Folklore Photo is a wedding photography company based in Encinitas, CA. Owner Eri Morita has more than two decades of professional experience. She studied at the International Center of Photography in New York City, and she has worked as an editorial photographer for several leading international magazines. Eri loves meeting new people and making real, meaningful connections; she treats every couple like family. Eri doesn’t just create beautiful works of art; she captures slices of life. Her work is a celebration of real people and the love, joy, and laughter they share. Eri can’t wait to capture the moments you and your loved ones will remember and treasure forever. Folklore Photo offers several packages to choose from, including a wedding ceremony and portrait package, an elopement or mini wedding package, and three additional wedding packages. Her most popular package includes a pre-wedding consultation, eight hours of event day coverage, high-resolution images with printing rights, an online gallery for downloading and ordering prints.

Pursuing her dream to become a photographer, Eri Morita studied at the International Center of Photography in NYC. Eri then went on to work as an editorial photographer for magazines including W, Vogue Bambino, Vogue Nippon, Newsweek, Seventeen, Cosmo girl among others. She explored Hawaii, Tokyo, Shanghai and Los Angeles before settling in San Diego North County. She has 20 years of experience in beauty, portrait and wedding photography, always making personal connections with her clients and photographing them as if they were her own family.

and for ourselves. Eri was incredible- she posed us when needed and hid in the background to catch candid shots. We cut our photo session short because we wanted to be alone and celebrate and Eri was so understanding and still delivered so many great pictures. I get nervous around strangers and Eri's presence was perfect - she helped me get at ease and actually enjoy my wedding day instead of being nervous for pictures.

elevated them to a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind photo set! As an artist myself I greatly appreciate the care and insight she utilized to help us get the perfect wedding photos. She is absolutely a joy to work with and was invaluable for her direction helping us pose and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Of the many vendor quotes I received, her pricing is very reasonable (perhaps undervalued for her caliber of service!) and I would hire her again in a heartbeat. Some vendors are difficult to get a hold of and yet another major benefit to Folklore Photo Studio is her responsiveness/communication. Planning events is hard enough without vendors being difficult to reach.
