Flowerland

An unassuming little flower shop that has been around Athens forever. I had never set foot in there until I got engaged, but I am very happy I did. Deb, the owner, know's what she is doing and is great to work with. Her prices are, in my opinion, incredibly reasonable and she can work within your budget. She did bouquets for me and my bridesmaids, boutonnieres for the groom and groomsmen, and a leaf crown head for me. Everything was beautiful and Deb put a lot of thought into enacting my vision for the colors and ceremony aesthetic. I loved my crown the most; it was exactly what I needed to complete my bridal look and I got lots of complements. One of my bridesmaids, who has been in many weddings, said this was her favorite bouquet she had gotten. Overall, I highly recommend this florist!

Miss Deborah was great! She certainly knows what she’s doing. She was very well organized and generally available for me to come meet with her in the shop. She also met with my mom when I was too busy to meet right before the wedding. It was very reasonably priced as well. We are so happy we went with Flowerland.

My experience with Flowerland was great all around. Deborah did an exceptional job and was very easy to work with. The bouquets and flower girl halos turned out beautifully! She also put together terrarium centerpieces that were a big hit with the guests and made great parting gifts. Deborah was very knowledgeable about our venue and was really helpful with set up. Overall we were very happy with the way everything turned out, and thrilled that we could get everything we had pictured at an affordable price.

Deborah is so talented, so reliable, and so much fun to work with! My husband and I really wanted our wedding to have a "hometown Athens feel," and I am so glad that we stumbled upon Flowerland! Deborah's family has owned the flower shop for something like 40 years, I don't know exactly but it's a long time. She knew our venue inside and out, knew all of our vendors, and was so comfortable with everything she had to do to make our day special. The flowers were absolutely stunning. I don't know much about flowers, so I gave her a few descriptions of things I like. She took my ideas and blossomed them into reality. She did all the delivery and set-up herself, and she obviously takes pride in her work. She was adamant about charging low prices, and cut me great deals. Many of the other florists I considered were seriously twice as much as Deborah, and I cannot imagine they know flowers as much as she does. This is a family run business, and as such they treated my husband and me like family. I am so happy with what came out. Thank you Deborah!
