner were an added bonus and very much appreciated. Our gorgeous flowers will forever be a memorable part of our day! Sue (and her husband who helped with set up) was very personable and thoughtful. We spoke twice on the phone prior to the wedding day and she ensured me that our indoor wedding (due to rain) would be intimate and unique. She also gave me helpful advice on a few other local vendors. We certainly recommend Floral Cottage to others hosting events in the area.

She showed up with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in my color scheme - it was such a sweet gesture, and the flowers were just what I had in mind. Sue did the flower arrangements for both our wedding and rehersal. We received so many compliments on the beautiful flowers. For the wedding, I had a specific vision and feel in mind and Sue executed my vision beautifully. During the planning process, she offered some ideas based on her expertise, but I never felt like she was pushy or aggressive. She was always patient with us and our needs. We couldn't have asked for a better florist or more beautiful flowers on our wedding day! We would hire Sue and her team again in a second! You won't be disappointed.
