One of our most favorite things about our Wedding was the FOOD! Food for the Soul was just incredibly amazing. They have the best team and will deliver the best service on your special day! I was so impressed by their professionalism. Everyone was raving about the food that was served! The one thing I could not forget was just how delicious the poke was! Me and my now husband are both born and raised on Maui, so trust us when we say that we know what good poke is. And the poke that was served was so so good! I'm still thinking about it! Everything was delicious! The staff was also super kind and friendly. After we were done taking sunset photos, they already had plates prepared for us to enjoy! I'm so happy we chose them to cater for our wedding. I can't express just how much we enjoyed having them be a part of our day! I'll be recommending them to everyone we know on Maui!

We chose Tina and Rob for both wedding planning and catering. Tina was amazing to work with and made the whole process extremely easy and stress free! We planned our entire wedding while being overseas and Tina made our vision and wedding dreams come true without meeting until the day before. All our guests kept saying how impressed they were with everything and how it was the best wedding food they have ever had! I couldn’t recommend the both of them enough.

Tina and Rob were absolutely wonderful to work with. Tina helped plan our wedding through COVID and she never missed a beat. I don't know what we would have done without her. She made the entire process seamless and our wedding day so so wonderful. Rob is an excellent caterer and a year later (apologies for the untimely review) our guests still talk about the food. Their staff were professional, kind, and so fun to have around the day of. We couldn't believe how well they took care of us all.

Tina and Rob helped us plan and cater our wedding. We want to first start by saying that they are some of our favorite people - they are kind, generous, and awesome at what they do! We got married on August 22nd, the day before Hurricane Lane was supposed to smash into the island. We were so thankful to have Tina and team to help us navigate through the storm. We were pretty confident that we’d be able to have our wedding on the day we had planned, but we were unsure about what it would look like. We were expecting some rain, but due to forecasted high winds, we were unable to have a tent. Tina didn’t miss a beat in coming up with contingency plans and mapping out multiple scenarios including the worst-case scenario for us, which was so helpful. On the day of the wedding, we got lucky – the weather held, we were able to have the ceremony outside, and we didn’t get a raindrop until we were leaving! It was magic! Tina was a force of calm during the planning process, which we really appreciated. She was prepared, organized, and she always answered our obscure questions with grace (we’re both data people, so details are everything for us). We are a “less is more” kind of couple and wanted our wedding to be understated and low-key, which isn’t always synonymous with a wedding. We talked to a few other planners and ultimately felt like they had a grand vision that didn’t jive with our laid-back vision. When we found Tina, she was a breath of fresh air! She listened and help guide us as we made each decision. In between planning calls, she was always available for questions as they came up, but there wasn’t much that we thought of between calls because she is so thorough. We also had Rob and his team cater. Rob’s culinary skills are amazing!! Everything we had was DELICIOUS and cooked to perfection! You can’t ask for a better caterer for a wedding!

Amazing food! Everyone loved it. The dinner, the cake/cupcakes. It was a total success. I highly recommend Food for the Soul.

Ok, this was literally the best steak I've ever had, and I've had Kobe Beef in Kyoto, Japan. The food was delicious!! The apps were huge! Scallops wrapped in bacon, coconut shrimp... This food was not tiny. Well worth the price, so glad we chose them! Staff was so friendly and delightful. Be sure to have the molokai sweet potato. We also ordered our cake from them, the decor wasn't what we asked for, but we worked directly with my coordinator, so I'm not sure where the ball was dropped. It was sooo delicious, and that's what really matters. The owner's were a pleasure to work with as well. I wish they had a restaurant because it was the best food we had in Hawaii! 5-16-18 Olowalu Plantation House.

My husband and I enjoyed every minute of working with Tina. Not only did she cater our wedding (our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was!), she planned it for us, too! Throughout the planning process, Tina listened to our vision and picked the BEST vendors that fit our budget and personality. She helped us calm our parents (and us) down in stressful moments, and she made our big day as smooth as possible. I highly recommended Tina to cater and plan the day of your dreams!!

Planning a wedding 2,500 miles away is not an easy task. FFTS & Events was such a blessing for us. We were way in over our heads trying to plan our wedding by ourselves and Tina was our guardian angel. Not being able to go to venues, taste food, or even meet vendors was hard enough and Tina made us feel at ease with every decision we made. She provided us with everything we could have ever needed and MORE! Even when it came down to the last minute and needing to order a tent two days before our wedding (which I wasn’t too happy about but she totally made me feel comfortable and it ended up being the best thing that day). Tina was very attentive and truly cared about US. She was our ROCK the day of and made sure everything was perfect. I would hire FFTS & Tina again in a heart beat. Oh, and the FOOD, AMAZING!! We're still (3 weeks later) hearing from our guest about how much they enjoyed the food and how tasty it was. Like they're craving it still. haha Don't hesitate for one more second on hiring this amazing team, they truly are amazing and care about what YOU want. :) They make your dreams become reality. I can't say it enough about them.

Obviously planning a wedding from a different state can be a bit stressful but Tina made it a breeze. The way she broke it down made the whole experience so manageable and not stressful at all. She really knows what she is doing. When we finally got to meet her it was so lovely. She has this amazing energy that makes it so great to be around her. I felt so comfortable with her and was so happy she was there for us the day of our wedding. She kept everything so organized and I didn’t have to stress about anything. Even when the weather was looking iffy her attitude was great and it made me not worry about it. Then there is the food. Oh my goodness that food was amazing. Rob did a killer job and everyone was talking about how delicious it was. I could not recommend them enough. I would give them all the stars if I could because 5 does not seem like enough. Thanks again for all your hard work Tina. It was so appreciated and you made my wedding day magical.

