Pictures really don't do Flushing Town Hall justice - every part of the venue is beautiful. We took pictures in the garden, had our ceremony in the gallery, and had our reception i...
n the theatre. Each space was totally different but still gorgeous. All of the different artwork throughout the building gave it such a unique look - it's the perfect venue for anyone looking for a beautiful space that doesn't feel like a typical wedding venue. On top of that, we were able to choose every single one of our vendors, which was so difficult to find anywhere else.
Flushing Town Hall is a hidden gem! Unfortunately we lost our original venue but we were so happy that we found Flushing Town Hall. It's a beautiful and unique venue to have a wedd...
ing. It's affordable and you're able to rent the whole place! We had our ceremony in the garden, cocktail hour in the art gallery and reception in the theater. It's raw space and you pretty much have to do everything on your own. However, they do provide tables, chairs, audio and light coordinator, and an ice machine (we found out after the fact). Kevin was great to work with and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend this venue if you want an affordable DIY wedding!
Our wedding was 8/18/18, the day was amazing. The ceremony was in the garden, cocktail hour in the art gallery and our reception followed in the theater. All of the staff was so he...
lpful and attentive to our vendors, as well as, our guests. Kevin, the event manager was patient and professional, which allowed for our friends and family to experience the elegance and beauty of this historic venue.
This venue is amazing and beautiful. My husband and I had our ceremony outside in the garden and the reception in the gallery. It was the perfect size for my wedding of about 70 pe...
ople, but they also have a theater which is beautiful and can fit more. The space is so unique and cool. Its perfect for the DIY couple as you do need to bring all of your vendors in, but the price is unbeatable for such a fantastic space. Also, the money spent on the venue goes back into supporting this great historic building and community center. Kevin, the event manager, was wonderful and responsive the whole time. He was helpful and kind throughout. I couldn't have picked a better venue for the type of wedding I wanted to have.
We had our wedding here in May 2016 and it was a great success. First off, the venue itself is super interesting especially for jazz lovers. There is a permanent collection of Lou...
is Armstrong collages downstairs and a map of the Queens jazz trail. The main auditorium upstairs has hosted some big bands too and has a built in wooden sprung dance floor. It gets a little cramped with so much on the tables ( I recommend no more than 2 glasses total with the plates). The reason why I would give it four stars is because while Kevin was nice to work with, you have to aggressively follow up with him to find out all the pricing options, sound and lighting coordination, and what you need to do. There's no checklist given at the initial meeting and you're left to seek out many answers by yourselves. If you have a good wedding planner or caterer who has worked with Flushing Town Hall, this should not be a problem though. Our family and friends gave us many compliments on the venue - it is a different kind of space and feels intimate and historical.
We rented out the Town Hall's theater for our wedding. We were given access to the art gallery before the actual ceremony, so it worked out really well. Our rep, Kevin, was very ...
helpful and was able to get our music vendor all set up as well. The Town Hall was very accommodating to our 200 guests and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a nice venue to have a ceremony in.
We felt very lucky to have been able to hold our wedding reception at this historical building and got a chance to share the elegance and beauty of the lusciously green garden and ...
simply classic gallery of Flushing Town Hall with our guests. All the spaces are equipped with modern lightning and sound systems as well.
We had an excellent experience with Flushing Town Hall staffs throughout the whole planning and on the day of as well. As a catering service veteran, Kevin has a lot of offer to make our event just the way we want it but even better. On the day of our reception, we head out to FTH and saw that Ron was already decorating the garden entrance had ease our nervous selves. He even laid down a Red Carpet and it definitely made our guests felt like VIPs. All town hall staffs; Amin, Steven and Mike kept watchful eyes and very helpful throughout the event. We felt very special and thankful as all our needs and our catering company were tended to and as result, had a wonderful reception at a beautiful venue.
