I absolutely love what I do, and I wake up every day asking myself, "is this real life?!" I am a social butterfly and one of my favorite parts about my job is getting the honor to be a part of your special day. Maritza absolutely blew us away with our wedding day flowers! My jaw literally hit the floor when I first saw my bouquet and my bridesmaids' bouquets. If you're having your wedding in the Santa Barbara area, we highly recommend working with Maritza!
The entire process of working with Maritza was seamless. We had a planning call a few months before our wedding day to discuss our style (colors, flowers, etc) and to align on types of arrangements, counts, etc. Maritza was a great thought partner on what would make sense for our venue and budget, and she was very attentive to our desires (for example, I gave her a list of flowers and colors I did not want to see in our arrangements and she respected that 100%).
Her team showed up on time to deliver all of our flowers and do the strike down at the end of the night and were very friendly and professional. We are SO glad we chose Maritza for our florals!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Maritza!

1000/10!! I recently worked with Maritza for my wedding in September, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience. From our initial consult to our wedding day, Maritza was professional, creative, and incredibly attentive to details. I was having trouble deciding on florals (white v champagne v pinks) and she ~patiently~ took the time to understand our vision and delivered beyond our expectations. Like, WAY beyond….and respected our budget. The bouquets were absolutely stunning and the floral arrangements at the venue truly elevated the entire celebration. The flowers lasted well throughout the ceremony and reception (we repurposed our arch and cocktail hour florals), and we received endless compliments from guests. Maritza exceeded all our expectations. She’s special!! 🫶🏼

An absolute dream to work with! Maritza was so kind and accommodating with all my requests. She went above and beyond to make sure my bouquet and arrangements were exactly how I wanted them. We cannot say enough good things about Maritza and Flourish Design & Co.! Maritza was hands on throughout the process, making the planning and floral design so easy and seamless. We worked with her to switch up our design of a couple items throughout the process and she was incredibly accommodating and made it so comfortable and made us feel no shame in wanting to tweak to get exactly our design vision. Aside from the incredibly wonderful time we had planning and working with her, the floral arrangements turned out STUNNING! They were exactly what we imagined and more, everything was so beautiful and exactly the style we wanted. It’s truly amazing how many different floral design styles Maritza can do, it seems like there is literally nothing she can’t do! She was so fast in set up and with repurposing florals (ceremony to reception arrangements) and was so incredibly sweet. Truly a lovely person with an incredible eye for design, immense talent to create beautiful, stunning arrangements, with a professional and efficient attitude. We can’t stress enough to anyone how much we recommend Maritza. AMAZING value for the prices they charge as well. Flourish is much less than average in price and 100000% more than average in skill, personality, floral design. She made the process wonderful and made our wedding beautiful. We love you Maritza!!

I cannot say enough great things about our florist for my daughter's wedding! Maritza created the most stunning arch that truly set the tone for the ceremony. The centerpieces were equally gorgeous, with every arrangement thoughtfully designed to enhance the beauty of the day. What impressed me most was how she repurposed the ceremony flowers to decorate the cocktail and reception areas—such a smart and beautiful touch. Guests couldn't stop raving about how breathtaking the flowers were. The florist’s creativity and attention to detail made everything so special! Thank you!

Maritza did bouquets for me and my bridesmaids and boutonnières/pins for my husband, his groomsmen, and our parents for our wedding on 5/19/24. She was extremely responsive, professional, and was super easy to work with. She was also one of the few florists we found that just did personal florals and didn’t have a large minimum, which was amazing and perfect for our budget (for a minute I had a hard time finding that and was worried I was going to have do to flowers myself!). She also delivered to us at the venue!
Most importantly, she is an ARTIST. I wasn’t too picky about the bouquets and boutonnières, because I didn’t have a specific vision in my head. During our final meeting with Maritza, basically all I did was give her my Pinterest board with inspo pics, and essentially told her to run free haha. She asked some specific questions, like if I had to have any flowers, what color for the ribbon, but overall was happy to just take it and go. What she showed up with at my wedding was absolutely OUTSTANDING. My jaw was on the floor. And the boutonnières were perfect accents to the bouquets!! I am still blown away 2.5 weeks later thinking about it. They really were the perfect cherry on top to the day, and I loved my bouquet so much that we rushed to get them preserved afterwards because I wanted to keep them forever. Maritza is the best, her prices are super fair, and I would rehire her in a heartbeat!

