We are so grateful to Food Art, Inc. for making our daughter's wedding so perfect! Their hard work and talent made it both beautiful and memorable. Their expertise and coordination were a godsend.
The venue never looked so exquisite. The flowers were stunning! The food was mouth-watering; people were raving about it all night, and some still are. The wedding ceremony coordinator was such a huge help! The transition from the ceremony to the cocktail hour on the patio was seamless. And managing to flip the space from ceremony to reception so quickly was impressive. We really appreciated their flexibility working around the photography.
They went many extra miles for us, and we are so grateful. Our daughter had her dream wedding because of them, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
In December 2018, we hired Food Art for a small wedding of 60 guests. We were very satisfied with the attentiveness of their staff, Amy. She was always immediately available for questions and concerns that we may have had. The display of the food was very much what we wanted and it accented our rustic theme of the rest of the decor. I gave the rating of 3 stars because of the amount of food which was provided for the price that we paid. Even though in the total price it included the rentals of the table and chairs and staff, we feel it was grossly over priced. I would also like to mention the bottle beer served had rust on the caps of over 50% of the ones served. In hind sight I’ve would have chosen one of the other caters we were looking at - Palate, LaBella, Pigeon

After a few bumps in the road, all is good and Food Art's professionalism stands out! They have a multitude of food options, all of which are good.
I couldn’t be happier with Food Art, who catered my wedding reception two weeks ago. The food was wonderful! But perhaps most importantly, Amy was wonderful to work with. We planned it from Indiana, and her help and attentiveness was outstanding. I would highly recommend!!
I couldn't be happier in my decision to use Food Art for our wedding. They provided all the food as well as some planning and a day of coordinator. The entire process went so smoothly and Stephanie was great to work with. She is very organized and was always so helpful -- and I'd say I was a little annoying and asked alot of questions. Still getting compliments on the food. Bottom line: they rock and you should book them!
Where do we start? Everything was perfect! Food Art, Inc. offered excellent food selections and the freedom to choose exactly what you want for your event. We had more than enough offerings for all of our guests, and, of course, had plenty of leftovers.
The service was timely, organized, and so, so accommodating. They made sure to make plates for bride and groom, as well as cutting the cake for us. We didn't have to worry about a thing on our special day.
I wish I could give Stephanie and her team 10 stars. Stephanie is one of the most phenomenal vendors I have ever worked with. She was always available and responded RIGHT away to all of our questions. On top of that- and perhaps most importantly :) - the food was AMAZING. I was an out of town bride and our friends and family have not stopped talking about how delicious and beautiful the food was. It was absolutely perfect for our wedding. Stephanie, Thank you so so much. - Abby & Deb (Mom)
Absolutely fantastic! From our private tasting to the night of the wedding, Stephanie and her crew were great. Answered all our questions and worries, worked with us on the menu and provided a fantastic meal for our guests that impressed.
The food was delicious, the presentations just as I wished and the service just superb!!
The food received rave reviews from everyone and a few of those people were confirmed foodies. The menu was a wonderful representation of New Orleans specialties and according to those who were residents of the city, the best gumbo etc. they had ever had in the city. This was exactly the menu I wanted and I simply could not have been more pleased.
Stephanie was a wonderful person to work with as we planned the menu and she guided us as we selected rental items to use with the catering. Food Art is very flexible and let us bring in our own alcohol and rental items. Additionally, Stephanie was so thoughtful and organized in all her correspondence with my mother and me.
And again, the food!!!!
The food provided by food art was delicious, which is obviously the most important thing. Guests spoke about it all weekend, even while eating at the most popular restaurants in New Orleans. Food Art's service and professionalism were equally pleasing. Our servers were amazing and thoughtful. The bartender even saved me the last little bit of champagne of the night, and came to find me to fill my glass. They were perfect. They flipped our venue while we were away on a second line and we came back to a perfect reception, despite our trip being shorter than we had planned. Loved them and highly recommend them.
Everyone loved the food! The best part was that they took care of all the food and I can honestly say I didn't even notice they were there. Everything just seemed to run seamlessly and I didn't have any questions for them. They just took care of it. We included in the contract their setting up and taking down tables and chairs, as the venue did not do that. But they were fantastic and were very familiar with the venue! The food was great also!
My husband and I planned our New Orleans wedding from afar, and we could not have done it without Food Art. Stephanie Aubrey, Food Art's Sales Manager, was an incredibly helpful resource from the beginning through the end. She promptly responded to emails with questions large and small, and stayed on top of updating our catering and floral contracts as we made numerous changes throughout the planning process. She was not only a great communicator, but incredibly friendly and a pleasure to work with. We had such a great experience during the planning process, we asked Stephanie to help coordinate our wedding. She agreed, and did such a great job. I don't have the adjectives to describe how perfectly and smoothly everything went, and how happy we were with our ceremony, second line, and reception. We had a friend design a few specialty cocktails, and Stephanie made sure her bartending staff was available for a quick tutorial prior to the reception. She put together a diverse and delicious menu. She worked with a florist that designed flower arrangements exactly as I'd described wanting them. And the day-of coordinator she brought on board to work with us was the perfect mix of no-nonsense and personable. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I will have wonderful, fond memories of my wedding for life, and Food Art gets a huge amount of the credit for that.
Originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, my husband and I recently moved into the area by way of Oregon for work and loved New Orleans so much that we decided to have our wedding here. All the typical stress that comes from planning a wedding was with me everyday, not to mention our nearest family members were 13hrs away and we had no familiarity with the area, local vendors, etc. We wanted thoughtful ingredients and display, and traditional New Orleans fair that wasn't a backyard BBQ or crawfish boil. So something elevated but no pretentious. Food Art Inc was able to provide that and more. I wasn't just another customer. They asked about my story, my family, and invested their energies and support in me even before we made a down payment. I probably sent 100 emails back and forth over budget, numbers, questions, and food options and they never seemed put out or exhausted with me, even if the actually were. :) The customer service was out of this world. and the FOOD IS TO DIE FOR! Our guests were thrilled to get the real NOLA experience. I couldn't have been happier and I encourage everyone to check out the amazing selection they have over there. You WON'T be disappointed.
EVERYONE raved about how good the food was at our wedding. we wanted some special things and they were quick to accommodate. Only issue we had with them was a credit card processing charge that would have added hundreds to our total. So must be cash or check. Also, we ordered oysters and the shucker didn't disconnect the final muscle once opened so guests had to do that themselves. Wasn't a big deal just mention it if you want oysters. :)
Food Art was amazing to work with for our wedding. We had an entirely vegetarian dinner for our guests and Food Art knocked it out of the park. Our friends and family are still talking about how delicious everything was and the presentation was just beautiful.
I am so happy we chose Food Art for our caterer. After doing a tasting with 4 other caterers we chose Food Art because of their exceptional quality, flexibility and value. We worked with Stephanie to create our dream menu and she was so accommodating with making substitutions for things we really wanted while keeping within our budget. Compared to the other New Orleans caterers we looked at, we got so much more food and variation, including a grilled oyster station, two other chef stations with made to order food, passed desserts and late night snacks. Plus our guests all said this was the best food they have had at a wedding and even said it was better than food they ate in some top New Orleans restaurants. The chefs and waiters were also really friendly, professional and looked after our guests, especially mindful that our older guests were getting enough to eat. Really a pleasure to work with and totally worth every penny.
Food Art Inc. was my life saver for my destination wedding. They designed a menu to my liking, took care of the rentals, set up,and decorating and clean up. I had my wedding at a venue where they needed to flip the space from ceremony to reception in less than 30 minutes, and they executed it perfectly. The food was delicious, and the food tables were decorated beautifully. They were able to also accommodate my guests special dietary needs. The staff was so professional, but fun and incredibly nice. Food Art is more than a caterer, but a full service wedding coordinating service for a great price. I highly recommend, especially if you are having a destination wedding at a venue that does not have on-site catering.
Positives: We had wonderful feedback from our guests about how delicious all of the food was from Food Art! The process was quite pleasant throughout, and we had a wonderful tasting event at their facility before we picked our menu which was a tremendous help. The majority of the staff were very friendly and professional and delivery of food went flawlessly. I had several guests go out of their way to let me know how terrific one of the bartenders was.
Negatives: We did choose to have bottled water in addition to tap water available at the reception at the last minute and I was quite shocked at the pricing for the bottled water ($2/bottle). The bar ran out of water, beer, and whiskey towards the end of the reception (water ran out first) which was a bit upsetting to hear from guests afterwards. Also, a couple of the wait staff were disinterested/rude enough to result in several guests letting me know they had an issue.
Overall we had a very positive experience with Food Art and I would definitely recommend them!
The guests have not stopped raving about the food! Everyone from the foodies to the nutrition-minded folks. The food was displayed beautifully and it was delicious too! I especially appreciated the special attention they made to ensure guests with dietary restrictions knew which food had what in it and were able to enjoy the food too! Stephanie Aubry was also very patient and flexible with my ever changing catering and equipment needs... and answered frantic phone calls about the weather predictions (it turned out to be a perfect day)!
I booked my caterer quite far out and was impressed by the level of professionalism and familiarity with my reception event.
I was disappointed in the level of customer service. A month before the event, I met with the chef (the planner was on medical leave) and discussed the details of my event. After our meeting, I had some specific follow-up questions that were put off about 3 weeks because her event planner was expected to return soon. The planner returned to the office about 2 weeks before my event, rushing to pull my event together.
I was dissatisfied because the company never greeted me on my wedding day, failed to provide the meal for the wedding party in a private location as requested, and still hasn't followed up (3 weeks after the event).
In New Orleans, a place know for its food, good food is actually easy to find. Now I know to look harder for good customer service. I would not recommend to a friend.
Food Inc was amazing! I wanted a totally out of the box dinner experience and they made it work beautifully. The team was respectful and professional. They were like ghosts because they were in, worked their magic, and were out without a trace;). I had everything that I wanted and everything was cleaned up and I really never noticed it all happening. I would suggest them to anyone who feels like the package deal is not for them. They have a can do attitude that cannot be beat!