Food for the Soul catered our destination wedding in Maui. We corresponded to them through our wedding planner, but had no problems with food requests. We wanted a dinner party for our wedding, and Food for the Soul was able to recommend and plan several courses (6!), as well as beer and wine pairings, and provide the servers and bar/bartenders. First of all, the bartender was fantastic and served our wine/beer pairings with each course. The servers obviously loved their jobs (I’ve never seen so many smiles and happy faces) and were excellent. They even set aside appetizers for me and my husband to enjoy later, as we were taking pictures during cocktails. Finally, the food was the best food I’ve ever had in my life. The portions were generous, and each course was better than the last. I’m still getting compliments on the meal several months later! The chef came out to introduce each course, which was a nice touch. We’d hire them again in a heartbeat, and can’t recommend them enough.

Although we were unable to have FFTS for our wedding, I wanted to commend Tina and her customer service. She was GREAT to work with! She worked with me to stay within budget, offered advice on what was important and what wasn't necessary. She went above and beyond our expectations as a caterer and if the stars aligned, we would have booked FFTS in a heartbeat. You can feel their passion for food, and detail, and the amount of effort that they put in to each event. Impeccable!

Tina is a true ANGEL when it comes to wedding planing for a destination wedding! I had nothing but frustration when I first started to plan my wedding. The Resorts were not interested on giving us the sites we like because of having a small party (under 30 guests). I was also trying to book over a year in advance, the resorts and another wedding planning company I was talking with were either rude and unfriendly to work with. I decided I could start from scratch. One day and started looking up catering without having a planner or a site to hold the wedding. My now Husband and I were so impress with the menus for FFTS I reached out and found Tina. Telling her my situation she informed me that she also does wedding planning and her Husband Rob does the catering part of the company. We were ecstatic to hear that and started working with FFTS on sites and venues. Tina is truly filled with the Aloha spirit! She made all our wedding dreams come true. Our guest all 15 of them went on and on about how beautiful and perfect this wedding was. Many said it was the best wedding they have ever been too. All thanks to Tina who was a blessing from the Lord .

Tina was our wedding planner and Food For the Soul catered our wedding at Olowalu Plantation House -- we are located in San Francisco. Both Tina, Rob, and the whole team did an OUTSTANDING job. The food truly speaks for itself with the freshest ingredients that are properly seasoned and cooked -- not over-sauced or seasoned which is what we found in most of our tastings. We had both seafood and beef and the steak was perfectly medium-rare upon our request, poke and prawns were fresh, and our whole roasted suckling pig was eye-catching with crispy skin and juicy meat -- not an easy task for 100+ guests! The food was important to us and FFTS delivered! As a planner, Tina is pro-active, flexible, patient, professional, and genuine. If your wedding planner is your most important vendor, as it was for us, there is no better choice than Tina. Her service level and availability was exceptional from our first interaction to the wedding. We had special requests for decor, dessert, and several other areas that Tina not only addressed with patience and an open mind but she was able to find items, sometimes from around the world, and convince other vendors to accommodate our requests just to bring our vision to life. A wedding is one of the biggest days in someone's life and working with Tina was one of the best decisions we made not just because she is great at what she does but also because she is a genuinely kind and likeable person.

We used Food For The Soul as our caterer and Tina was also our wedding coordinator and we are VERY happy with the level of service FFTS provided. From the first time we inquired about using her services Tina was so responsive, kind, patient and sweet in answering all of our questions. Immediately she made us feel comfortable, informed and confident that we could count on her to help us plan our destination wedding.  We consider ourselves very detail-oriented, so throughout the 9+ month long relationship we had with Tina during the planning process, we were continually pleased at her level of detail and we were able to count on her to deliver. She provided solid advice on vendors (booked some for us in a very timely manner) and held multiple update calls with us to keep us on track in our planning. One of the most helpful services that Tina provided was we were able to mail packages to her for pickup once we were on island. This helped tremendously as we do not live in Maui, and we were able to minimize the decorations/items for guests that we had to take on the plane. Throughout the planning stages, Tina helped make the daunting process of wedding planning much more manageable by providing to-dos and action items to keep us on track.  Once on-island the week before our wedding we were thrown a pretty large weather curve ball. The forecast was looking very grim for our outdoor wedding, and by the time we met with Tina she had already secured a rental tent for us, had the layout of our reception rearranged and, most importantly, made us feel very at ease about the entire (very stressful) situation. Without Tina's foresight, bias for action, and professionalism we would not have been prepared and would have had many unhappy and wet guests! THANK YOU TINA!!! Lastly, I cannot say enough about FFTS Catering and Tina's day-of coordination. Tina had the right balance of time management to let the bride/groom/family have our personal time and special moments, but still kept us on track for time. Her bubbly and friendly demeanor helped make our wedding party and family feel at ease, and provided such a personal experience -she even helped the bride put on her veil!  We received many compliments from our guests on both the appetizers and the main course, as well as the friendliness of the wait staff. From the setup to the food to the timing/management of the whole group and coordination with our vendors, she provided A+ service all around. Our ceremony started right on time and was EXACTLY how we imagined it. Tina and her team brought our vision to life, and made it even better than we had imagined. And I can't say enough about how amazing our reception was. We felt like we could enjoy the evening and trust Tina and her staff to work seamlessly in the background to make sure our plans were executed. We are so happy and thankful that we chose to use FFTS. Tina and her team provided an amazing service that helped to make our big day memorable. Thank you so much, Tina!

