I would give Flowers by Darlene a thousand stars if given the option. I worked with Marcy for my daughter's bridal shower and she exceeded all of my expectations. The flowers were off the charts! Every one of my guests was in awe. On top of doing an amazing job, Marcy was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Flowers by Darlene!

Darlene did the bouquets, corsage, and boutonnieres for our wedding. All of the bouquets looked beautiful and were priced reasonably. My bouquet was a cascading bouquet, and it was absolutely gorgeous! It has now been pressed and is hanging on my wall, and I love looking at it.

Darlene and Marcy were wonderful partners to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process! They were both so flexible in incorporating all of my requests, and were also not afraid to give recommendations from their extensive experience to help me achieve my wedding vision in creative ways I wouldn't have thought of myself. They know the North Shore area venues very well, and had so many great recommendations about what made sense for each particular space. Darlene, Marcy and the team are all so lovely; I would absolutely work with them again for future functions!

We planned our wedding remotely since we live out of state now but working with Marcie from Flowers by Darlene made the process very easy and reassuring. We had multiple zoom meetings to discuss our vision and she communicated efficiently via email to make sure ALL the details were answered before the bouquets, centerpieces and boutonnières were made. I was not worried about not seeing my flowers before the big day cause I truly trusted their vision! I didn’t think I explained what I wanted well enough but they came out better than I could have imagined!! Flowers by Darlene was amazing for our October wedding! Darlene was prompt with responding, helpful with choosing which flowers and arrangements to order and super easy to work with! The flowers were absolutely beautiful! We were sent photos and samples throughout the process to ensure the arrangements were exactly what we envisioned. Darlene even incorporated personal material (mothers veil and pieces of bridal party dresses) to enhance bouquets. Staff delivered and arranged all of our wedding flowers including an arbor and welcome sign AND came to retrieve center piece votives at the end of the night so we did not need to return items afterward! Our flowers were picture perfect and EXACTLY what we wanted AND affordable!! Highly, highly recommend!

If you're considering using Darlene for your wedding, DO IT! I was so up in the air about what to do with flowers and ended up reaching out to her kind of last minute, but she delivered the most beautiful flowers. I didn't think anyone would be able to create what I wanted on the budget that we had but she absolutely created the most beautiful flower pieces, exactly what I had envisioned. And on top of that she was super easy to get in contact with and really just took care of everything! I honestly can't recommend enough, she blew my expectations out of the water :)

Darlene is a total pro. Our goal when picking vendors was to find professional, highly reviewed folks who would make our life simple. There's enough craziness surrounding a wedding that the last thing you need is to worry about something like flowers or the DJ. Darlene is that person when it comes to flowers. We told her what colors we liked and showed some basic pictures, and she ran with it from there. I would absolutely recommend her again in a heartbeat.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Flowers by Darlene. When I was planning my wedding, I was working as a nurse and finishing up grad school, I was just beyond stressed. Absolutely loved my flowers. Darlene didn't bat an eye when I first contacted her and told her my wedding was a month away. I had one or two photos of what I wanted, but otherwise just said I was going for jewel-toned colors and she really delivered. Darlene knocked it out of the park for my wedding this past weekend. My mother used Darlene for the flowers for my engagement party, which turned out gorgeous. Darlene executed my creative floral vision beautifully for my wedding. I sent her a lot of inspiration images and she created arrangements that were absolutely stunning and just what I wanted. As any bride who was impacted by COVID can tell you the uncertainty and replanning of weddings is down right miserable. My husband and I went from having a large wedding this year to having a small ceremony for family. Plus doing the big reception next year and the headaches that come with this are not small. I cannot say enough about how much I loved my flowers and quite frankly all the flowers that she did for our wedding. I would recommend using her every time!

Darlene did the flowers for my friend’s wedding and coincidentally was also recommended by a highly respected colleague of mine. I couldn’t have been more pleased with Darlene’s exceptional services! We originally planned for a big wedding in Boston but due to COVID we had to cancel and decided to have a microwedding in Newport. Darlene was beyond accommodating with the change in date and driving 2hours from the Northshore to deliver our flowers! The stress of COVID and canceling the wedding of our dreams was quite the emotional rollercoaster, but with Darlene’s help and phenomenal organization skills she made the process effortless. For me seeing patients at a busy practice it’s always difficult to find time to communicate with vendors. We corresponded mostly through email, but she was accessible and very responsive through text and phone calls in the evening and weekends as needed. She was better at responding to me than I was to her! She was very understanding and considerate of my work schedule. Even when I had a 15 minute lunch break to go over final details before the wedding Darlene was so organized when reviewing flower arrangements and costs. I highly appreciated her efficiency and transparency with everything. When arranging to meet in person she was so hospitable to the days and time that I proposed, which meant a lot to me. For our meeting we were welcomed by a STUNNING, LUSCIOUS, BEAUTIFUL bouquet of flowers based on a dusty rose colored bridesmaid fabric that I previously mailed to her! I was truly impressed by her work, she has an impeccable eye for color palettes and knows what combination of flowers to produce a breathtaking bouquet. Also with COVID, her shop was clean, we wore our facemasks and felt comfortable and safe during our consultation. Like a true professional she was prepared with emails and pictures printed out of what I envisioned for the wedding. The day of the wedding, we had an early First Look photoshoot and the flowers arrived on time and on point! I was not only thrilled by her punctuality but was so amazed with how fresh and vibrant the flowers were after the 2 hour trek to Newport! With last minute additions, she came through with flower petals for the ceremony aisle and flower clusters for the cake. The bridesmaids bouquets, table centerpieces, corsages for our moms came out beautifully! And don’t get me started on my cascade bouquet and ceremony arch! Words can’t express how gorgeous and elegantly crafted the flowers were. It’s truly an artform that Darlene has perfected. You can tell she’s been doing this for a long time, she is passionate about what she does and it’s reflected in her work. She is very knowledgeable and an expert in her field, I’m beyond happy with the quality of her work. Throughout the process she has been personable, accessible, and accommodating. I highly recommend Darlene at Northshore Fruit Basket. She will definitely exceed your expectations!

I can't say enough great things about Darlene! She is a total pro and it was a pleasure working with her every step of the way. Darlene has consistently been one of my favorite vendors to work with as it was completely non stressful, and when we had a vision, she was able to execute on it, and when we didn't, she had great suggestions and examples. Also, as a true testament to her, we changed the date of our micro wedding at the last minute due to weather, and she was able to accommodate everything with beautiful centerpieces, bouquets, and a perfect chuppah. She did a great job with our micro wedding and I look forward to working with her for our larger celebration next year!

Darlene was recommended to me by a family member and I am so happy they did! Darlene did ALL of my bridal shower centerpiece flowers, my rehearsal dinner flowers and wedding flowers. Darlene made beautiful centerpieces for our wedding at the Hawthorne Hotel on 11/2/19! Centerpieces were included as part of the Hawthorne’s wedding package and Darlene went above and beyond to accommodate everything we were looking for! She had great ideas to tie the flowers together with other parts of the wedding and was very inclusive in terms of what she provided as part of the package.
