Flowers by Steen was great to work with for my wedding florals and centerpieces. I was drawn to Florals by Steen right away because they offer both florist services and also centerpiece rentals, including setup and tear down! I was referred by a neighbor who used Flowers by Steen for the same reasons, and I am so glad that I heard about them before settling on another florist. I opted for floating candle centerpieces which would have been near impossible to do without the Flowers by Steen crew's help. Karen was excellent to work with. She immediately asked about my preferences and all of the fine details of the wedding I had in mind but also was not afraid to input her stylistic expertise, especially when choosing colors for my bouquet vs. my bridesmaids'. Karen was also organized during the entire process and was very accommodating and willing to make adjustments that were needed due to changes that occurred COVID-19 social distancing restrictions. She and her staff were also very reachable via phone/email to discuss last minute details with leading up to the big day. Thank you, Karen and Flowers by Steen, for making my wedding beautiful!

My wedding flowers were perfect for me - from the bouquets, to the sprays, to the simple and elegant centerpieces. Karen was so accommodating; she really took the time to appreciate my preferences and also introduced me to combinations that I hadn't considered, while also being mindful of our budget. This is long overdue, but I wanted to make sure I gave Karen a great review because she was absolutely outstanding to work with. I was planning my wedding from across the country, so I was sort of on a time crunch when I was in town and called to meet with her last minute, and she squeezed me in without complaint. I'm someone who gets overwhelmed very easily (and also does not know flowers at all), so it was so comforting to be able to show her a few pictures of what I was looking for and have her put together some suggested bouquets for me on the fly. As my wedding got closer and Chicago was experiencing record heat, Karen called me because she was worried about a few of the flowers I chose lasting all day in the heat - especially since my ceremony was not until 5pm. I was SO glad that I took her advice and swapped out some of the flowers, because my wedding day ended up being the hottest day in Chicago in years! Karen even surprised me on the wedding day and threw in an extra bridal bouquet for me FOR FREE so that I could have a bouquet for my first look pictures and then swap it out for a fresh bouquet before walking down the aisle, since she was worried about the bouquet lasting in the scorching heat. Karen is super sweet and she really does know her flowers, so if you hire her, listen to her. I was hesitant about changing a few things last minute, but I'm so so glad I trusted her judgment. All of the flowers were so beautiful on my wedding day (including the flowers on the ceremony arch, which were breathtaking, and I'm happy we splurged for them) and I truly felt like a princess with my bouquet as I walked down the aisle.

I could not be more pleased with my experience working with Karen at Flowers by Steen. Before meeting with Karen, I had met with four other florists and I was beginning to lose hope. I was frustrated and overwhelmed by the choices of flowers and the crazy prices I had been quoted. When I met with Karen, she addressed all my concerns and left me feeling inspired and excited for the flowers at my wedding. From the beginning of the meeting, Karen took the time to show me actual flowers and greenery so I could get a better picture of what I was choosing for my flowers. Additionally, Karen educated me on what flowers were in season and how to take care of the flowers during pictures for my winter wedding. Karen also offered a much fairer quote for flowers than I had received from any of the other florists. Throughout the process, Karen maintained open communication with me. When deadlines approached for final changes, Karen reached out to me with friendly reminders and assisted with final detail changes. Karen was patient and helpful which is exactly what a bride needs in the upcoming weeks to her wedding! Day of the wedding, the flowers arrived on time and the person who delivered them took the time to instruct my bridesmaids on how to best care for their bouquets. When we walked into the reception, we were blown away by the centerpieces Flowers by Steen created and set up for us. Karen and Flowers by Steen created the perfect flowers to complete our winter wedding vision. At the end of the night, they came and picked up all the rented pieces so it was one less task I had to worry about. I am so grateful I met with Karen at Flowers by Steen as she truly achieved my vision for my wedding flowers, answered all my questions and concerns, and offered me great service throughout my wedding planning experience. I am so excited her work will be captured in my wedding photos for me to view for years to come!

