Words can not even express what they did to me. Completely ruined my skin on my legs. I’ve had laser hair removal before and other IPL laser treatments and this never happened. The spa is extremely unprofessional. Twice since I have been coming almost monthly since April, they assigned me a different technician for my laser treatments for my intimate skin area, and they never reached out to me to give me notice that the technician I had scheduled with was not available. So I arrived at the salon to a woman I’ve never seen before telling me my appointment was with her. This last time that this happened she completely burnt my entire legs all while telling me any discomfort I was feeling was due to razor burn and different technicians having different techniques. Martha also spoke with me during our treatment about how she had extensive experience working with people of color since she had just transferred from a different spa downtown Phoenix that saw a more diverse group of patients. She claimed that she was well aware how to adjust settings on lasers according to skin type and color. However, it was later confirmed by another staff member at the spa that this woman should have never been using the technique she was using and it made it more likely for her to burn me. The spas only response to this is to give me my money back for that specific service on that specific day, write me two prescriptions, follow up with the nurse, and a bunch of apologies and unwanted “empathetic” touches from management. I work in a career that is based on my image. I’m unable to work now and my confidence that I’ve always had is gone. Thanks focal point and manager Michelle for ruining my life and my income.