Usually wedding food is not very impressive, but that was not the case with these guys! The appetizers, baked brie station and main meals were all AMAZING! Definitely consider them for your event

I truly can't put into words how amazing Tina and her team was at Food for the Soul. They truly went about and above to help us plan a destination wedding to be effortless. The food, service, and staff was AMAZING! We would highly recommend them over and over again! If you are looking for a planner who TRULY pays attention to details- you will not regret working with Tina. She had our wedding down to the seconds! What we really appreciate most about working with Tina was that she was always respectable to our wedding budget as well as letting us know when we could cut corners and when we really needed certain things to help make sure everything was flawless. Look no further, you have found your event caterer for your Maui event! Tina worked with me from San Francisco to plan our reception dinner buffet for 45 in Kihei, and she did a phenomenal job! The team (Rob & Koa) showed up right on time and whipped through cooking all of the tasty dishes we ordered. Everyone remarked on how professional, quick and awesome the chefs were, and as a bride, I was utterly thrilled by how quick on the draw they were. I barely knew they were there, that's how little direction they needed. Tina had worked with me on the menu to help me come up with a decent amount of food for our guests, plus a little extra for the big eaters. She was right on the money. Everyone had plenty to eat, and at the end there was hardly any leftover food. That's serious event planning skills right there! The food was incredibly delicious, and pretty much every person at the wedding pulled me aside to exclaim how impressed they were. I wish we all lived on the island so we could throw more parties for Food for the Soul to cater: they were amazingly efficient, very reasonably priced, and completely delectable to eat! PS: You need to try their cupcakes, if you love a truly fabulous buttercream and a delightfully flavorful and fluffy cake, you will eat five of your own wedding/birthday/event cupcakes like I did. :)

We used Food For The Soul to plan and cater our wedding day and they were amazing. Tina was everything you could ask for in a wedding coordinator. She was 100% transparent about prices, gave us great recommendations, and was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Because of her, we were able to enjoy our day stress free! Being an international wedding photographer for over 12 years and now a bride, needless to say I was extremely picky when it came to choosing vendors for our wedding. Tina and Rob with Food For The Soul totally delivered! Planning our wedding from L.A. and moving to a new home 2.5 weeks before our destination wedding would have been a complete nightmare without them! Tina went way beyond the call of duty to make sure everything little detail was perfect! We had an absolutely AMAZING time! I get to see all my couples weeks after their wedding and everyone of them have always had things they wish they had done differently. We don't. And that's all because of Tina and Rob. We had an incredible and beautiful wedding in February thanks to Tina and Food For The Soul! We decided on a destination wedding with three months to plan. We simply cannot describe how happy we are with our experience with Food for The Soul. We worked with Tina for about a year leading up to our wedding day - we didn't have strong opinions about what we wanted specifically, so Tina went through the pros and cons of various scenarios and recommendations on vendors that she thought would work well for us. I must mention that we interviewed many coordinators and Tina's honesty and transparency is what made us choose Food for the Soul. It's hard to visualize how the day will unfold - but we were blown away and after arriving to the site (Olowalu) and seeing how Tina had control of everything, we were actually able to relax and enjoy the day. Rob and his team cooked the most amazing meal. Over 1/3 of our guests commented that the dinner was the best they had ever eaten! Highly recommend the Filet Mignon and Macadmia Nut Mahi Mahi. All the Food for the Soul staff took excellent care of us and pay special attention to the Bride and Groom, our families, and our elderly guests. Tina and Rob are all you need for your wedding! From day one, Tina was incredibly helpful, informative, and genuine. And our tasting with Rob was perfect and we knew their menu was a perfect fit for our day. They are very flexible and come up with lots of great options to meet your needs. Their prices are very reasonable and they both made sure we were sticking to our budget. They truly care about you and your day. Our guests were very happy with the quality and quantity of food served. Everyone was full and happy! Over the past year and a half, we were able to establish a strong working an personal relationship which was so important to my partner and I. It was easy to communicate with Tina and she was very communicative, easy to talk to, and gave us honest and real expectations to help us in decision making. I am so happy that Tina was a part of our day and that Rob was our caterer! You really don't need to look any further for a caterer/coordinator, Rob and Tina and THE BEST!!!

Food for the Soul Maui was the best decision we could have made! The whole team was incredibly talented and attentive. When we couldn't find the perfect menu, they created one for us! The food was delicious!!!! I can't say enough how wonderful every single person on their staff was! We also used Tina with Food For the Soul as our wedding planner. She was beyond amazing. I visited Maui a year before the wedding and she went out of her way to set up a tasting, bring florists to me to interview, and then spent several mornings taking my mom and I to venues and sharing all of their knowledge with us! I then spent a year planning over the phone with Tina and by the end it felt like I planned a huge party with my friend! At the event, they were so incredibly attentive and on top of EVERYTHING! When small a couple of small snafus happened (nothing on their end), they did everything in their power to fix it, and they did! They were even wonderful with follow up!! If you are planning to get married on Maui, Food for the Soul is the best! Don't look anywhere else!!!

Oh my goodness!! I don't even know where to start with this fabulous group of people! We had our destination wedding in Maui, Hawaii and used Food For The Soul for our wedding planner and caterer. We had previously met Tina, Rob, and the whole crew a year before at our close friends wedding and knew the moment we got engaged who we wanted to work with for our special day. It's a little harder to plan a wedding 3,000 miles away and to trust someone with all the details....but Tina made it SO, SO easy!! She is very friendly, professional, down to earth, and knows what she is doing! She helped me decide every last detail. From the colors of napkins, to the fire dance performance, to transportation for our guests. I never had to worry about a thing. The food is absolutely AMAZING! Our guests still talk about how awesome it was and my mom is still dying to re create the gorgonzola and bacon wrapped dates....so yummy!!! Seriously, if you are looking for the best, you've found it!!