1000% yes!! I swear when I’m looking at our wedding pictures I just zoom in on my flowers. She made my Pinterest dreams come true and more. The flowers were fresh and beautiful. She paid close attention, no detail was too small. I loved my flowers so much we had another company preserve them! So happy with her work🩷

I cannot say enough positive things about Maritza! I was planning my wedding while going through nursing school, so I started booking my vendors very early. Maritza was so organized and kept a log of my ideas and what I had stated I wanted, even though the initial planning meeting was about a year before our event! The florals turned out so wonderful and I received so many compliments on them! Even to this day, over a month after the wedding I am still getting compliments on them. They were my dream that came to life. Maritza asked a lot of questions during the planning meeting in order to truly gather an understanding of my vision. I’m very particular when planning things, and she took my detail oriented needs in strides and knocked the florals out of the ballpark. I communicated with so many florists, but as soon as I talked to Maritza, I knew she was the florist to pick. She was always so kind and offered ideas when I felt a little too overwhelmed with options without ever being pushy.

If I could give more than 5 stars to Maritza I would. My husband and I are absolutely clueless when it comes to flowers and could not give direction or verbalize what we wanted. Maritza asked all the right questions and gently guided us toward what we had in our minds but couldn't communicate. And she worked with our unique request to incorporate California wine bottles into our centerpieces. Our flowers were GORGEOUS! So colorful and exactly what we wanted. It's been five months since the wedding and we still get compliments on the flowers!

We had a specific vision for our unity lasso and our other florist was not able to design it so we reached out to Maritza and she was able to create a floral lasso for us that was exactly what we wanted for the ceremony. She did a great job and we're really happy with how it looked.

If I can give Flourish Design & Co 10 stars, I would. I was completely blown away by her & her team's work for my wedding. I am a flower newbie and was not able to provide specifics on this flower or that flower. I had some inspo photos that I shared with Maritza via Pinterest. She took those pictures and made my wedding day florals even better that I would've expected. She is extremely flexible and is able to work within any budget without sacrificing the look + quality. You could tell the flowers were extremely fresh and they lasted longer than a week after the wedding concluded. Highly recommend!!

Maritza was absolutely amazing to work with! She 1000% made my vision come to life and was so incredibly sweet and helpful along the way! She went above and beyond to make sure the color palette, floral types and arrangement style was totally in sync with what I was envisioning. I wanted the floral shapes to be natural and organic with a little bounce and some negative space between the flowers. Maritza took my vague descriptions and nailed every single detail. I got so, so many compliments on the florals.
She was so supportive day of and went way above and beyond her duties. She is a master at her craft and put me so at ease throughout the entire process. I can not recommend her enough! Thank you Maritza!

My hotel/venue had a renovation disaster last minute (literally 48hrs before) and we had to pivot the entire reception. Along with that I added a last minute bridesmaid and grooms men AND a last minute flower petal request. Maritza was AMAZING not only was she responsive every single time I called/texted her she exceeded my expectations my flower arrangements were GORGEOUS and man did she deliver. Not to mention she didn’t cost me an arm and a leg very reasonably priced I honestly couldn’t have asked for better!

I contacted Maritza when I wasn’t having luck finding a florist for our wedding. I’m not a very creative person but she asked me a series of questions and somehow brought my dream flowers to life. They were absolutely beautiful! She even made a special boutonnière for our 3 year old son with a magnet on it so he wouldn’t just himself with a pin. If you hire her you will not be disappointed!

Hidden gem! Saved our wedding!
At Flourish Design, we worked with Maritza. It was about 3 weeks from the wedding and our last vendor disappeared on us. In a panic, we found Maritza, explained the situation and asked what she could do on short notice. When I say she was the MOST PROFESSIONAL person I've ever met, I truly mean it. She understood our situation, spoke to us for over an hour to truly understand what we wanted, and got to work right away. That's not even the best part. The best part is her creativity. If you work with her, you must ask her about her alternatives to arches and decorating your sweetheart table. When we saw pictures of what she could do, we simply asked Maritza to explore her creativity and we would trust what she felt matched our wedding. Her work was so incredible, that not only did our guests compliment her work, the venue itself was taken away on how beautiful everything looked. So to reiterate, Maritza and Flourish Design will sit and truly learn who you are and what you envision your wedding to be. And if you allow her to get creative, she will exceed your expectations 100%. We were so blessed and happy to work with this company. Genuinely recommend 10/10!!
