Tabitha, the wedding coordinator, is awesome and so nice. I enjoyed working with her. She worked so hard to accommodate me in every way that I wanted to make it my dream wedding. The price really was not too bad considering everything we got with the experience. My only complaint, which was not enough to detract a star, was I did not like the bartender that the venue provided AT ALL. She was rude as hell and severely lazy, like she would have rather been anywhere else but there. At one point, the water station ran out of water and when I asked her if it would be possible to get more, she gave me such a stank eye. Overall, great value, beautiful venue, sweet wedding coordinator, and such a special experience. Oh, and the reception food provided by the venue was PHENOMENAL.

We were so happy with everything and love that we can come back for anniversaries and vacations. Can't recommend this place enough!

Tabitha Henry (wedding coordinator at Fontana) jumped in immediately and helped us change our date to the following year and stayed in contact with us as much as she was able during Covid. We came back the next year for a vow renewal and could not have been more pleased. They allowed us multiple visits and taste testings and so much more. We fell in love with the quietness of Fontana from our first visit and we still visit as much as possible. It is very rustic (especially the accommodations), but the staff were 5 star. We received so many compliments from our guests on the food and service for the entire time we were there. We had multiple people who had difficulties walking and Fontana went above and beyond to make everything accessible to them. We were so pleased with the entire process and actually thankful Covid messed up original plans so we could spend another year visiting our new family in Fontana. We highly recommend Fontana and their staff for any events.

ect it turned out! We are very focused on our friends and family, and a main goal of ours for our wedding was to make it an entire weekend experience as opposed to a 4 hour reception. Our vision was to find a place where our guests were on site for the whole weekend, but had enough attractions/activities available for everyone to enjoy their time on their own as well; to be able to have a vacation! Fontana Village absolutely accomplished that 10 fold. There are plenty of outdoor activities, pools, putt-putt/games, hiking, the marina, the gorgeous mountains, and not to mention the DELICIOUS food. Our guests are still raving about how incredible their time was; many of which are already planning their trip back! Every single staff member we encountered was so incredibly accommodating, helpful and friendly throughout the entire property. Tabitha Henry is the absolute best!! We started this process before Covid, and while things were a little uncertain there for a little bit, she contacted me as soon as everything was back in action and took care of every single little detail we asked for. I know I sent Tabitha a million emails going back and forth on things and had a lot of moving pieces to figure out when trying to plan for the entire weekend, but Tabitha was always so helpful, patient and accommodating. Anytime something changed or was added she had down in her notes, and she had everything we talked about set throughout the whole weekend; not a detail missing! Everyone was so relaxed, and anything we asked for they did their best to accommodate and make it work. We had a lot of time in the venue to set up, and the Bridal Suite is beautiful! We were even able to get a tray of sandwiches brought in for lunch while we got ready, which was well needed. John was also amazing! He was our point person for set-up and was incredibly helpful. Also, Jonathan and Robert in the Bear’s Den Lounge and the Wildwoods Grille were the best throughout the weekend before and after the wedding! We were planning on having the Rehearsal Dinner outside, and then a Welcome Party at one of the firepits for our guests that came in on Friday after the Rehearsal Dinner. It absolutely poured all day, and Tabitha and her team wasted no time rearranging and figuring out a plan B for both the Rehearsal Dinner and the Afterparty; both of which turned out great despite the torrential downpour! The one thing to be mindful of is that there really is no service whatsoever, so just prepare in advance. That was a challenge as people were getting into town (only because we didn’t prepare for it!), but after everyone was on-site, it honestly created such a special, intimate, secluded atmosphere for all of us throughout the weekend! It ended up being a great escape and provided the unique experience to unplug, to use a landline, and to walk to a friend's cabin instead of picking up a phone and texting; to truly be present and in community with those you love and care about the most, and I wouldn’t trade that for the world. Words can't express how thankful we are that we found Fontana Village. It went above and beyond what we could have expected, and truly made the most perfect wedding we will treasure forever.

Our family was able to travel up and rent the cabins and hotels for the weekend which was nice to all be together for the entire stay! It was so nice not having to worry about setting up and cleaning up beside the center pieces and a few extras I brought along for decorations ( you honestly don’t need much though). The bridal suite was beautiful and such a nice touch to have that space to get ready! It was very affordable and blew my expectations out of the water!