Words cannot describe how amazed I was with them!!!! AMAZING!!!! If your planner doesn't allow you to pick a catering company, you need to find a new planner because these guys are the absolute BEST. We didn't do any taste testings before, and the food was to die for! Tina and Susanne were the sweetest to work with, and they paid attention and made note of all the decor styles I was going for, and everything surpassed what I had imagined. They set up all the tables and chairs, linens, everything. We chose to do a buffet with 2 entrees - prime rib and mahi mahi, absolutely delicious!!! They also do full service wedding coordinating - I didn't use them for that but with the way they worked with me, I'm absolutely sure they would be awesome for that as well. Lindsey & Adam

Our destination wedding was definitely the best day of our lives thanks to Tina and the team at Food for the Soul catering! Tina and her husband-chef Rob are the owners of Food for the Soul, and what an amazing team they are along with their staff. We wanted to have a memorable wedding reception and Food for the Soul made that happen! They are an all-round company providing catering and bar tending services, and coordination services with rentals, vendor recommendations etc. I contacted FFTS after taking a look at the delicious menu on their website and after reading numerous positive reviews on various wedding websites including Yelp. We went with their Island Buffet menu as we wanted our guests to experience the Aloha flavor and spirit. Being foodies ourselves, our guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious the appetizers and all of the courses were! All of the food options can be customized to your liking. They were even able to accommodate a few of my guests who were vegetarian, and cooked them a special entree for them. From day one of planning our wedding day, Tina has guided us throughout the process with her kind and friendly spirit. She would set-up regular phone chats to keep us on track until the big day came. Tina always called us on the dot and never missed a phone chat even with the difference in time zones. She truly cared about us and wanted our wedding day to go as smooth and stress free as possible, this includes watching the island weather reports up until the day of the wedding. Wonderful Experience! My wife and I recently celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary in Kaanapali with a sunset dinner party on the lanai of our rented condo. Food for the Soul helped us plan and execute a very memorable and intimate experience for family and friends. All arrangements were made via email and telephone with Tina and staff with pricing and terms being very transparent (no hidden charges). The food was amazing and was, along with the Maui sunset, the highlight of the evening. Can't wait to plan our 20 year anniversary party in Maui with Food for the Soul handling our food needs! Food for the Soul did such an amazing job, it was really a one-stop-shop for us! Tina helped us plan the day from top to bottom. She is extremely knowledgeable about all the surrounding venues and gave us truly unbiased advice. Once we made the big decisions she helped us get down to the nitty gritty - she nailed down our timeline and helped coordinate any vendors outside of her amazing team. In addition to the catering, FFTS provides all the rentals you may need from lighting to tall-boys, so that made our set-up super easy! Everything looked fantastic on the big day and they made it easy for our florist to get in there and collaborate. The food was such a hit with our guests, it was delicious! It was such a pleasure to work with Tina and the whole team was very gracious. Highly reccommend!

OMG - We loved working with FFTS. The food was ah-mazing! One of our uncle's is a rancher and said his filet was one of the best steak's he has ever had. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We did a food tasting with FFTS prior to going with them and were thoroughly impressed with everything we tried. And we ate A LOT. During the wedding, I never was able to grab any appetizers and was a bit bummed. FFTS left a small tray of appetizers on the table in front of my spot so I could enjoy that portion of the meal (which was so tasty - pineapple beef sliders, coconut shrimp and ahi rolls). This was such a nice touch that the servers didn't have to do, but it just went above and beyond our expectations. We did a plated dinner since our wedding was on the smaller side and served the filet mignon and macadamia nut mahi mahi. We loved working with FFTS and our family is still talking about how amazing the food was!

There were a few elements of our wedding that we weren’t willing to compromise on, the venue and food were two of our highest priorities. We were lucky enough to visit Maui prior to our wedding and complete tastings from a couple different caterers. Food for the Soul far surpassed the others, the tasting was amazing. Rob had a small team that helped with the tasting and we were able to sample a ton of their appetizers, main courses and desserts. We had some hard choices to make because everything was delicious. Leading up to the wedding we had the pleasure of working with Tina on the details of the menu. She was very organized, took all of our feedback and input and provided recommendations based on their extensive experience. They were able to accommodate different changes and requests throughout the planning process, it was comforting to know we had flexibility to adjust based on our guests and preferences. The evening of our wedding their team was more than we could have asked for. They were attentive to every detail, service was impeccable and more importantly the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We were taking photos while appetizers were being served, as soon as we were done Rob personally delivered our plates to us and ensured we had a little sample of everything. Our guests still talk about how good the food was. Tina and Rob are both amazing, extremely organized and very attentive to every detail and element of the food and experience.

Strongly recommend. The appetizers were incredible. The Kalbi short rib and Ahi poke cups are definite must-haves at a wedding. The service was also impeccable. I don't think any of our guests were holding an empty appetizer skewer for more than 5 seconds before staff was there to dispose of it. The entrees were also excellent. Five stars all the way.

I cannot speak highly enough about Food For The Soul! They catered our wedding and the food was AMAZING! Everyone commented on how wonderful the food and service was. My husband said his Filet was the best he has ever had (and the fish was also incredible)! Everything was cooked perfectly and was so fresh. The appetizers were fabulous; we especially loved the coconut shrimp and sliders. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the bartender was great. We also had Food For The Soul help with coordinating our wedding and this was one of the best decisions we ever made. Tina made excellent recommendations but was open to us having as much input as we wanted. It was a great balance. She made sure everything was covered before the wedding and always responded quickly to any questions or concerns that we had. We live overseas and I was a bit nervous about planning a destination wedding, but Tina made it so I could really enjoy the planning process. Tina was so great to work with and on the day, her and Suzanne made sure everything ran smoothly. They were so friendly and made us feel so comfortable. We had an absolutely fantastic time and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I don’t think we would feel the same if we had chosen to go with anyone else. We thank Food For The Soul’s entire team for making our day so wonderful!

Food For The Soul catering was fantastic to work with. My husband and I planned our wedding in Maui from Alaska and the entire process was seamless. Tina was lovely to work with and truly dedicated herself to our event; I cannot say enough to possibly thank her for helping us coordinate our special day. She was kind, professional, thorough, and all of her estimates were transparent (something I value as my husband and I were planning long-distance). Even more impressive is that she handled a torrential downpour on our wedding day and managed to ensure that our reception was still beautiful. All of our guests had a great time. The entire staff is dedicated to quality- not only in terms of the service, but for the food as well. Our custom family-style dinner was a crowd-pleaser and our guests are still talking about how impressed they were! I would recommend Tina and the Food For The Soul team at a moment’s notice and feel blessed to have met them.

