Our original photo shoot location didn’t work out due to rain, and they found a great alternate location on the fly for us. They kept our wedding day fun and stress-free. Most importantly, the pictures are beautiful. We received the digital pictures very quickly after our wedding. There were so many great ones it was hard to select just 50 for the album. While we had a structure and timeline planned, when things came up that we wanted to add last minute on the wedding day, they were open and willing to work what I wanted in. On the wedding day, they made me feel so at ease, whether it was during planned photo sessions or candid shots. They also went above and beyond in just being supportive in any way they could for me that day- like when I was getting really frustrated because my dress wouldn't stay bustled, Lindsey actually used her teeth to clamp down the hook so it would stay fastened. I loved watching them work- as they read each other's minds knowing where the other was trying to go with the shot, or would step back and let the other one take the lead in a certain setting. Flybird truly made my day exceptional, and they captured every precious moment and detail for me to treasure for the rest of my life. All my friends and family have been gushing over how great my wedding photos were. That makes me feel like a million bucks!

a coffee shop to determine whether or not Flybird would be our preferred vendor for our big day. Meeting them in such a casual setting allowed us to get to know each of them and their philosophies behind photography and their art. As soon as we walked out of the shop my husband and I simultaneously said that they were our photographers. It was apparent from that brief meeting that these ladies knew what they are doing and had the same vision as we did for our wedding. We booked them later that day. Ever since booking these two gems, the girls of Flybird were in communication with us - calming my nerves and reassuring us that we were on the right track. Any time I would feel overwhelmed with something for the wedding I would shamelessly email these girls who would respond quickly to ease my mind. The day of, however, is truly when they showed their worth. These girls knew how to work the crowd. They took charge and had it not been for them, we would not have gotten the shots we wanted or stayed on our time frame. They were more than our photographers. They truly enjoyed the day with us. Their energy and friendly demeanor made us and our bridal party feel at ease. I had at least three different guests and two members of my bridal party come up to compliment our photographers. They raved about their professionalism, personalities and work ethic. Truly, without them, I am not sure I would have been able to direct such a large wedding party and family. They did so with professionalism and courtesy. Finally, our photos. Oh My Goodness - they are more than I could have ever asked for. We recently returned from a vacation and had our flash drive waiting for us. We couldn't wait to relive our day by looking at the photographs. My husband and I knew we were getting the best out there but were still floored to see the stunning work that they delivered. There isn't a bad shot in the bunch - 1400 pictures!!! My brother just got engaged and I have already told him he is an idiot if they do not use Flybird Photography. I can't express to you brides-to-be how important it is to not worry about your vendors on the day of. We were very selective in our process and it was worth the research, time and money. There wasn't a thing in the world I worried about on my wedding day and that, in and of itself, is worth booking with these hard working and dedicated professionals. I assure you that they will not feel like 'vendors' but rather friends on your big day. Having people who share in your joy and happiness is not a normal experience to come by. Lindsay & Day made us feel like they were guests at our wedding who were sharing each moment with us - all while capturing these special moments in a truly beautiful and artistic way. Best decision we made!

