I fell in love with flushing valley golf club when I was looking for a venue to host my wedding. It is absolutely stunning. What I didn’t know was that I would be dealing with 5 di...
fferent event coordinators, my guests would be receiving raw chicken the night of my wedding (as the bride I should have been able to take more than one bite without wanting to get sick), I’m not sure paying thousands of dollars for raw chicken was in the initial plans for the wedding, I do understand staffing issues at the moment, but, come on. And the final event coordinator stating she just can’t wait for “this wedding to be over with” around my guests for them to hear. Absolutely heartbreaking. I will say the owner is great and we had a great experience with her. But, after the raw chicken incident, you’d think we would be entitled to SOME kind of refund. Lastly, our meal was discussed to be family style in early spring, whether COVID or not, we stated this is what we wanted and the staff sprung a buffet style meal back on us the day of. When my mother asked why, the event coordinator stated “well the price you got away with, this is all we can do” once again, we don’t make the prices and it’s not OUR fault we paid the price that was given to us? I would not recommend hosting a wedding here.