We were definitely nervous about not being able to see or taste the food prior to the wedding, but ended up being absolutely blown away by every aspect of working with FFTS. Our guests had so much to say about how delicious everything was, as well as how beautiful the set-up was! We would definitely recommend Tina and FFTS to others.

Food for the Soul was our catering, bar service and Tina was our wedding coordinator. Wow! They were amazing! From the planning 6 months prior to the catering service, amazing food and phenomenal staff. We couldn't have had a better wedding day without all of their services. Tina and the rest of her team are great! They are personal, friendly, and professional. We had to plan our wedding from long-distance because we live in Oregon. My mother-in-laws and I have been communicating with Tina through three-way phone calls and emails throughout the year. Tina has helped us make the long-distance preparation process easy and stress-free. She was very patient, walked us through the processes and timeline from the ceremony to reception dinner, step by step. And the FOOD for our reception dinner and the cocktail-hour appetizers were amazing. It was better than an upscale restaurant food, all of our guests' tummies were very happy! Truly food for the soul. Highly recommend Food for the Soul!

We tried to use FFTS for our wedding next year but did not succeed. This review only reflects our experience in working with them in the planning process. FFTS is not very flexible and they are unwilling to work around our budget (e.g. for the plated sit-down menu, we asked if we could drop the salad, and their response is that they can reduce the price by $2???!!! For your reference, the package price is $70+ including salad, one main course, vegetable and bread). We feel that their biggest interest is to make the max amount of money. And it seems that they don't care about us that much. The worst part is that today we received an email saying they are no longer available for us because another client that already booked and deposited with them changed their wedding date to the same date as ours. If you are a bride trying to customize your reception menu, or just trying to work on a budget, find someone else. Because of all the good reviews on yelp, knot, weddingwire.. FFTS has become so popular that they come off as arrogant and don't care about their clients.

I always dreamed of an amazing Hawaii wedding. When it came time for planning and finding vendors I started researching online. After much research and reviews I came accross FFTS and in particular Tina. What an amazing find this was, not only for our wedding day but for the entire planning process. Tina is so easy to work with, she was always keeping me on track in terms of the planning process, I still say to this day I could not of done the wedding without her. She was very efficent in responding to any emails, and set up frequent phone meetings throughtout the year we were planning. I live in Canada so being able to put the trust in her for all the vendors was a great relief. Tina's realtionships with the vendors brought such great quality to my wedding. She also put together the wedding timeline and kept us all on track the day of. I put all my trust in her and she worked really hard to ensure that our wedding was everything we dreamed of. Tina does not stand alone, her team is also amazing. On my wedding day I watched them all work to put our vision together with such ease and professionalism. Suzanne did such a great job with the decorating touches, I couldn't of been happier. Then there was the special touches. The wedding day goes fast, she organized a intimate table for two for appetizers away from the guests just for the two us to take in the moment. I would never of thought of this and it was such a perfect memory. Tina's expertise goes beyond just the planning. She is also a part of the catering team at FFTS. The food was exceptional. The staff were so professional and friendly. They were very flexible with adapting a menu to suit our desires. Guests raved about the food saying it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten. My wife and I love food so this was a top priority for our wedding day. Its crazy that its all over but I wouldnt change a thing. It was a perfect day and to that I owe a huge Thanks to Tina and her Team! If you are looking for exceptional service, I would recommend Tina and FFTS.

We chose Food For The Soul Maui to cater our 30th Anniversary Vow Renewal based on other reviews we had read. We were not disappointed! They were simply the best! Not only did they cater our event, but Tina and her assistant, Susanne, also served as our event planners. From the first inquiry email through the final stages of planning, they were attentive to every detail! I didn't have to worry about anything! The day ran so smoothly with Tina in charge, and everything turned out great! The food was absolutely delicious and the catering service was excellent! Food For The Soul Maui far exceeded my expectations and I would recommend them to anyone having an event in Maui!

Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful and Food For The Soul definitely had a big part in it! All of the food looked gorgeous and tasted wonderful! Our guests raved about the pork sliders, the Brie, and the coconut shrimp! Also, I heard wonderful things about the rasp ice tea and the tropical juice. ( I forget what the second one was, and sadly I didn't get a chance to try it, but everyone said it was awesome!!) The wedding party missed the majority of the cocktail hour because we were taking pictures, but the servers did save a few for us to try though which I really appreciate! The strawberry salads were delish, my salmon was awesome and my husband said the filet was very good. I loved how the champagne glasses were presented with orchids like I wanted:) The linens were perfect with the hot pink napkins, leaves and wood chargers looked awesome, and bamboo chairs were definitely the way to go! Thank you FFTS for all of your guidance with this! We really appreciated all the attention to detail and how FFTS made our night so special. Mahalo!

AMAZING!!!! Tina, Susanne and the entire Food for the Soul team are amazing! During the beginning stages of planning our destination wedding, we were overwhelmed. However, once we found and started working with Food for the Soul, our worries went away. We had 100% confidence in them at achieving our dream wedding and they completely exceeded our expectations! During the whole process they were very professional and quick to respond with our many questions. They were very attentive to all our needs and details and everything turned out better than what we could have ever imagined. The food was fantastic! We got so many raves about how delicious it was. We even witnessed proof seeing guests go up for seconds and thirds! It has only been 15 days since our wedding but we already miss the entire team! We highly recommend using Food for the Soul...you will not regret it!!!