friendly, professional and driven. They work with you well before the event to find out what kind of styles and shots you like. We knew we wanted a modern, edgy, artistic, chic style, and viewing Flybird’s previous work gave us a high level of confidence in their ability. But we left our requirements open to their interpretation and listened to their ideas and suggestions, and it turned out better than we could have imagined. The best thing I can say about Flybird, and what distinguishes them from every other photographer we have encountered, is they were able to capture the way my wife and I see each other. You know that one photo from that one time at that one place, taken with that one camera, with those perfect angles and lighting that makes you look exactly how you see yourself in your mind and how you see your partner? Maybe if you’re lucky you have accumulated a few of those over the years. That’s Flybird’s bread and butter – that’s what they create in nearly every shot. They shoot many pictures throughout the day as any good photographer would, but they have the aesthetic training and talent to pick out and tweak the ones that capture the raw emotion and humanity of your event in the style you asked for. It’s just unreal. The photos have a timeless quality to them – I am confident we will be looking at these wedding pictures in 50 years and they will be just as beautiful and relevant. Lindsey and Day were excellent communicators, willing to work through email, Skype, text, etc. They responded to our messages extremely fast and never left us hanging. They also did a great job of helping us plan out the day. They had enough experience to help us tweak the timeline and make sure everything went smoothly all day. They knew which things would and wouldn’t work, and they were happy to give us suggestions. They never tried to force their ideas on us. They were always eager to go above and beyond. They arrived in town early so they could scout the area for interesting spots and find little nooks and hidden areas to lend texture and artistic vision to the shots. Some of our favorites were shots that they said “Just trust us on this one”. They stayed longer than planned and made sure we got all the shots we requested. What you’re actually getting is two minds, two sets of eyes and two cameras – they were always bouncing ideas off each other and figuring out which shots were going to work the best for any given situation. They were able to take multiple angles on each of the “big moments” like the first look and the ceremony. They got the standard family portraits, but they also captured the candid moments, the unplanned, and the uniqueness and beauty of the environment around us. They shot those seemingly minor moments when you think no one is watching - The loving gaze as you cross the street together, the straightening of the tie, the funny joke, the intimate moments. They are able to show you unaltered reality, but it feels almost better than that. If you are sick of the blandness of wedding photography and you don’t want your pictures to be a blurry, smooth, pink-filtered mess of generic poses and paint-by-numbers portraits, you really can do no better than Flybird, the wedding photography cure.

on stop. Which is very true! When my fiancé (now husband) made the decision we knew right away that Flybird was right for us. It was so easy to be around them! They were very knowledgeable, professional, yet fun and allowed me to be creative in choosing what shots I wanted and where. On the day of they were so attentive and so wonderful. They made me and Caleb feel comfortable with all the cameras and made me feel beautiful, which is always important the day of your wedding! At the end of the night when they were ready to leave, both Lindsey and Day spent 10 minutes fixing the bustle in my dress bc it broke. They took the time to pin me up with safety pins they had on hand bc they are prepared for anything obviously! I would say that these ladies went above and beyond our expectations and will be using them again in the future for family photos and more!

r wedding because they felt like such a part of the celebration. We heard from many guests about how well they fit in and were completely comfortable getting candid shots. Some photographers at events can seem intrusive or uncomfortable, but Lindsey and Day made our guests feel comfortable, which certainly came through in the fun, candid pictures that we have seen. Beginning the wedding process, I had researched reached out to many photographers. Lindsey and Day responded right away to see when we could sit down and meet. This may sound like a small thing, but for me responsiveness was very important. Some photographers got back to me 3 or 4 weeks, and some actually, not at all. When we met with them, we knew we clicked right away. We had also seen some of their work and really enjoyed how they captured a lot of candid moments and also their creativity. Their responsiveness was not only shown for the first meeting, but throughout the entire wedding planning. The last two months leading up to the wedding, I would e-mail them with questions and suggestions and they always got back to me right away. I couldn’t appreciate this more. We did not have a wedding planner, but their involvement and advice throughout made it seem like we had one. We also loved their timeliness in the delivery of their product. When we first met, Lindsey & Day had said would deliver our pictures within two months, but they strive for getting it delivered sooner than that. And they did deliver. We received our engagement photos about three weeks after our session. We have already received a sample of photos from our wedding which was less than three weeks ago, and should be getting the remainder in the next couple of weeks. We are also very grateful for this as I know some couples have to wait 3-4 months before they even see a photo. The weather forecast for our wedding was not good, and it did in fact rain. What was wonderful was that Lindsey and Day kept me calm and we had fun with it. They made the best of a stressful situation and they were able to help reduce the pressure of the day. I loved how they were flexible too as we have to change some things around last minute due to the weather. We honestly couldn’t have asked for two better photographers. We like them so much that if they weren’t our photographers we would have asked them to be guests at our wedding!