Karen is spectacular at what she does! She absolutely made my wedding vision come to life. Everything that she prepared for our wedding day was exactly what I wanted - and somehow even better than I imagined! I will say to be prepared when you meet with her. She is incredibly knowledgeable and is going to ask for all of your wedding details so that she can get it 100% perfect. She took all of my suggestions and ideas into consideration and was extremely patient when it came to details that I hadn’t finalized yet. The other florists that I had met with didn’t ask much about my vision, or about any intricate details of my wedding gown, but Karen did. She is a true master of her craft and I am so happy that I chose Flowers by Steen. You will not be disappointed!!

Karen was pretty amazing guiding us through the entire process. Honestly we had a great experience, everything turned out great for our October wedding. Pricing is just a tad high for my liking but overall I think it's worth it for the results. It made our wedding, absolutely beautiful.

Karen was outstanding! She listened to all my thoughts and ideas and put together the most beautiful bouquets for me and my girls, and centerpieces for my reception. The church flowers, and aisle runner and decorations, were so beautiful!! She took all the boutonnieres to the guys, where they were getting ready, and personally pinned them all on their tuxedos. The driver that delivered the flowers to the girls was so professional and courteous, congratulating me and wishing me a good day. I highly recommend Flowers by Steen!

As flowers go, it is truly one of the most important details of a wedding, and can make or break your vision. Karen has done two of my kids weddings. Both were totally different. She understands the brides vision and makes it come to life with her amazingly beautiful arrangements! We couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

Let me preface this review with my flowers were beautiful. However, I think overall quality of service is more than just pretty flowers. Two weeks before my wedding, I emailed Karen to let her know I needed my flowers delivered 30 minutes earlier than planned (10:00am instead of 10:30am). I was trying to finalize my timeline and realized my photographer needed the flowers there earlier to take detail photos. I immediately got an email back from Karen saying it was not a problem that she had changed the drop off time to 10:00am and she even sent me updated contract with the updated drop off time on it. Fast forward to wedding day. 10:00 arrives and no flowers. I had a friend call at 10:15 asking where they were and she was told by someone at the shop that they had 10:30 listed as the drop off time. Then the flowers arrived at 10:35 so not only were they not on time they were really not on time. And at first you might think, no big deal, but 35 minutes wasted on a wedding day/morning of timeline is a very big deal. I paid my photographer extra to come 30 min early for detail photos to better capture the rest of the morning's events so on top of the $100 Karen charges as a minimum for delivery she cost me the additional money I paid my photographer for her to then not take detail photos with the flowers. Right before the flowers got dropped off, I got a text message from Karen saying "so sorry the time didn't get changed on her end." Which to me made no sense since she sent me an updated contract and an email saying it had. After getting back from my honeymoon, I sent Karen a follow up email explaining my dissatisfaction with how things were handled and she just ignored me. Didn't try and rectify the situation (by perhaps giving me back the $100 delivery fee for not sticking to our contract on her end) or seem to care at all. I wouldn't trust that your flowers will be delivered when you need them from this vendor and that is why I would not recommend Flowers by Steen. They say that one thing always goes wrong on your wedding day - this was mine.

Flowers by Steen did an amazing job on my daughter's flowers! Karen was professional and knowledgeable. She knew instinctively my daughter's vision. When we arrived at the church and saw the flowers we were impressed and extremely happy! Much gratitude to this florist for helping to make the wedding a dream come true!!

