Flowers In The Attic

I grew up going to the storefront of Flowers in the Attic, and so I knew that Ken and his team were an obvious choice for our wedding flowers. Ken exceeded all expectations, and was able to work with the one inspiration photo that I really loved. The flowers throughout the ceremony and reception spaces were perfectly designed to suit our wedding theme ("new meets old") and he blended modern elements with classic blooms. He was also able to incorporate all of the design elements that my mom and I had purchased on our own for the wedding events, and tailored them to fit alongside the arrangements that he made. Ken was responsive to all of our requests and listened closely to my vision for the floral designs: even ensuring that the groomsmen's boutonnieres matched the floral arrangements without using any flowers (the request of the groom!) We were even able to re-use some of our arrangements and decor in our reception space to get the most use out of all of our decorations. Ken Milko made me the most beautiful flower bouquets and centerpieces for my wedding! I was unable to meet with him beforehand due to living in another state, but he met with my mom and gave me exactly what I wanted. Everyone commented how wonderful and beautiful the flowers were. I would recommend him for any wedding!

Flowers in the Attic was a great florist to work with for my wedding needs. I wanted simple and elegant and they came through with the perfect combination of flowers/table arrangements. They were very accommodating and great to work with throughout the entire planning process. Ken is a great and talented artist – I was so happy that he was a part of making my day so special!

I choose Ken and his staff because I was confident in their work but I was a bit disappointed in their communication. 12 days before my wedding I emailed them to confirm things and go over my list. I got a call the DAY OF my wedding to confirm and had stuff on my list that was not in my contract. This was a bit upsetting. Then, the day of for set up and take down, I thought Ken would be there but never showed up. His staff was friendly and easy to work with while they were there. As far as the arrangements...I was under the impression that the tall centerpieces would have been a bit more "interesting" and the smalls, although extremely beautiful and creative, they were a bit smaller than I had envisioned. The escort table and our sweetheart table arrangements were AMAZING! So, although there were some issues, I liked them overall but was a bit underwhelmed and my expectations weren't 100% met.

Ken was a lovely person to work with! I didn’t really have a good idea of what I wanted regarding any of the flowers in the wedding. He was able to take the kind of vague descriptions I was coming up with and know which flowers to use and in what way. My bouquet was absolutely beautiful, as were my bridesmaids’ bouquets. The centerpieces were also very nice. I did have some issues through the planning process and with the boutonnieres, however. During the first meeting, we had discussed that we would be contacted about 2-3 months prior to our wedding date to have a final meeting regarding the details of our wedding. About a month prior to our date, I realized that we had not been contacted yet and contacted them regarding this final meeting. They apologized for the oversight; however, as a very anxious bride, it made me freak out a little bit. During the final meeting, which was not with Ken, I described that the groom wanted smaller boutonniere than we had previously discussed with Ken due to the thin lapel on his tuxedo. I specifically showed a photo of his tux so that we would be on the same page. My husband also wanted his boutonniere to be different than the others since he was the groom. On the day of the wedding, the boutonnieres were very large and all the same. It was like anything I said in the final meeting was ignored. I was very disappointed in this because it was basically the only thing that my husband had requested for the whole wedding. It was important to him and it was not what he wanted. Though I loved the bouquets for the ladies, I’m not sure if I would hire them if I had to do it over, due to the issues that we had.

Ken Milko and his team at Flowers in the Attic did an unbelievable job on my flowers for my wedding ceremony and reception. We originally had a family friend lined up to do the flowers for our wedding, but after an unfortunate situation, we were without a florist a few months before my wedding. Ken was very timely in responding to my initial emails, and after meeting with him once, I knew he was very passionate about what he did and wouldn't treat my wedding as "just another wedding". He had very good suggestions about what he thought would look best, and was very flexible when it came to budget. I was able to get everything I wanted (plus more) for under my budget! He even called the week of the wedding to let me know the flowers looked wonderful, and made several changes to our benefit, of course, after checking with me! Not only is he good at what he does, but he's extremely easy and fun to work with, and a genuinely good person! I continue to get compliments on the flowers, and the amazing ambiance he created at our reception.

The shop is a wonderful place to vist. The execution of my wedding flowers including the colors, style, composition, and creativity were over the top. I had ideas of what I wanted (colors and overall style) and they were able to deliver exactly what I pictured in my mind. I highly recommend this florist. Not only for the fantastic execution, but the quality and personable ness of all the staff and the wedding floral manager/director makes this florist over the top in all the best ways.

Flowers in the Attic did an excellent job of capturing our vision. Everything was exceptional and everyone was always so nice. Thank you, Flowers in the Attic, for helping to make our day so beautiful.

I have very mixed feelings about Flowers in the Attic. After I met with Ken and told my MIL how cute the place was, she decided to host my shower there. They offer 10% off (I think was for food, not the room rental) your shower if you were also getting your wedding flowers there. The shower was great. The set up was adorable. The food was delicious. They also offered 10% off in their gift shop that day to all the shower guests. I had my wedding flowers done here. My centerpieces were beautiful and I was really happy about them. When I met with Ken, he made some suggestions of how to change my bouquet (I brought in a picture of what I wanted). I agreed at the time, but afterwards changed my mind. I decided that the look didn't go with the rest of my vision. We communicated these changes over email and the contract was updated. I was disappointed to receive my bouquet before it was time to walk down the aisle because it was not what I asked for. Ken emailed that he misread my earlier email and apologized. We also had issues with the bridesmaids bouquets. I won't go into all the details, but we felt we were very clear with what we wanted at the first meeting and we didn't feel that what we received was what we asked for. I probably would have used Flowers in the Attic again, as long as I verified that everything was written out with a lot of detail. However, I wasn't happy with the communication post wedding. We sent a few emails back and forth. I sent him an email exactly two weeks ago and have yet to get a response or the refund we were discussing. Because of this, I know I can't use them again and would be hesitant to recommend them to a friend.

People have all commented that they never have seen such beautiful flowers then they ones at my reception. The centerpieces were so different and unique.

Ken did a wonderful job with our wedding. His designs are very unique and exactly what I was looking for. He transformed our hall into a gorgeous ballroom!

Everything was absolutely stunning

Ken's floral arrangements are amazing. They are very artistic unique and beautiful. I didn't really know what I wanted when I saw him but he came up with beautiful arrangements that I loved.
