Folktale Venue

Folktale was absolutely THE BEST! We searched for a venue close to our family reunion site, and they came up as a new venue. We visited during their December 2023 bridal fair, and fell in love with the location and the staff. We visited one other location before making our decision, but we really knew Folktale was the one. Planning a vow renewal/wedding via long distance can be a challenge, but Lauren made it so easy! VERY responsive, and I promise no one could work harder to make your vision come to life. She maintained constant contact via text, phone and email at every step of the way, and promptly made any adjustments and additions requested. Contracts were clear and concise, and pricing was excellent, followed up in writing with any clarifications needed. We wanted "vintage, not rustic" and Lauren made it happen. Although we didn't use the vintage china that caught our attention on the website, we did use the vintage glassware for table settings and centerpieces. Lauren did a couple of variations of the tablescapes for approval via email photos, and they turned out beautifully! The floral (mix of artificial and fresh) was all beautiful and lush, the exact blooms we requested. The setting was peaceful and serene, and fit the wildflower theme so well. The food was delicious, and exactly what we pictured for a wedding brunch, complete with the his/hers bagel sandwich station as requested. Service was excellent! Folktale coordinated with the sound vendor, and they did a great job coordinating our playlists for the different parts of the day. Minor glitch was addressed promptly and resolved before the ceremony. We did not use a DJ, but a handheld mic was available for toasts and introductions. Lauren recommended Ronald Makaramba at Cleanvisuals for our videography--absolutely the best! Easy to work with, and a joy to have him and his assistant with us on the special day. One minute teaser video is excellent and completed on schedule. Longer video still to come, but certain it will be perfect as per Ronald's standards. We also rented the farmhouse as an AirBNB for our bridal party. Separate review on the AirBNB site, but it was perfect for the ladies to spend the night after rehearsal and get an early start on wedding day with hair and makeup. Second room conversion by staff to the groom's suite on morning of was seamless and perfect. Very, very pleased with our experience and highly recommend!

I worked with Folktale for my tables capes and yard game rentals. Lauren and her team followed my vision so perfectly and gave me so many options for every detail from asking me do I want mix and match goblets to letting me rent 3 yard games- everyone loved the cornhole once it got darker. Folktale Venue is so amazing and I will for sure use them again whether its baby shower, birthday, etc.