I have to start by saying that my expectations were blown out of the ballpark. By the time I found Flowers by Steen Productions I had already had about 7 other consultations with nearby florists for my wedding. With being an out-of-state bride, this made things a bit more tricky and no other florist had the confidence or the vision that Karen and her team were able to give me. Karen and I had an initial call to run through the general wedding options and told me that she was capable of working with me even though I was out of state. We scheduled a follow up meeting to dive into the vision for my wedding, budget, and what she could do for me. During that call, I got the feeling that Karen had a strong grasp of what I wanted without even meeting me in person. We communicated via email several times to nail down color swatches, flower types, and miscellaneous rental pieces for the event. By the time I flew in (a month before the wedding) to meet with Karen for our final consultation, all we had to do was piece together the final touches and bouquet a sizes (which are tough to nail down via pictures). Everything Karen showed me in person was exactly what I envisioned from our earlier calls and meetings. I left the final meeting feeling more confident about our flowers for the wedding than any other rental or vendor. The day of the event, the flowers for the women were dropped off at one location and the flowers for the men were dropped off at another and the venue flowers were dropped off and set up and the event space. There is nothing else to say other than that I was blown away by how beautiful and well done each floral piece was (and how sturdy/well put together they were). I really never knew how important flowers were for an event until then. I received more compliments on our flowers than any other aspect or decor' at the wedding. Karen and her team took no shortcuts to make my vision a reality. I have heard stories of other brides bouquets falling apart or coming undone and figured that was just something to expect with all florists. That never happened in this case. I have already referred Karen to several of the other soon-to-be brides in my life and will continue to do so. I cannot say enough good things about Flowers By Steen Productions.

From the very first time we met to discuss my daughter’s vision for her wedding flowers until the very last time we saw you, you made our experience stress free. We knew once the decisions were made that you would take care of every last detail. From encouraging my daughter to order a freeze dried bouquet for outdoor pictures in case the weather was below freezing (which it was in January) to helping her pick out the perfect flowers to match the color theme of the wedding and incorporating the table lights, garland and candles into the centerpieces, you did indeed take care of every detail. It looked beautiful and everyone noticed. That is after you did such a "great" job on the flowers for her wedding shower. Thank you for also keeping within budget even with the set-up and take down at the end of the night. We can't thank you enough for making our experience so wonderful and beautiful.

My husband and I recently used Flowers by Steen for our wedding day and we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a florist. One of my friends used them for her wedding day and after seeing their flowers I knew I had to book them for my wedding! I know absolutely nothing about flowers and completely relied on Flowers by Steen’s expertise – Karen (the owner) was super patient and walked me through everything. She took the time during our consultation to go over different types of flowers, textures, and arrangements to make sure I understood all my options. The flowers themselves turned out beautiful – centerpieces were perfect and my bouquet was gorgeous. I plan to dry it out and preserve it in a shadowbox so I can keep it forever! I would definitely recommend Flowers by Steen to anyone looking for a professional florist for their wedding.

I cannot say enough how happy I am with Karen and Flowers by Steen. I booked Karen very early on in my planning process and wasn't entirely sure of my vision yet. Karen somehow managed to totally "get" what I wanted through a few photos and my vague descriptions of what I did and didn't want. I didn't have a planner and she was super helpful throughout the process helping me figure out what table linens were best and what decorations might be needed as she had experience in our venue. When I arrived at my venue we pulled in behind Karen's delivery van and I teared up for the first time that day at how beautiful the flowers were. I loved everything she did. It was so much more than what I even hoped for and I still comment on how beautiful my bouquet was in the couple sneak peeks I've gotten from the photographer every time I look at them. Honestly, I can't say enough that this was the best decision I made for my wedding. I HIGHLY recommend Karen and Flowers by Steen.

Karen was so great through the whole planning process! We loved how our flowers turned out for our wedding! She allowed me to deliver my decor the week before so I didn’t have to do it so close to the wedding day. We got married in a tent in August, and it was so hot for the setup, but she never once complained. We are so happy we went with Karen and her amazing team! It truly made the night! Even though we had a small logistical problem with the flowers in the tent at the last minute, Karen made it work. I would strongly suggest Flowers by Steen for any Bride, you won’t regret it!

Karen was amazing! She was the only florist to sit down with a book of flowers and help me pick out what a really wanted. I had a few ideas but she helped me bring my vision to life. The flowers were absolutely stunning. I almost cried when I saw them. She is also very reasonably priced.

