Our bakery is special because we make all of our sweet treats from scratch on-site. We're so proud of what we do, we built a window into our kitchen so you can watch the magic happen. Baking is our passion, and we believe in quality over quantity. Everything is made by hand in small batches by our experienced bakers. We do not use any cake mixes. We make our signature Swiss meringue buttercream frosting with all butter - never any shortening. We use real butter, pure extracts, Belgian chocolate, fresh fruit, and many other quality ingredients in our everyday baking. We also offer gluten-free options, including cakes, cupcakes, & more. We are thrilled to be preferred wedding cake bakers for Lesner Inn, Gala 417, The Maine of Williamsburg, Royal Courtyard at West Neck, and Grand Affairs Catering. We are mother-daughter owned & operated since opening our storefront in 2010.

We absolutely loved our cake and cupcakes! The bakery was so easy to work with, we even decided to change our cake from a two tier to a three tier about a month before our wedding date and they did it no problem. When we went in to pick up our tasting kit we had to try the cupcake of the day, strawberry shortcake. We loved it so much we asked if we could have it as one of our cupcake flavors even though it wasn't on the wedding list and they did it! We ended up going with a three tier cake and 60 cupcakes, we had no cupcakes leftover at the end of the night the guests loved them so much.

We did a small 6" 1 tier cake for our wedding as our cake to cut. The cake was absolutely delicious. The process for choosing all the aspects of your cake was extremely easy. Everyone has been extremely easy to communicate with. We requested to pickup the cake 30 minutes earlier than originally requested and they did it no problem. They were easy to work with with our design idea and had a very soft and smooth cake. Unfortunately we couldn't do a taste testing because it was such a small order but we were able to go in and get a few of their regular or mini cupcakes to help us choose our flavors!

Flour Child Bakery was so easy to work with while planning our wedding! They answered every question we had and ensured every detail was perfect. We ordered a small 2 tiered cake and 9 dozen cupcakes. The taste was high quality and they set up everything so beautifully at our venue. Although we did not save our top tier of wedding cake, we had many cupcakes to take home. We froze them and they were just as amazing after thawing from the freezer. These bakers know what they are doing!

For our wedding, my husband and I wanted to do a dessert table rather than a traditional wedding cake. It was a hit with our guests! At the end of the night, there were no mini pies or cake pops left at all and very few lemon and millionaire bars left. We ordered a small cake so we could cut it and it looked exactly how we wanted it to! We look forward to returning as regular customers now!

My husband and I are SO glad that we got our cake from Flour Child Bakery. We did the initial tasting “to-go” style due to the pandemic where we got to pick our cake flavors, fillings, and buttercreams. We decided to go with a lemon cake with cream cheese frosting & lemon curd for one tier; then a chocolate cake with mocha buttercream for the other tier. Our wedding cake was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! On top of that, they decorated so beautifully! Our guests were so excited for our cake and even grabbed seconds. I highly recommend getting your cake at Flour Child Bakery!

Flour Child Bakery made the cupcakes for my wedding last Sept. and they were soooooo incredibly delicious. The owner sat down with my husband and I to figure out the details and they came out beautifully rustic and simple. She was so effortless to work with and easy to get a hold of (we are from Northern Va). We went to about 3-4 other places to try cupcakes but nothing beat the taste of Flour Child's cupcakes/cakes!!! And all of our guests were even eating them the next day for breakfast!

We loved our cupcakes for our wedding. The cupcakes were arranged beautifully on the big day. Most importantly, they tasted delicious. I have had friends and family ask me where I got the cupcakes because they were craving more! Thank you for helping make our wedding so sweet!

This lovely family owned business was amazing and great to work with! The pricing was unbeatable. Our guests have continued to tell us how amazing our cupcakes were. Our topper cake and cupcakes were beautiful and hassle free. I'll be getting any future cake needs here!

I had an amazing key lime cake for my wedding recently and I love these ladies so much. Quick, responsive and delicious! They even made a tequila infused frosting to go with the cupcakes and cake for us! Five stars all the way!

I had my handfasting was back in October. they did a fantastic job with the colors and flavors. I recommend the Devils Food if you have anyone who is Gluten Free. They are fantastic!!!

Delicious and affordable! We did a small tiered cake for cutting/ and anniversary along with 3 different cake pop flavors for guests! Everyone loved the cake pops! They were a huge hit! You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Flour child was absolutely fantastic for our wedding! Great price and really really delicious cake and pies (we got a small couples cake and a variety of pies). They delivered to the site and worked with us closely to make sure everything was perfect.

I had Such a wonderful experience working with Flour Child Bakery. I got several different pies for my wedding dessert and a small cake for my husband and I to cut. The staff was very helpful with choosing the right pies, crusts and flavors. Everything tasted amazing! I got great reviews about the pies from our guests. There was hardly any left! The cake we got was awesome as well, peanut butter cake with peanut butter cream frosting and covered in rainbow sprinkles. When I saw all the desserts I am most cried they look so beautiful. Everything was nicely organized the day of when we went to pick it up, making for easy transportation. I would highly recommend Flour Child for any dessert needs.
