We are so happy with our choice to use For Goodness Cakes for our wedding. We ordered both a wedding cake and a groom's cake, and could not have been happier with how they tasted and looked! We had a consultation at their office to taste cakes (9 varieties) and discuss design. The consultation was awesome (one of the highlights of wedding planning for sure). All of the cakes were so delicious - we had a hard time choosing flavors! They nailed the design for the groom's cake, and included photos with the design sheet to ensure the cake matched what we discussed in our consultation. We would highly recommend For Goodness Cakes!

I was blown away when I saw our wedding cake! It was more than I could have imagined! It was so perfect, elegant, classy, amazingly beautiful! The detail on our wedding was so defined and perfect! We absolutely loved our wedding cake from For Goodness Cakes, which was an almond flavor with incredible cream cheese icing. They also made us five flavors of cake bites. The guests raved about all of them, and our only regret was that everyone loved them and we didn't have many left over!

We were very pleased with the way our cake turned out. It was exactly as we had pictured and delicious - we had so many compliments from our guests. Our contact, Bethany, was very easy to work with. Highly recommend!!

I was so pleased with the tasting and happy with my choice. I worked with Megan and I would say her response time was slow I would eventually receive my answers. I was very impressed with the tasting and loved my flavors at the wedding. Unfortunately they aesthetics of the cake were not up to par of excellent craftsmanship. For what I paid for a 4 tier cake lace seams should not be shown on the front of the cake. I hated all the photos because there are seams all over the cake. I felt it was poor work from my experience especially for what you pay for wedding cakes. If all you care about is taste then I would use them, but not for quality and art.

From my very first inquiry, For Goodness Cakes were amazing to work with. Megan and the team were uber-responsive and made the whole process of selecting a wedding cake fun. When we went for the tasting we were hooked, the cakes tasted fabulous and we had serious trouble narrowing down our selection. We were floored by how consistent the texture was across each cake we tasted and how spot on the flavors were! These cakes tasted REAL – no fake strawberry or lemon in the fruit flavors and we could swear we saw real vanilla bean in the vanilla cake! On our wedding day, the cake looked just like we hoped and tasted even better. Our guests absolutely loved it and people went back for seconds so they could try the different layers. We went with a semi-naked style cake and the folks at Goodness Cakes pulled it off fabulously – no loss of moisture whatsoever! We used our own toppers and the team at FGC made sure that they made it to our wedding in one piece. We can’t recommend these guys enough – originally we weren’t going to save any of our cake for our first anniversary, however the finished was soo amazing we changed our minds and have a large chunk of the Southern Pecan safely stored away to enjoy on our anniversary- if it lasts that long.

My fiancé was kind enough to ask if he could be in charge of tackling something during wedding planning season. I fortunately agreed and asked him to decide on a wedding cake vendor. He chose For Goodness Cakes and I couldn't have been happier with the decision. When we went to test cakes, we had so much fun! Megan was so sweet and easy to work with. They were wonderful about my gluten allergy and the strawberry GF cake was amazing! Several of my guests could not get over how wonderful the cakes tasted. One of them even said it was the best wedding cake she'd ever had. We will definitely be using For Goodness Cakes for all of our specialty cake needs!

A truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Megan was such a pleasure to work with and helped bring my vision to life. She was extremely professional throughout the whole process and would respond right away to any questions I would have. She offered great advice in helping me design my cake and made sure we came up with something I loved. All of our guests raved over the unique groom’s cake and our five-tier wedding cake. Not only did the cakes look amazing, but they were absolutely delicious as well. The orange velvet, champagne, and chocolate cake flavors are out of this world. Although I only managed a bite of cake that night, everyone I spoke to that tried them had extremely high praise for both the appearance and taste. I look forward to really enjoying it on our anniversary cake (that they are providing at no additional charge). I had FGC at my sister's wedding and it was so amazing that I used my one vendor not on my venue's list to get them for cakes as well. Melonie was so sweet and did an amazing job on our delicious cake. We did 4 tiers and a sheet cake because we wanted so many flavors. The pecan is amazing. Cookies and cream and orange velvet (like creamsicle) are soo good too. The cake was so moist and the frosting was so rich. If I had to have a complaint, I wouldn't have much of one. I will say they have a ton of brides in to the foam cake idea. Personally, I would never go for that unless it saved a bunch of money, but it seems like it only makes their lives easier, but costs the same. Either way, our traditionally cake was fantastic. Definitely highly recommend.

We had champagne cake, and it was amazing! Everyone at the wedding loved it, and they were surprised by the flavor. It was beautifully done, and they did a great job taking my inspiration photos and turning them into a design perfect for us. They were also flexible about setting up appointments and allowing us to bring some cake to my out-of-state of fiance for tasting.

We hired For Goodness Cakes for a few reasons. They were more affordable than the other option we considered and they were very professional during our consultation. We met with Megan for the consultation and she constructed a wedding cake of foam tiers so we could get a visual of what the cake would look like. She was very helpful in answering my questions and was flexible when we wanted to make changes to ensure that our cake was exactly what we wanted. The cake samples that she had for us to taste were all delicious! We chose the champagne cake with a raspberry filling and a strawberry cake with strawberry cream cheese filling. Our cake turned out beautifully and our guests all loved the flavors we chose. We hope it tastes just as good on our one year anniversary!

My family has been buying their cakes since Melonie started the business. Melonie and her fellow cake decorators are really artists at heart. They are so creative and talented. They did a Steampunk cake for our wedding, and it was perfect! She even included an intricate lace on the layers which was so beautiful. She made a lifesize copy of my husband's favorite guitar for the groom's cake. They taste even better than they look. The orange velvet disappeared almost immediately. I'm glad I asked the caterer to go ahead and set a slice aside for us.