Karen was amazing! From the moment my mom and I met Karen at our first appointment we knew she was the one we were going to book with. Karen was able to work within our budget and was so amazing to work with throughout the planning process. Her centerpieces and bouquets were so beautiful. You are able to do a mock arrangement prior if you'd like- we ordered one and used it for my bridal shower. Highly recommend!!

Flowers by Steen really is incomparable. We used Karen for our wedding flowers and she was absolutely amazing. She was one of my favorite vendors to work with. I had a lot of changes & additions to our flowers and she did everything we asked of her without bating at eye. Her execution the day of our wedding literally made me cry and took my breathe away. I'm not sure where to begin with Flower by Steen, from Karen organizing all of my many thoughts of what i wanted our flowers and overall decor to look like at our wedding ceremony and reception, to her allowing me to bring in my own Olive Trees and then decorating them for me, to answering all my random questions, to adding a flower wall the week of my wedding, and then finally to her so sweetly helping me get down the aisle and organizing my girls for me. I didn't know I needed Karen in my life until the day after my wedding when it finally set in how amazing her and her company is. You, hands-down-without-a-doubt, will not go wrong with selecting Karen and Flowers by Steen to do your wedding decor. She did such a beautiful job, that I will forever be grateful for her. Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating the exact ambiance I knew I wanted. I only wish I had my wedding photos back to shed a little light on her creativity.

Our flowers were beautiful and I couldn't have been happier with how they turned out! I didn't have any idea of what I wanted to start and Karen showed us different flowers and I choose from there, it was great. We met with her a second time in July to go over everything again and make final changes and updates. Again flowers were beautiful and they still looked beautiful a week after the wedding, but my one recommendation is that you review your final quote line by line. It was a disappointment to me that when we received the final bill, that many things from my second meeting with her were missing so it is very important to review your final bill.

Book Flowers by Steen NOW! Do not looking any farther than Karen and her team for your big day. Their vision, work, talent, and care will make the floral piece of your wedding day (or any event in which flowers are needed) absolutely perfect. I never once had to stress about the flowers being on time, in the right place, looking good, etc... We showed up at the church and it was perfect and then to the reception hall and it was perfect. Below you will see the rite of peace flowers. Those were our mom's favorite flowers. A small part of the big day that Karen made so special. Each piece was above and beyond our expectation. When we first met with Karen, I explained how I didn't want to spend too much on flowers and they weren't extremely important to me. My two main wishes were that my bouquet and my husband's boutonnière are freeze dried so we will have them forever. Not only did she accomplish that, the flowers put me into to tears the day of our wedding. For someone who didn't have much of a vision, Karen and her team's work was breathtaking.

Flowers by Steen supplied for flower for the wedding. And they were beautiful, but they did not show up to the church on time. They went to the wrong church. When I called Karen to ask where the flowers were she started yelling at me about how they were at the wrong church and it was my fault. Granted, there are two churches with the same name, but when we signed the contract with her, she described my church to a tee and even gave the dimensions of the aisle, and gave me tips from other weddings she has had there before. She had me crying on the way to my wedding which was a really great memory to have. Luckily I had my bouquet, but there were no church flowers, aisle runner, or bows. When they finally arrived to my church in the middle of the ceremony, her people got into a fight with the church planner because they wanted to set up in the middle of the ceremony and the church would not let them ruin my ceremony anymore than they already had. When I called a few weeks later to ask for the money back, just for the church flowers, she started yelling at me again! She told me it was my job to make sure she was at the right church. She also told me she would not reimburse me for the church flowers because no one even notices them anyways. If no one notices them, then why did I pay for them?? In regards to the church mix up: I did not know there were two Saint Elizabeth Seton Churches for one; two, why would she go to the one 45 minutes away, and not the one 15 minutes away that she told me she goes to all the time? She told me I should have verified the address when she showed me the address. She never showed me the address. When I pointed this out to her, she told me her job is to pay attention to detail and she knows she did. Well in regards to her attention to detail, she emailed me later in the day finally apologizing and called me by the wrong name 3 times! I would not call that attention to detail. In the end, she refunded me for some of the flowers, and apologized to Amanda... It was one of the happiest days of my life, but, her behavior in the beginning really stained some of my memories of this happy day. It really sucks watching my wedding video and not seeing any flowers, which continues to remind me of she happened that day. I only hope she learns to be more professional in the future, and actually does start paying attention to detail.