We kept decorations simple to keep cost down, and just let the beauty of Fontana Dam speak for itself. If I could point to one downside, it's that the venue is located in a small town, so you are a little limited on vendors, and you have to go through Fontana Dam for catering and alcohol. However, the catering was very reasonably priced, and quite delicious. We got a lot of compliments from guests on the food. Things went remarkably smooth overall, but when small problems did arise, Tabitha and the venue were very helpful and responsive. The best part is this venue was roughly half the cost of similar venues we were looking at. I would highly recommend Fontana Dam for any couple looking for a rustic/woodsy wedding in a beautiful location.

free! Tammy worked with Tabitha to set up the ceremony and reception site and they did it exactly how I wanted it. All I had to do was give them pictures of what I wanted and they brought it to life. Not to mention, they completely disassembled and cleaned everything for me so that I could focus on spending time with my new husband and our families. Also, to this day I still can’t believe how affordable our fairytale was! I 100% would recommend this venue to everyone!

Every bride says "expect at least one thing to go wrong on your wedding day", but Tabitha honestly made the day flawless. The food was so delicious, the views were perfect, and we will cherish our wedding day forever. You will seriously enjoy every second of your wedding if you choose Fontana Village!

The catering/food and beverage team was flexible with my menu requests, hosted us for a tasting and went above and beyond with food service at our reception. The front desk staff was not quite as helpful when my guests were reserving rooms for the weekend, but the wedding planner had me forward all calls through her to remedy that problem. Fontana village isbeautiful, the ceremony site is gorgeous. We did a first look at the boat ramp for the river, it was stunning. Could not recommend Tabitha and her crew enough.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to celebrate the happiest day of our lives at this venue! Highly recommend.

Tabitha was very responsive and quick at getting back to me during the entire planning process, staying friendly and super helpful despite the absurd amount of questions between my mother and I. During the weekend, Dena and Chuck were there for absolutely anything and everything we needed even before we knew it! Even the slightest request, they went above and beyond to make the wedding everything we could have dreamed of. The resort was perfect and great for all of our family and friends to come into town and stay at the venue. They made the whole process seamless and easy for us, despite all the bumps in the road. I could not have pictured it any better and will remember the Fontana Village Resort for the rest of my life. I definitely recommend having your wedding or any other event here!!!

As the power went out in our cabins due to weather, Tabitha and all the staff made sure we had rooms and everything we needed to make sure the day went smoothly. Once it all cleared up, some staff even went out to wipe all of our chairs down. I would recommend any of their venues for a ceremony, but the lookout near the pavilion was gorgeous and took everyone's breath away. Everything was perfect from staff, to the venues, to the food-everything. We are so glad we chose Fontana Village for our special day!!

y detail-oriented. Between me, my mom, and my mother in law, she probably received five emails a day about my wedding - and she still was always super positive, thorough, and prompt in responding. I planned everything from halfway across the country, so this was a HUGE benefit. The Village itself was wonderful. The food is delicious (we did a barbecue buffet with some upgraded sides to go with the Smoky Mountain theme), and the main event hall was the perfect place for our celebration. I loved that you rent the whole building, so the separate bar area, bridal room, and game room area all included for a very reasonable price. Try to visit in the early evening so you can see how great the lighting is around dinner time. On top of all that - our friends and family loved staying a few extra days at Fontana for a mini vacation. We have lots of kids in the family, and all the amenities were perfect for a family-friendly stay. Thank you for everything, Fontana Village!!

ence. At first I thought it was going to be a major problem, but after talking to Tabitha Henry, the wedding coordinator, I knew it was not. She is the sweetest most professional person I have dealt with. We mostly communicated through email because that's what worked for us but if I called she always answered. Any questions I had easy, hard, or ones that I had already asked a million times were answered quickly and throughly. Tabitha is amazing to say the least. I made one trip to Fontana dam to do my food tasting. I choose to go with the backyard BBQ. They have many options though. Again no disappointment here. I took my grandma, mother-in-law, and aunt with me and we all were very pleased. To be honest with this venue, the food is what you're basically paying for. Most venues have an outrageous price for their venue and then you have to still have to pay for a caterer. With this venue, I paid 600 for the events hall and like a hundred something for chairs at my ceremony and a little over 2000 for food. That may seem like a lot but considering quality, taste, and the pricing of everything else it's really reasonable. Lodging was simple and convenient. All rooms and cabins are on the property and easily accessible. The day of my wedding was somewhat flawless. There was an unscheduled power outage for about 2 hours the day of but luckily it didn't affect anything. Staff handled it professionally and as best they could. I was kept updated at all times. I was able to decorate the night before and clean up the morning after. I do not know his last name but Jesse is also amazing. I cannot brag on him enough. He was my right hand man the day before and day of the wedding. I cannot remember anything I asked for and did not get. Overall, I cannot brag enough. I was and am very much so still very impressed with this venue as a whole. The location is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the staff are reliable and very easy going. If you choose this venue you will not regret it.