The food really turned out delicious! Beforehand, FFTS was wonderful to work with and so willing to work with our crazy ideas for food that would meet our global guests expectations. Not only did the food turn out exactly as we had hoped, but the service from the servers/bartenders was stellar! They were attentive while being subtle so as not to interrupt. The attention to make sure we (bride and groom) were taken care of during dinner was also very nice, and much appreciated :) The highlight of the food for everyone was the Crab Legs that were in the seafood display appetizer. Everyone mentioned them, before we even asked them how the food was! I am very pleased with them, and so happy that we chose to work with FFTS.

Planning a wedding is not easy. One thing we do know we did correctly is making the decision of hiring Tina and her crew to do our reception. Hands down this is by far "THE BEST" catering company I have ever worked with. Tina and her crew did not only make sure the dining arrangement was perfect but they also helped put together our centerpiece, sign in table and favors. They were professional, kind, helpful and caring. Days after our wedding, our guest couldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything looked and how perfect the food tasted. Appetizers were served hot, salad tasted perfect with just the right amount of fruits in it and the steak and lobster was hmmm hmmm tasty. What else can you ask for??? My husband and I was satisfied with their service!! We highly recommend Food For the Soul Maui for any event you may have especially on your wedding day. Food for the Soul was amazing - absolutely nothing but great things to say about Tina, Rob & their staff. We loved their 'all-inclusive' service: we could get tables, plateware, decor items etc in addition to their catering service - so convenient & much easier than contacting all the various rental companies. We also secured Tina's services as a 'day of' coordinator - which was great - she was the perfect balance of letting me book what I wanted (I did want to do most things myself) but was always there to assist, suggest & support us if needed. Her response time was impeccable (so appreciated for long distance planning) and she definitely went 'the extra mile' with some of our requests such as getting decor items shipped over to Hawaii from Canada. On the day itself - Tina, Rob & their staff ensured everything went smoothly - we had no issues at all as far as I know (thats how well they took care of things). The decor items, table & plate ware looked great & were set up as we wanted, the service was great and most importantly - the food was amazing! All the items we ordered looked beautiful & tasted great - everyone enjoyed their meals & my only regret was not being able to eat more of my food (although Tina was nice enough to set aside some appetizers for us to eat when we had a little break). Overall - highly, highly recommended for the great food, excellent service & very helpful coordination assistance!

I can't say THANK YOU enough .. TINA AND ROB and all the staff at food for the soul catering.. You absolutely mAde my wedding day all i imagined and more. All my guests raved about the food " this was the best food we have ever had at a wedding" is what we heard all night. We are european so that means a lot, we go to a wedding a month it seems..lol. The filet was like butter..highly recommended ,,, we had crab cakes, beef satay, coconut prawns and bacon wrapped dates...i usually do not like dates but OMG. They were the best i have ever tasted, macadamia crusted mAhi mahi wAs sooo yummy......not only is the food , the best on the island but tina and rob went out of their way to fix any issue i had from decor to just issues small or big. She stepped up and fixed it no questions asked. Made my day stress free """ I came to Tina very upset 6 months before my wedding after having to let go of my first wedding planner, she stepped up answered every question, concern very quickly. It was absolutely a pleasure to deal with food for the soul catering. If i could give 10 Starr's. I would. After speaking with i think almost every wedding planner and vendor on the island tina and rob were recommended over and over. They truly love what they do and put their heart and souls in everything they do, it shows in the quality of their work. Their team came in And took over and just went to work, no questions or issues, they just did it. Very personable staff, easy to get along with. Special thanks to the staff who ensured the we the bride and groom had something to eat during pictures, ive been to a lot of weddings where the bride and groom barley eat, but not here, they make sure you are fed as well as your guests. The food and the service was fantastic. My guests told me that the streak served at our wedding was the best streak they've ever eaten. Tina made it easy to coordinate the catering from thousands of miles away. She was flexible and accommodating.

We had a wonderful experience with FFTS who hosted our small Maui wedding reception off a private property in Kihei last month. Their excellent food (both in taste & presentation), warm hospitality, true professionalism are exactly as described by many of the fellow Yelpers. Our guests commented how great the food was - particulary the luau pork which beat the Grand Wailea Luau by a mile. I was primarily communicating with Susanne, who's an absolute sweetheart: she kept me on track with the rental company and set the table beautifully (and fixed my silly presentation errors :), she kept the night running smoothly and dealt with the unexpected tiki-on-fire calmly. These are just a few reasons you should go with FFTS for your event - no matter big or small, they will take care of you. :)

WEDDING PLANNER – Tina @ Food for the Soul I read a lot of reviews online (it’s a theme) and talked to quite a few wedding planners. First, I was astonished that some charged 20% of the final bill plus a day-of fee to show up for the wedding! That concept was crazy to me. My husband and I are both doers and really wanted to be involved in the process and make decisions on vendors, design, food, etc. Enter Tina!!!! Tina gets great reviews for a GREAT reason! She was AMAZING to work with. We met in person when we visited Maui in October and just felt so at ease. Immediately, she had great advice for us and answered all of our questions. Throughout the planning process, Tina booked whatever we asked for her help with but also suggested different vendors for us to research. She also encouraged us to research others, outside of her suggestions. For example, Tina booked the transportation from the hotel for our guests – we had zero to do with getting bids—but, she gave us a list of suggested officiants to research and ultimately, we chose one of the people on her list. Other times, like when we found the photographers, we didn’t ask for suggestions and found them on our own. Tina confirmed all the details ahead of time with each vendor and was so thorough and calm during the planning. If we were having a difficult time making a decision, she’d offer the pros and cons of both sides but never pushed us one way or the other. It was important to her that this was our day. On the day of the wedding, Tina made everything run SUPER smoothly. Her team was professional and everything looked beautiful! CATERING – Food for the Soul Food for the Soul is the company that Tina and her husband have. At the same time we decided to work with Tina, we decided Food for the Soul was the caterer for us! The prices were reasonable and the food got great reviews. We didn’t do a tasting beforehand and on the night of the wedding, we weren’t disappointed! It was delicious. Everything was so fresh and the whole menu had an authentic Hawaiian twist to it. (If the menu is the same, it’s the first option on the catering list) We went with a buffet bc it was more economical for us and our guests were really happy. Tina really worked with us to keep the cost per head under control and we moved things around—taking items from the dinner buffet (like the fresh fruit) and making it an appetizer for cocktail hour. ALCOHOL-- Tina brought the bar staff and gave us a list of bottles to buy. We bought the alcohol at Costco near the airport. I would say the wine selection was smaller than what I was used to on the mainland but totally sufficient. We had a little bit of difficulty in finding a midpriced champagne and ended up getting a less expensive brand for welcome cocktails and mixed champagne drinks, and we saved Moet for the toasts and I think our guests really enjoyed it!!! I know I did. Now that I think about it, this was another big reason we chose not to have our reception at a hotel. The bar tab would have been out of control -- our guests sure do like a glass of vino. Being able to purchase it ourselves was a massive help to the pocketbook . As for alcohol, we got married in August so the afternoon started out hot. Gin was more popular than I thought and so was lighter beer. Surprisingly, guests still really enjoyed a good deal of red wine.