Karen is super talented. I had her do all of my flowers. She captured my vision perfectly and provided modern flowers. She fit right into my price range including delivery. She even added part of my moms dress to my bouquet handle in a way that exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t have been happier with the beautiful flowers she provided.

Karen was amazing to work with! I went in having a general idea of what I did ( and did not want) and Karen exceeded my expectations and really helped my vision come to life! Every single bouquet and centerpiece was beautiful; not one looked out of place. Her team delivered to two separate locations on time and set up all of the reception centerpieces. I rented candle holder from her and they were promptly picked up at the end of the reception. I didn't have to worry about a thing! Highly recommend!

I could not be more obsessed with my wedding flowers. Every single bouquet and arrangement was flawless and exactly what we asked for. I wanted big, full blooms and she made it happen! She was super organized and I did not worry about a thing on my wedding day. Her team delivered our personal flowers to the bridal suite, went to the boys room and pinned them on the boys, delivered them to the church, and made sure they were all set up in the reception venue. She was great to work with and the flowers were so so beautiful.

The flowers were exactly what I was hoping and more. I got so many compliments the day of and after and some flowers were still alive when we got back from the honeymoon!

4 days after my wedding despite 100% humidity, ALL of my flowers are still in pristine condition. The colors and textures exceeded our expectations....Karen is a true visionary and working with her team is effortless. She can work with any budget and always has helpful suggestions! Highly recommend; you will not be disappointed!

The flowers were lovely. She was very accommodating and helpful during the planning phase. They flowers were delivered and setup on time per my specifications. I loved my bouquet, the boutineers, and the centerpieces. My one gripe is that I very specifically stated that I did not want the bridesmaids bouquets filled out with greenery. Much to my chagrin, they were. My bridesmaids had to cut away all of the excess with manicure scissors! I was not prepared for that catastrophe. I contacted the owner afterwards, she was completely unresponsive. I guess once the money is collected, it was no longer her concern. That is not the way to attract or retain clients.

Karen was great to work with. We brought one picture of inspiration with us to our first meeting, mentioned a few ideas we had, and she delivered the most perfect set up for our special day. Her knowledge of flowers and greenery was so impressive, you could tell how passionate she is of her art. Incredibly professional for the day of and made sure every last detail was attended to. We used her based on a recommendation from my MOH and we’ve already referred other couples her way!

I absolutely LOVE Karen & Flowers by Steen! I am not very familiar with flowers, but it was one of the aspects of planning I was most excited about. I visited with a few different vendors in the area, but Karen was BY FAR the most knowledgeable person! At my meeting with her, I brought in a couple pictures of bouquets that had caught my eye..just by seeing those few pictures she was able to expand on that vision and help me create something that was GORGEOUS for my wedding. She immediately started pointing out flowers that looked good together in the garden style bouquet I had a picture of, as well as what colors the flowers came in & how the colors would fit together. She is very creative & really amazing at what she does. After we booked for the bouquets/boutonnieres, we ended up adding some flowers for centerpieces. She helped me find something that would work for the style I had in mind as well as something that stayed within our budget. She made picking 0ut the flowers so fun! The flowers came on time on the day of the wedding - they dropped off the girls' flowers at our hotel and the boutonnieres/reception flowers at the venue. It was very convenient and they turned out GORGEOUS. She had great ideas and again, really captured and expanded upon the vision that I was not able to articulate very well at the beginning. I would recommend Flowers by Steen for ANY event!

Karen Steen was absolutely fantastic as the florist for my May 2017 wedding at the Patrick Haley Mansion! With only a few planning sessions she was able to understand my "garden party" vision. I loved that she recommended in-season flowers that gave me the look I was going for, without breaking the bank. On the day of the wedding, Karen came to set up at my venue. She worked tirelessly to make sure every last centerpiece and bouquet was perfect for my big day. All of the bouquets and table settings were stunning, and exactly what I had envisioned. Karen's professionalism and talent went above and beyond!

