My husband and I had the wonderful experience of having our wedding here- we were married on the Rose Vineyard, and had our reception at the Vineyard House. It was an absolutely beautiful place, everyone had a great time, and the food was great! I also consider myself a bit of a wine snob and can honestly say I LOVE all Folktale wines- to the point where we had a custom labeled bottle of their Cab made for our wedding. The ceremony on the lawn was gorgeous with the grass and hills in the background, and they set up a 'bubbles bar' before the wedding which our guests loved. Cocktail hour was on the back patio of the Vineyard House with great views of the mountains too! We then had the reception set up in the courtyard which was absolutely beautiful. They then moved all the furniture out of the house itself for dancing later. It was so much easier to have all of the food/drink/tables/chairs/linens etc be through Folktale, so in addition to our planners we were more than set for everything. Couldn't have picked a better spot for our perfect day!
Folktale is a wonderful place for a wedding! As a wedding videographer, the staff has always been friendly and willing to help when we film weddings at the venue. It is nicely spread out and even has a beautiful cottage for your wedding party to get ready at on the big day. The best part about Folktale is that everything takes place on the property, so your guests (and vendors!) don't have to go to multiple locations.

Her work allowed her to rub shoulders with celebrities like Channing Tatum, Magic Johnson, VP Nominee Tim Kaine, Emmitt Smith, and many others.Interestingly, Erika’s educational background initially focused on psychology, driven by her dream of becoming a criminal profiler for the FBI. However, she found her true passion in the events industry at an early age and shifted her focus entirely to building her career in event planning.After spending several years in Los Angeles and then four in Maryland, Erika returned to her hometown of Monterey. She brought a Mini Schnauzer named Hanz, and together, theyembarked on a new chapter.Outside of her career, Erika is a passionate entertainer who enjoys throwing parties for friends. Erika’s interests also extend to fashion and design, and she has a fondness for beingin nature, foraging for local delicacies such as elderberries, ramps, and herbs. Additionally, she dabbles in holistic medicine, adding depth to her diverse interests and talents. Erika was drawn to Folktale because of its stunning location and commitment to sustainability. She appreciates the owners’ dedication to their employees, the community, and the environment.
