What a perfect spot!! The location can’t be beat, literally a 1min walk to all the restaurants and then a 2 min walk to the beach! The room was so cute and COZY! We loved having the glassed in patio area outside our door. It was so fun to sit...
on the couches and play UNO! The pool is beautiful, although we didn’t get in this time. Cornhole. Everything we needed for a perfectly chill R & R weekend! Pics w our gold cart, so fun! They had the sweetest Halloween celebration for the island on property

We’ve been coming to Folly for several years and often stayed at Tides, but this stay made us fall in love with the Folliday Inn. The location is great with an easy beach access route. The pool was never crowded and super relaxing, plus we love...
d that we could bring our dog and enjoyed sitting on the big porch of the Barrelback Room. We also loved all of the beautiful landscaping and butterflies it attracted. It was such a peaceful trip. We definitely plan to stay here again.

This was fantastic for a short family beach vacation. We knew going in that most of the value was in the location--which is wonderful, two short blocks from the beach and no need to carry any valuables. There's a shower at the pool area to ge...
t the sand off, and the air-conditioned porch around the rooms has space to dry swimsuits and leave sandy things. Our room felt a little small but had everything we needed.

We had a power outage in the bathroom at 6pm on a Sunday evening due to a tripped breaker caused by the hairdryer provided management. We called the "24 hour emergency maintenance" number, and the person who answered the phone did not even know...
Carolina One owns The Folliday Inn. Strike one. Then she said someone would get back to us during business hours the next day, not that evening. That was not helpful considering we had no lights or power in the bathroom. And we were getting up before dawn the next morning to swatch the sunrise and get an early breakfast. Strike 2. I called again around 9 or 10pm and was given the same answer. Strike 3. So we had to prepare for bed, and shower the next morning, in the dark. What is the point of providing a number labeled "24 hour emergency maintenance"and then not actually providing any support for even a partial power outage? It was useless. The property is poorly managed. The sign says it's an "inn", but that's clearly a cute marketing ploy. It is not an inn. It is a poorly managed vacation rental with no on-site presence from anyone at Carolina One. Just cameras watching guests from a distance. We paid just about the same for a nice hotel experience in the historic district in downtown Charleston, which was actually managed (imagine that), not to mention all the amenities and other benefits of a staffed hotel experience. But with this place the value is just not there. We overpaid for a very mediocre stay, and couldn't even get someone to flip a breaker to give us power in the bathroom. We will not be back.

This place could be great. Proximity to beach, free beach chairs and surfboards, the pool, even the room was kinda nice. The problem is that no one actually works on the property, so when there are problems — like our room which we were locked ...
out of until 4pm sharp even though it was ready hours before, or the overwhelming smell of cheap cleaning products when we entered, or the bath tub that was clogged with who knows what from previous guests, the black mold in the AC, the lack of bedside outlets, the TV which didn’t work because it’s streaming-only and didn’t have enough memory, or the unattended-to garbage around the property — these are things that someone on-site could conceivably attend to. For the room rate, you’d think it might include that. But no. Shame.
