We used Flying Horse Catering for our wedding, and they were absolutely amazing from start to finish! The food was incredible — our guests are still talking about the pot roast and...
the Amarillo Jack chicken. Everything was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented.
One of our favorite touches was that they surprised our guests with pizza for a late-night dance snack, which was such a fun and thoughtful addition. It kept the energy up on the dance floor and was such a hit!
Their team was professional, organized, and made everything feel seamless. If you’re looking for wedding catering that delivers both amazing food and an unforgettable experience, I highly recommend Flying Horse Catering!
FHC did an excellent job for our home wedding on August 13 in the Pinery. They were punctual, professional, easy to work with and our guests raved about their steaks and salmon. ...
Don’t think twice about reaching out to them for a quote, Deby and her team will take great care of your guests on your big day.
I had a small wedding event for my daughter in my home before her big cruise ship wedding. I worked with Debbie Dalla at Flying Horse Catering who assured me they use only “fresh ...
ingredients, made from scratch by a professional chef. The website states, “excellent food” and “very best upscale dinners”. Because there was only 30 guests we could not do a taste test. Deb really sold me and I believed her. The food was absolutely horrible. We ordered “roasted sliced seasoned tri-tip with sautéed mushrooms, peppers ,onions, in a red wine demi”. We received extremely overcooked, very well done, with absolutely no visible vegetable or red wine sauce. It had a small amount of tasteless gravy, very tough, stringy, difficult to chew and flavorless. The mashed potatoes Deb said were “light and fluffy, delicious and made from real potatoes”. They were disgustingly watery that tasted like a powder mix. One guest said “they taste like KFC’s”. Others laughed and sadly agreed. The salad was suppose to be “mixed green salad with lettuce, shaved radish, sliced cucumber, grape tomatoes, grated carrots, sliced red onion”. This was a joke! It was nothing but mixed green lettuce with an extremely minute amount of garnish in a narrow row. We also ordered “Chef’s vegetables (plural) in a buttery wine sauce”. In a phone conversation between me, Deb, and the bride, Deb stated, “it is a nice, in season, vegetable medley sautéed in a buttery wine sauce”. We received extremely undercooked, stringy green beans only, without flavor or sauce. Everything as stated in the contract, by Deb, and on the website did not happen. It was also clearly stated in writing that the food would be delivered ready to eat at 5pm. The driver interrupted our cocktail/appetizer hour and delivered it at 4:09. He apologized and stated he did not read the correct delivery time and would bring our food fresh as promised an hour later. It was clear the food was prepared earlier in the day and sat for a very long time in warmers. The bride wanted the affair to be simple, private and opted for no servers and disposable chafers with sterno. Deb assured her this would be no problem. We never received a follow up so I sent them a review. A month later Jim, the owner, replied in a review by attacking me, calling me rude, and outright lying about me, my guests, delievery that took 5 minutes, my “budget” that didn’t exist, and us not using “professional insulated containers” and their servers. He never addressed the real and only issues of the poor quality of the food and not at all what was promised and described or stated in the contract. I paid them up front $1,176.35. I never asked for any refund! Brides, this is your special day! I’m only stating facts and my opinion so that you don’t make the same mistake we did! Despite the dissapointment from flying horse, a great time was had by all and the appetizers and desserts by others was excellent and made up for the lousy food we had to throw away. Everything else, including the most fabulous cruise wedding ever, was perfect! To a great wedding for you all!
