Sidra was absolutely wonderful and just now, two weeks after the wedding, I've finally had to say goodbye to my beloved bouquet. When I was initially planning the wedding, I had no idea what I wanted for flowers and I'm afraid that the only direction I gave Sidra was "local tulips in every color except for white". However, Sidra's arrangements absolutely blew me away and my mother-in-law started to cry when she saw the small arrangement Sidra made for her because it was so lovely (and yellow! her favorite color). Sidra is probably the easiest person to work with on the planet and even if you know nothing about what you want, she will be able to somehow read your mind and end up producing amazing work. ALSO, Sidra is the only florist I've heard of who gives twine and parchment paper so guests can take home flowers! How wonderful is that? She'll work with your budget and amaze you; I promise! Thank you Sidra!!!
Sidra is a great florist. Her work is beautiful, and she really listens to what you want. She is also understanding about budgets and will modify her designs to help fit yours. We had the greatest confidence that she would deliver on the day of, which I think is huge -- you don't want to be worrying about whether the florist will come through on your big day. She did deliver, perfectly. We were thrilled with the outcome. She even found a beautiful way to incorporate an old lace heirloom into our chuppah.
Sidra has true talent in her floral design. Every piece she made was truly stunning. We got compliments from our guests all evening. Her lush arrangments added such an element of luxury and beauty to our venue. She took my vague ideas and thoughts and turned them into art. She is very relaxed to work with and responsive. She also has excellent taste, so you can put your complete faith in her that the end product will be beautiful
We just loved working with Sidra. Her designs felt unconvential yet elegant and she was very comfortable playing with out of the ordinary ideas. We ended up doing individual centerpieces that doubled as favors for our guests and Sidra embraced the concept right away. She provided great counsel on how to use and maximize our budget and really took the time to make us feel comfortable with our options/choices/decisions, which was amazing for me because I don't know much about flowers other than "those are pretty!"
We had great fun working with Sidra and recommend her highly!
I called a few florists that had been recommended to me. Many of them were inconveniently located and had very limited hours. When I called Sidra, she invited me to come to her shop (also her house) the next morning for coffee and freshly baked bread! I worked with Sidra on flowers for the actual wedding as well as for my bridesmaids' lunch. The flowers were beautiful and she is so much fun. I would definitely recommend her.
I really enjoyed working with Sidra, as I felt that she really understood what it was I wanted. I had an outdoor wedding at an old, historic manor in Leesburg, Virginia, and wanted really simple arrangements that would enhance but not take away from the manor's surrounding beauty. She was also very conscious about suggesting flowers that she thought were sturdy and would hold up in the heat, our of water. As for the centerpieces, I felt that the arrangements I wanted were not traditional- I wanted nothing too big, overwhelming, or majestic that would block people's views on the round tables we had set up, and she made such nice, small, bright, and colorful arrangements that were simple but perfect. Also, I was SO HAPPY when she brought our bouquets that were full of beautiful colors and simple, not overly done and just perfect for me.
Sidra was also nice enough to provide a sample of flowers and drop them off for one of our decoration meetings with the caterer, which played a huge part in our linens selection! It was nice to be able to set up the whole 'look'.
The only downside I thought about the flowers, although they were from a local, organic grower, was that although they were BEAUTIFUL, fresh, and 'awake' for the wedding, they didn't last much more than that day. In fact, the boutonnieres and my bouquet (which was not put in water during the ceremony as the bridesmaid bouquets were) were wilting by the middle of the night. I don't think this is something that the florist can control, but it was sad to see that little wilted boutonniere on the men's jackets. I don't blame the florist, and maybe it is the nature of the flowers we picked, but it was a slight disappointment.
Sidra made us beautiful arrangements, was flexible, and provided local flowers for us when other florists told us that would be impossible with the colors and flowers we wanted.
She worked with my budget and the flowers were gorgeous.;Some of the peonies had slight brown edges and did not last well.