o what we wanted from the moment we met them, were reassuring (they offered me comfort when I thought it was going to storm during our outdoor wedding), patient, understanding, flexible, provided friendly directive when necessary, and I couldn't be happier with the teaser pictures I've seen. I don't know how they do it! I also was so impressed with how well they worked together - they are a true team and their ability to work so well together benefited us :) Lindsey and Day have great personalities so they were super easy to work with and just wanted to make us happy by doing what we asked and more. Also, as people in the business, they offered gentle guidance when we weren't sure about a piece of the planning phase; that was really helpful. These two will go above and beyond for you. Unfortunately, the company we hired for transportation sent a trolley that malfunctioned leaving us with no transportation as all our cars were already brought to the hotel so Lindsey and Day, without hesitation, offered to drive as many as would fit in their car to take pictures and to our reception hall (we took them up on that). I look forward to hiring them again if we ever have a need for photographers (which I'm sure we will!) and hope you do too.

Neither of us are comfortable with photos being taken of us, but Lindsey and Day did a beautiful and thorough job working with the locations we had to get the best shots. In addition to their clean, artistic, and unique approach to taking pictures, Lindsey and Day work well together as a team. They are assertive in their work, which was a characteristic I did not notice in many of the photographers I interviewed. I knew that, even with the demands of the day, they would get the pictures that we agreed upon. They also thought through the day very carefully with me, to ensure that everything we wanted to happen would be accomplished. While I am organized, I found their input in the timeline of the day valuable. Overall, they were organized, responsive, and worked well with all of our families. Would highly recommend for any special occasion.

re looking for from a photography standpoint for our wedding. We didn't want our photos to look too posed or uninspired and were afraid if we went with one of the big studios, we'd just get lost in the shuffle of other weddings. Flybirds made our day so special and unique with each and every shot. Really listening to our wants and needs and delivering! We had a ton of fun with them and felt like they were part of our family at the wedding.

with Flybird. Immediately after we left our "meet and greet" with Lindsey and Day (no, really - as we were walking out the door, the decision was made) we knew it was going to be a great fit. Their personalities and styles balance so well and it's awesome that you get to have them both on your wedding day. Our photos turned out BEAUTIFUL. They captured our personalities and the vintage theme of our wedding perfectly. Our pictures came back timely and there were LOTS of them. We used Flybird for engagement photos as well, and were also thrilled with those. I have two tips for couples choosing a photographer. The first is more generic, but the second is specifically related to Flybird: 1. Make sure you give your photographer a list of photos that are important to you. Somehow, I made it through the day without a single picture of me and my mom together...Which seems strange, but the day goes by in a flash so think about those things with your photographer ahead of time! 2. Realize that Flybird does not offer a photo hosting site after the wedding. This worked out just fine for us, but you will have some family members/friends who might not understand that they won't be able to view and purchase prints unless you upload all your pics to a site like shutterfly. As soon as you meet Lindsey and Day, you will be sold. We have already recommended them to several friends and we are sure we will use them for baby pics someday when that time comes. We were also located in the suburbs, so they are willing to travel a bit which is great. I would highly recommend them!

estment. First of all, Lindsey and Day are great to work with. They will lead you to poses that are natural for you and do not feel awkward and forced. They quickly read the people in your wedding and adapt to make you, your wedding party, and guests feel comfortable. They are also so on top of it. Need blotting paper, a comb, or cover up? They've got all of it in that little photo bag, and they make sure everyone looks great in all your posed shots. We had our preview in about a month and all photos (over 1100 of them!) in about 5 weeks. You will love these ladies and their work, so book them before someone else does.

Are only complaint is that we don't have enough wall space to print all of the pictures they took. ;-) When you invite someone to capture your most special day you need to have a relationship with them. They need to "get you". Lindsey and Day got us. They have such a great eye, and the composition of the pictures is incredible. It is so much fun to relive the moments in the pictures. I searched long and hard--went on many photographer interviews, and saw great techniques and styles--but people were charging up the butt for it! It wasn't until I met Flybird Photography that I felt in my bones that this was right. We clicked. They were like my pals. And best of all--I was paying an appropriate amount for what I was getting and it was WORTH EVERY CENT! They didn't charge $250 for extra hours or nickel and dime me like others out there. They were devoted to my wedding on that day and worked their asses off for us. They gave five-star service, produced excellent images and gave me personal attention the entire way through. I HIGHLY recommend going with these photographers--they are absolutely excellent.