We held our Ceremony at the Fontana Dam, which Tabitha helped coordinate the chairs to be placed for us. There is nothing we can complain about. Our guests and us enjoyed our stay as well. I would recommend this gorgeous classy outdoorsy wedding venue to everybody!

The wedding coordinator, Tabitha Henry, was incredibly accommodating and helpful from beginning to end. She and her staff did absolutely everything they could to make sure our big day was perfect. Our ceremony at the overlook was absolutely beautiful and the reception at the event hall was the most fun I've ever had. Even getting ready was a blast - the bridal suite is so pretty and great for pictures! Our guests had nothing but great things to say afterward. We all wish we could have stayed longer. Everyone has been talking about coming back again next year for family vacations! Fontana Village Resort is a truly awesome wedding venue. Chris with Food/Beverage,,,he set our reception up in the Carolina Room and I could n't have dreamed of anything more perfect!!!!! Everyone one of our guests complimented the food and how wonderful everything tasted!!!! Marie Rogers was a dream, she arranged all of our guests reservations, she made sure they has their cabins or lodge rooms ready for their arrival and everything was perfect for them as well!! Wesley and I didnt have to worry one minute about any of the details, they handled it all perfectly!!! We had the wedding of our dreams there in Fontana Village...I highly recommend this fabulous fairy tale wonderland!!!!!

We were going to pursue an alternative venue. So we canceled the wedding at Fontana Village. But I still had my heart set on that gorgeous view at the dam. Later I contacted Tabitha and the date was still available. I told her my latest plan and she suggested a smaller room for the reception. She is extremely accommodating. I loved the new plan and I booked our wedding with her. My husband and I just recently got married and I couldn't have asked for a better more beautiful wedding. Everything was perfect, from the wedding coordinator to the chef and friendly staff. Everyone was friendly and willing to help with anything you might need. They were very patient and professional and the food was excellent. All of our guest are still boasting about the beauty of the ceremony and reception and how wonderful everything and everyone was. I would highly recommend Fontana Village and Tabitha Henry for all your wedding planning!!!!

and huge, stone fireplace. It was gorgeous! We also had our reception here. 12 of us, in all, and we ate and ate and ate, and still didn't put a dent in the food. We did an Italian Buffet. I am not a veggie person, but the veggie lasagna was to die for. The chicken parmesan was, too. The service (bartender Ashley was also our server) was spot on. We never lacked for anything. If you're a small group, ask if you can use the Bear's Den (the bar area) for your party. It is beautiful. The view of the mountains is just breath-taking. We reserved a block of rooms, and the reservations went smoothly. At about a month to go, they had to change our room type, as the type we had stayed in previously was having plumbing issues. They upgraded us to a 2 bedroom cabin. It was amazing! Fireplace, huge jacuzzi tub, and so private. It was lovely. The wedding planner there, Tabitha, is great. She will find a way to make whatever you want happen! She even helped me play Secret Santa and place a gift bag in each guests' room. She answers emails super fast, and just makes sure everything is perfect. This really is a one-stop-shopping place to get married/have your vows renewed. I can't say enough wonderful things about it.

All of our guests told us that it was one of the best weddings they had attended and that the location was incredibly beautiful. Tabitha, the events coordinator at Fontana is extremely responsive and quick (within 24 hours usually) at getting back to you with e-mails. I would recommend Fontana Village Resort to anyone who wants to get married in the beautiful Smoky Mountains! I cannot say enough positive things about this venue and caterer.

I simply cannot say enough about their professionalism, hospitality, and efficiency. The food was absolutely incredible. The differing venues that Fontana can offer is vast and would be beautiful for any setting. We held our rehearsal dinner cocktails at the lobby's back porch (gorgeous views), our rehearsal dinner was in one of the rooms at the main lodge, our ceremony was by the fire pit (which we rented all the cabins surrounding the area so folks could literally step outside and watch), and our 140+ person reception was at the Rec hall. Many of our guests stayed the entire weekend and enjoyed the hikes and lazy river, along with the many other recreational activities offered. Having grown up visiting 'The Village' every summer, it was a thrill to be able to share that special place with all of our friends and family. Fontana gained new fans that weekend, and many of our guests have been back on their own (a true testament). I would recommend Fontana in a heartbeat to any future bride!

Though the property could still use some maintenance, it has drastically improved over the years. With updated lodging and facilities, gorgeous vistas, and wonderful catering manager and staff, it was an easy choice for our mountain-chic wedding weekend. We had an absolutely amazing wedding weekend, much due to Fontana's highly professional and efficient staff. They didn't miss a single detail.