To say Karen (and Flowers by Steen) was amazing to work with, is an understatement. She has been phenomenal! Her work is outstanding; gorgeous designs, flowers, bouquets, garland, centerpieces. Our guests were WOW'd - from the church to the venue. She is professional; always mindful of our budget and giving us plenty of options along the way. Karen is so kind and humble!!! When you have to work with someone for a year, I believe it's important to have someone that will be easy to work with and respectful - which is everything Karen was and more. My husband and I planned our wedding from New York, which, as difficult as that sounds, she made it easy and was always available to us. Karen was our florist and let me start off by OMG!! From our first sit down meeting with her she wow'd us. She was so knowledgeable. I came in with my color scheme and pictures of ideas i wanted for my bouquet and bridsmaids, etc. She was able to design off the bat exactly what I wanted. She pulled out books with pictures of each type of flower to make sure it what was what we wanted and how it would pair together. I left that meeting so confident and never worried about my flowers again. The day they turned out beautiful and beyond perfect. She nailed my cascading flowers and everything in between. She decorated our lantern centerpeices, flowers for the aisle and I couldnt be any more pleased with her.

Karen and Flowers by Steen is AMAZING. Karen did an amazing job of sitting with me more than once to get the perfect floral arrangements for our wedding September 30th 2017. Karen gave amazing advice when I was trying to pick out the overall look. She gave me various options on ways to go with arrangements while also being extremely respectful of our budget. When I was torn on things, Karen gave her opinion but always left the final choice up to me. When the flowers came, I got choked up because they were so beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I would use Karen a million times again, and I am telling everyone I know to use her. I know you will not be disappointed if you use Flowers by Steen for your future events. Thanks Karen!

Karen is truly a floral savant! From the first time I met with her I knew she was passionate and experienced in what she did. She was able to take my vision and add her creative spin to it. The end result was spectacular!! I still have wedding guests commenting on how beautiful the floral arrangements were. They say, "you must be really happy with how they turned out?!" They're right!! I was so pleased with the flowers for our wedding day! Karen did an absolutely beautiful job and we received so many compliments on the arrangements. The bridal and bridesmaid bouquets were stunning!!! She was extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process. I gave her an idea of what I envisioned and she helped take my ideas to the next level . She is super detailed oriented which is reflected in her work. I would 100% absolutely recommend Flowers by Steen to anyone getting married.

My husband and I used Flowers by Steen for our wedding on August 5th. Every floral arrangement was absolutely beautiful, from the bouquets to the cake flowers to the centerpieces. The flowers Karen used were gorgeous. The arrangements she put together were exactly what I envisioned for my wedding. Karen is extremely talented at what she does! She is so easy to work with and very affordable. I highly recommend Flowers by Steen!

We had my daughter’s wedding a few weeks ago. I just wanted to let everyone know that choosing Flowers by Steen was one of the best decisions made for that day. From the first time my daughter and I met with Karen, we knew that we wanted to go through her. She was very courteous, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. About three months before the wedding, my daughter told her that she was thinking of a different color scheme for the flowers and Karen went in the back and quickly put together a bouquet of what the new colors would look like. She was very helpful in so many ways including coordinating all the other decorations at the reception. The flowers arrived on time at our house and they were the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen. When I walked into the reception venue, I was blown away by how beautiful everything was. I would highly recommend using Flowers by Steen. As a matter of fact, I can’t wait to use them again for our next family event.

Amazing! I met with Karen a little over 1 year prior to my wedding and knew right away she was the florist I wanted to work with. She was creative, offered suggestions for flowers out of season, and after only meeting once was on the same page as me. Fast forward to 6 months to my wedding and I met with her the 2nd and final time. I left out meeting confident of her ideas. My bouquets and centerpieces were more than I ever could have hoped for! I was blown away when I saw everything for the first time. Her attention to detail is beyond perfect and helped make my wedding a dream come true. From bouquets, to the cake, to the aisle decor, to the centerpieces - it was all perfect! I knew in my gut Karen was the florist for me and have zero regrets!