Tina and her wonderful team made our wedding day so special. The food was absolutely gorgeous-one month later and my friends and family are still talking about it! What really stood out for us though was Tina and her staff. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, instantly we felt like we had met new friends, which only enhanced our special day. Immaculate detail, professional, lovely. And I can't say enough about the food! We will definitely be calling on Food For the Soul the next time we are in Maui!

I used Food for the Soul as a one-stop-shop for my wedding at the Olowalu Plantation House. Tina was all that I could have asked for and more as a coordinator--she was knowledgeable, kind, honest, and extremely responsive. She gave me several recommendations for vendors that she often worked with, but always encouraged me to look around to find one that I was comfortable with. I did a little research on various wedding forums, and found that her recommendations were highly rated and affordable. She helped me book them and coordinated with them, while only passing along their standard rate (i.e. no commission for her), which streamlined the entire planning process and made things extremely easy for me. In addition to securing all of the vendors and services, she worked with me early on to establish a vision for the event, and as the date got closer, she followed up with me regularly to make sure that we had all of our bases covered. The actual wedding day was completely stress free for me. From the moment I stepped foot onto Olowalu, I could see that she had executed all of the details exactly as we had discussed, and she and her assistant Suzanne made sure that we stayed on schedule and that we actually had time to enjoy our day. Food for the Soul's catering service was also top notch. Tina's husband, Rob, provided us with delicious appetizers and a seamless plated dinner service for 60 guests. Their price for catering was extremely reasonable and transparent, as it included food, chairs, tables, linens, and service charge. The bar was also very affordable--Tina provided me a list of what to get at Costco, and we were only charged for the bartender and cups/ice. Overall, FFTS provided top quality service at rock bottom prices. Going with them for both coordination and catering services was the best decision, and it made both the planning process and the actual wedding day an absolute breeze. I cannot thank Tina and her team enough.

FFS was SO WONDERFUL!!!! I can't even begin to say how many compliments we got on the food, the service, and the entire atmosphere your company helped create! Rob was fantastic as was Debbie and the entire crew! Having worked in events myself, I know the food can make or break an event and FFS blew it out of the water! Many of my guests told me the wedding was the best meal they had on the island all week! I sincerely appreciate the professionalism, enthusiasm, and all around hospitality FFS extended to us. There aren't enough great words I can give for what you were able to provide on my wedding day. We planned to have a very small destination wedding in Maui Hawaii and were very fortunate to have found Food for the Soul. Tina, Rob and team were amazing!! Tina helped us plan our entire event from florist, fotographers, minister, music, hair/makeup...every detail was taken care of with the best talent possible. The food was delicious and we are a group of well traveled foodies :) The appetizers were incredible and as a main we had the Macademian encrusted Mahi Mahi -- everyone wanted to have seconds! So, food is obviously one of the hardest choices to make when planning a destination wedding. You and your guests are traveling potentially thousands of miles for your special day. The food has to be good, but how can you know? We tried to just find a vendor who had great ratings and hoped for the best. This worked out very well. We couldn't find a bad review about Food for the Soul and you're not going to find one here, either. The food wasn't just good for wedding food. It was good food period. We had the buffet-style luau; dinner was great and the desserts were top shelf. Tina was very pleasant to work with and we honestly wish that we had chosen her to be our coordinator (for purposes of securing an estate), as well. Our actual coordinator, Sandra Wagner of a Maui wedding day, turned out to be the biggest mistake of our wedding. The only thing I think could be improved - and you could suggest this - is that if you're furnishing your own alcohol, but hiring a bartender through Tina, make sure that a menu is available at the bar so guests are aware of drink options (specialty drinks, etc). We had a lot of drinks and mixers go to waste and I think a big part of that was people not really being aware of the options. For the price conscious out there, we did a lot of shopping around and Food for the Soul's pricing was on par with anyone's on Maui. You get the quality, but you're not going to be stuck with a larger bill as a result.

