I was blown away by the amazing experience we had with Haines. From the initial tasting and designing, to cake deliveries and actually eating the cake, everything was amazing. So many people were asking where we got the cakes and we even had one friend walking around to see if anyone had any extra cake to share. They were absolutely beautiful and tasty! Haines was so kind and it was nice working with someone who really cared about our vision. She made the wedding cake I had always pictured but better!! Thank you!

I cannot recommend Haines enough - her work is absolutely incredible! Not only are the cakes delicious (we did several tastings and found that other bakeries did not compare!), but Haines was also a joy to work with throughout the design process. As a type-A bride, I had TONS of ideas for our surprise groom's cake and wedding cake. I actually sent Haines a PDF with inspiration, and she was all about it. She took my inspiration and created incredible sketches that really brought the cakes to life. During our wedding weekend, everyone was absolutely blown away by what Haines made. She created a replica of my husband's record player as the groom's cake - none of our guests could believe it was cake, and it was the talk of our Rehearsal Dinner! For the wedding cake, she made the most stunning sugar flowers I've ever seen, which we now keep under a display case in our home. Haines truly is the best and I cannot recommend working with her enough!

I cannot say enough great things about Haines and For Goodness Cakes! The entire process was so easy and enjoyable. I’ve worked with Haines in the past and knew how beautiful her cakes were, but more importantly how great they taste. So many specialty cakes are dry and overall, not good. This definitely wasn’t the case! We did two layers, the top layer was vanilla and fresh cut strawberries. The bottom layer was her chocolate decadence. There was only enough cake left over for a small to go box for my husband. I’ve never seen a crowd devour a cake the way they did with this one! What a hit! It was also perfectly created. Exactly the way I envisioned. I showed her a couple pictures and she nailed it! Thank you so much for such a perfect creation! I will definitely use For Goodness Cakes again!

Haines created both our wedding cake and the groom's cake for our reception. Both received rave reviews by our guest! Not only were they both super yummy - but they were also beautifully decorated. Haines was able to take inspiration from the lace on my dress to create the floral icing design on the wedding cake. And she nailed the groom's cake that was a surprise for the groom. She created a perfect design of his fraternity house. All of his fraternity brothers were SO impressed! The best part about Haines is how reasonably priced her cakes are for how awesome they turn out.

I highly recommend For Goodness Cakes if you are looking for a delicious, really beautiful wedding cake. Haines was so easy and fun to work with, she made the process of choosing flavors and design of the cake so easy for me... and my groom and parents really appreciated being included on the tasting :) You can scroll through the website's gallery or look at the portfolio, and quickly know how talented and creative Haines is, but her kindness, patience, and professionalism is what sets her apart from the rest. My groom and I have a different 'sweet tooth' so we divided the tiers into two different kinds of cake: an almond cake with raspberry/cream cheese filling, as well as a vanilla cake with caramel filling... they were both a hit at the reception. Everyone loved both flavors, and it was nice to have a choice. DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFUL!!!

There is a local bake shop in Charlotte where I always buy birthday cakes. We looked there for the wedding cake, but they really specialize in birthday cakes and we wanted a more classic wedding cake. Haines at For Goodness Cakes made us the most beautiful cake and it was fabulous-even better than my go to. She was able to match the design of the cake to my veil and the monogram matched the font on our wedding invitation. It was perfect.

Haines had been recommended to my mom from one of her friends and we went and had a meeting and tasting which was soooo good and decided on a lemon cake with italian butter creme icing! I couldn't decide on a design and had plenty of time!! I looked and looked at cakes and really wanted a pink ombre color palette and finally found a swiss dot design and we discussed it and she sent me a sketch which was perfect! So after a fall meeting and signed contract we didn't have to worry about a thing, and 8 months later it tasted spectacular and looked absolutely beautiful!! Haines made beautiful gum paste anemones for the cake topper and made sure that they were the perfect navy centers with a touch of pink- just beautiful!!

Not only was this the best wedding cake I've ever tasted, it was also the prettiest. We had an American Indian wedding and challenged Haines to create a henna style, line drawn peacock, that went up the 4 tiers of our cake. She also included line drawn lace detail to match my dress. It was a teal color (to match my bridesmaids dresses) on a white ground and it was exquisite. The flavor was an almond pound cake with cream cheese and raspberry filling with buttercream icing. I'm still fantasizing about the buttercream icing. Amazing!

For Goodness Cakes is delicious! A taste that cannot be beat and decor that was exactly what I wanted! Their staff is easy to work with and knew exactly how to make it happen flawlessly!

Our cake looked beautiful and tasted even better! My husband doesn't even like cake and he went back for thirds! Haines was so easy to work with, had great ideas and was also willing to try my ideas! Thanks for an amazing cake, I can't wait for our first anniversary!

My wedding was peacock themed and Haines did an unbelievable job on the design. I wanted it to reflect the theme without being too flashy. She nailed it. She had many cake flavor choices, but we chose carrot, lemon and almond for our 4 tiered cake (the top being ours - lemon also). The carrot was my absolute favorite - the only problem was - it was everyone elses too and I didn't get any! Oh well, next cake I need - I know where I am getting it.