Wow! Where do I even begin? Hands down, booking our wedding with Flowers by Steen was one of the best decisions we could have made! Karen is simply amazing! She has mastered the art of floral design to a "T". Not only is Karen unbelievably knowledgeable when it comes to the plethora of flowers that she works with, but she is also professional, patient, and incredibly down to earth. Our first meeting with Karen was very long (to say the least lol)! I am a huge perfectionist and my attention to detail was I'm full swing for my wedding! I had a vision of exactly what I wanted for my dream wedding, and as cliche as it sounds, Karen fulfilled every floral aspect of my wedding hopes and dreams. She was so patient with me during that first meeting, and with every additional meeting there after, allowing me to voice my thoughts, ideas, concerns and even change my mind multiple times. The part I loved and appreciated so much about our initial meeting was how Karen brought out samples of flowers from her back storage room to show me! I was in awe over how many flower books( they looked like flower dictionaries) photo albums, and real life examples she had for me to reference and help aid me in making decisions- and I struggled so much with making decisions! I learned so much in that first meeting, but as any bride knows, I felt overwhelmed with the endless amount of choices. However, there was a peace,my now husband and I felt, knowing that we were in good hands with Karen. We knew after that first meeting no other florist would ever compare to Flowers by Steen, and they didn't. My husband and I went home that night and looked at each other and said "We have to have her for our wedding!" Karen did an excellent job communicating with us every step of the way and was extremely accommodating as well. She took the time to chat with me on the phone and review page by page the contract and make any changes, as well as add additional flowers and centerpieces to our order. She also comminicated with me the delivery time for all the flowers for the wedding day, making sure I kept in mind the best interest for the delicate flowers I had in my bouquet because she knew just how much I loved them and didnt want them to expire prematurely as a result of delivering them too early. When the wedding day came, I was blown away by how gorgeous all my flowers were!! My cascading bouquet was the cherry on top! Karen created the absolute most breathtaking bouquet I ever could have imagined! It was stunning and prettier than any Pinterest picture you could find on the internet! Best of all, she worked so hard to include my favorite flower which was Lily of the Valley which were not in season for my June wedding, but she some how made it happen! I had a lady on the street tell me my bouquet reminded her of Princess Diana's wedding bouquet (and that was the next morning after my wedding!!!) They still looked amazing! As far as the reception venue, I was speakless. She went over and above with everything from the lighted tulle staircase, the magnificent centerpieces, to the head table arrangement! It was everything I wanted and more! The day was such a blur, but the flowers I will never forget! I can't wait to see our professional pictures from our photographer because I know they will look wonderful! Thank you Karen and Flowers by Steen for everything you did to make our wedding perfection! We are truly grateful!

Karen is amazing! Our flowers were gorgeous and perfectly matched our vision. However, the best part was the fresh flowers that she used to decorate our cake. Karen surpassed all of our expectations. Overall, a great vendor and a pleasure to work with.

Overall, I had a great experience with Flowers by Steen. Karen impressed me from the get go by putting together a vision of what I wanted when I didn't even know what I wanted. Prior to the wedding, I spoke with Karen twice and found that she was a bit short with me (it was around Mother's day and they were busy but I am still a paying customer and felt a little put off). My reason for the 4 stars really comes from the timing of my flowers getting to me. We set a time up 2 weeks in advance for 2 p.m. and I verified the night before with my hotel room number. Our flowers did not arrive until 3 p.m. when I was getting on the bus to head to the venue. We tried calling several times as well to find out what happened and could not reach anyone which had me flustered. Despite all of the late timing......All of my flowers for the day turned out BEAUTIFUL. They really do exquisite work and the bouquets and boutonnieres were just as I had imagined them. Even with the timing issue I would still recommend this company.