When deciding on wether or not we could actually afford to have our wedding on Maui, I googled caterers and Tina was the first name that popped up. I contacted her told her what I was looking for and she explained that she was full service, meaning not only food but tables, chairs, linens, and coordinating service on top of that. She made my whole wedding planning experience a breeze with her monthly phone calls, helpful suggestions and vendor connections. My wedding turned out better than I could have imagined and Tina and her staff are truly the reason why!! BTW the food was amazing, authentic local flavor, and Rob's salad dressing is to die for (maybe one day they will bottle it for sale ;)

AH-MAZ-ING! They did such a great job. Based on other reviews, I knew that I wanted them to cater my wedding from the start. The staff was friendly and super professional and my guests were blown away by their meal (we had a combo of filet and macadamia nut mahi mahi). Tina was so great to work with and she was also my day of coordinator. She and her assistant made the day run very smoothly. The power went out at my venue and it was not a problem for the team; they found a place to cook the food and had it all done and ready right on schedule! Tina made sure that the power going out didn’t affect me as much as it could and even arranged to have a back up generator delivered. She spent a lot of time on the phone with me before the wedding to make sure I had all the details in place. I had done a ton of research and had picked most of my vendors already, but it is really worth it to have someone make sure you have all your bases covered and to make sure everything runs smoothly day of the wedding. Don’t hesitate and have Food for the Soul cater your wedding and have Tina as a coordinator.

Tina comes highly recommended to me by a bride who lives in Maui. After 2 telephone conversations with other companies, I was ready to give up on my Maui dream wedding. After 10 minutes on the phone with Tina, I knew she was going to make it happen for me. She is realistic and is mindful of your budget. She is so understanding and mindful of your vision and ideas. I used Tina as my caterer and Wedding Coordinator!

My wedding day was stress-free! I knew I had an amazing group of vendors and Food For The Soul Maui was one of them. I loved the fact that Tina takes care of all the rentals as well as the food. I felt as if I didn't have to go to several vendors to get everything I needed, instead she was there to take care of it all. Prior to the wedding, we had a tasting and we absolutely loved the food. For our wedding we served 2 appetizers: salmon mousse in a puff pastry and brie en croute. Our guests loved it! For dinner we had surf and turn (filet and mahi mahi) which came with rice, pesto mashed potatoes, and veggies. Our family and friends still talk about the amazing food (and wedding!) we had. Some even said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We were so happy with our choice to hire Tina and Rob. They did an amazing job and I would recommend them to anyone!

One word. WOW! I thought our tasting with FFTS was good but man the apps/dinner/drinks served at our wedding was over the top. Tina and Rob are the sweetest people and they put their hearts and souls into their service. My guests raved and are still talking about the food. People were chasing down the wait staff because they could not get enough of the appetizers. Feeding my guests a really good meal was at the top of my list because I wanted them to be treated nicely for coming all the way for our wedding. Tina and her team delivered above and beyond. Tina also does some coordinating on the side so she was like a second coordinator for me. She has a good relationship with other vendors on the island and can recommend or hire others for you. FFTS is a one stop shop because all your rentals come with the price (Chairs, tables, linens, etc.) She can also order lighting for you. We also were able to just went the bartender/bar setup and purchased our own alcohol from Costco...so much cheaper and our guests had a fantastic time with the open bar all night long! For the price, service and quality, you will not find a better bet than going with FFTS. I hope to have my 1 year anniversary dinner catered by them when we return to the island. I have been crazing their Creamy Asian Salad dressing for weeks now… Tina’s husband Rob makes their sauces from scratch. Simply delicious!!!

We booked Food Fornthe Soul after reading so many great reviews and at the recommendation of our wedding coordinator. We were not disappointed! There are so many great things to say about them. First, the service is just incredible. I dealt with Tina throughout the process and she was so wonderful- patient, thorough and kind. She really wants you to be happy with everything. The food was excellent. Our appetizers were such a hit, people were talking about them after the wedding. The buffet was also amazing, so many wonderful choices. I just wish I ate more! Tina was really helpful with our budget, she saved us a lot of money! Also, all of their services include all the rentals, bar etc., so there is just one vendor handing all of that which makes everything easier. The staff that was there for the wedding was so nice and fun. They really seem to enjoy what they're doing. We had a death of a very close family member 2 weeks before the wedding. I will never forget the grace Tina showed our family, she went above and beyond for us including refunding us for the family who had passed on- she didn't have to do that. With Tina, I always felt like I was her only bride- no question was stupid, she was excellent with communication and truly cared about our happiness throughout the process. I can't imagine a better wedding caterer!!

During my 6 month engagement... Friends/family members: You must be so stressed planning for your wedding! It's coming up so soon! Me: No, not really. Wanna grab breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner this weekend? Friends/family members: *Look of shock* Wow, you're really calm about this! When I was planning my wedding....(enter story about a wedding planning debacle or two)..... Now, I can firmly say that the only reason I was so incredibly calm about my wedding was because of Tina from Food for the Soul. I'm the type to take on too many tasks because I want them all to turn out a specific way. However, you have to let go of some of your control tendencies when planning a destination wedding. Thankfully, having someone as professional, thorough, and prompt as Tina makes letting go very easy. Not only was she our coordinator and caterer, she hooked us up with amazing vendors, keeping our tight budget in mind. She put us into contact with Valerie Stevens for our flowers, and Valerie was so wonderful to us, truly going above and beyond! She also put us into contact with Wilmont Kahaialii for our music and entertainment, and he delivered such a fun party laced with Hawaiian history and traditions! Seriously, Tina was so awesome that we really only had 3 vendors to work with....a dream when you think about all the communication needed in planning such an event! Tina was very accessible even though being on Maui means she was constantly juggling many weddings at the same time. As for the food, it was amazing! Tina's husband, Rob, is a chef and takes care of all the food and catering. The food was so good, guests went up for seconds and thirds. Our guests raved about various menu items, from the beef satay and stuffed mushroom appetizers to the chicken and shredded pork entrees. The poke was so delicious and different from other poke we have tried, and the fruit was not only decorative but very delicious, perfect for our many fruit lovers! We had a number of guests who are very discerning when it comes to food, and even their palates were pleased! Kudos to Food for the Soul! The staff was very hospitable and professional, very top notch! We really could not have asked for a better coordinator and caterer. Truly, we are so happy to have found Tina and Food for the Soul. We got incredible service at a very reasonable price (especially compared to some other vendors on Maui who will try to gouge your wallet!).