Melonee and her staff are great to work with! The cakes look amazing but better yet they taste amazing. We had a 4 tier steampunk cake with gears, hand done lace and a corset at the top of the cake. The groom's cake was a replica of a custom made guitar. All of the details were perfect even down to the type of screws on the guitar. We had vanilla with raspberry filling and champagne icing, creamsicle cake, pumpkin cake, and chocolate on chocolate for the groom cake. Something for everybody. The cake was fresh and beautiful. If you want precision, beauty and great taste this is the place to go.

For Goodness Cakes was an awesome vendor to work with! They met and exceeded all my expectations! The whole staff, including the owner, worked closely with me to ensure I had my dream cake. The cake was not only beautiful, but was moist and delicious too. I would highly recommend For Goodness Cakes again to anyone!!

For Goodness cakes did an amazing job on our wedding cake. Megan was very helpful and stayed within my budget and still was able to give me my dream cake. The best part is the cake is absolutely delicious!!

We loved working with For Goodness Cakes, especially seeing as we didn't really know what to get for our wedding cake - they definitely provided us with lots of amazing solutions and the cake itself was absolutely amazing. My husband and I are both music lovers and our very simple cake was piped with music notes on every tier. We finally decided on 4 tiers with 2 tiers being orange flavored cake with white chocolate cream cheese filling and 2 tiers being champagne flavored cake (absolutely amazing!) with a raspberry filling. Our guest absolutely loved it and even though our bridal party sat on the top tier in the limo, Megan offered to make us a new tier for our one year anniversary! Best wedding cake vendor we could have asked for!!!

I enjoyed working with For Goodness Cakes to design my cake. Their prices are reasonable, and they worked really hard to give me exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay.

FGC was recommended to us by our caterer. They were easy to communicate with, warm, and welcoming. My husband and I did a tasting and couldn't have loved it more. We asked for a simple design because we wanted our florist to decorate it with fresh flowers. They did a wispy finish with buttercream icing and it was the perfect compliment to the beautiful flowers and to our comfortable, elegant, southern wedding. We chose classic vanilla for three of our layers and lemon for one of the larger layers. I only wish that we'd done more of it in lemon. Both were amazingly delicious, but the lemon was gone in a flash. People couldn't stop talking about both of our cakes. My husband wanted a University of Tennessee themed groom's cake and they did it well! We had orange and white checkerboard, and orange "power T", and some lyrics from "Rocky Top". They even got that obnoxious shade of orange just right ;) High praise coming from his Alabama fan bride!

I am so happy with our wedding cake! We chose the butter pecan which is to die for, champagne with raspberry filling, and strawberries and cream for our top tier to save. The decoration was exactly what I wanted. It was perfect; guests couldn't believe it was real. For Goodness Cakes is professional, accommodating, and the cakes taste amazing! Thank you!

I have been known to be a bit of a cake snob and this cake stole my heart at our tasting! Not only was each flavor amazing but they also made a beautiful cake exactly how I envisioned. Many of our guests told us it was one of the best cakes they have ever tasted.

For Goodness Cakes made a custom Chuck Taylor grooms cake for our wedding. The cake absolutely exceeded our expectations and was even more delicious than the samples we tested. The cake was a huge hit at the wedding and we took one of the shoes home to share with our family the next day to make sure they got a piece. They loved the details and how tasty it was as well. We could not believe how much the cake looked exactly like Chuck Taylor shoes. The quality of the artwork was like something you would see on TV and totally worth every dollar we spent! I would highly recommend For Goodness Cakes and will absolutely go to them again for any custom or big event cake I need in the future.

We purchased our Groom's Cake and Wedding Cake from For Goodness Cakes. They were both unique and delicious and exactly what we had planned. Our guests are still commenting on how great the cake was! They were so easy to work with and very quick to respond to questions. I recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful, unique and delicious cake and I can't wait to use them again for future events!

The search for my cake vendor was quite the process. For Goodness Cakes was the 5th and final tasting. I love to bake and I'm pretty picky about what I consider good. My cake was absolutely incredible. Several guests commented on how yummy it was. The design was exactly what I created during our consult. I ended up paying more than the other bakeries quoted, but you get what you pay for! The cake was delivered on time. They were very responsive to emails and phone calls. Would definitely use them again when I don't feel like baking my own cake. :)

Melonie Stanger was a joy to work with in helping my wedding planner and I with selecting our wedding cake. I loved that at our cake tasting Melonie took her time to explain to us the different options that we had and we were able to sample them all were delicious! After brainstorming for a little while we decided on a cake! The wedding cake was based off of another cake my wedding planner/designer and my cake artist created for a magazine photo shoot honoring Audrey Hepburn's classic black and white hat. I loved it so much I wanted to have a version of it for my day and they came up with the most amazing cake and it tasted amazing too! The flavor was vanilla with a champagne filling. When we arrived at our wedding reception the cake was the focal point in the room. It looked amazing and all of our guest agreed that it tasted great! We will definitely recommend Melonie and her team at For Goodness Cakes to everyone and will use them in the future.

It was wonderful working with Meghan. It took only about 15 mins to design my cake and I loved that I was able to do 2 different flavors of cake. AND the cake was so moist and delicious. My guests are still talking about it! They also showed up at Ashton Gardens on time & had everything setup and ready to go.

I was so impressed by their website – it was the best bakery website I had seen because they had all of their information about flavors and fillings right there. Plus I had been looking everywhere for someone who would do a chocolate ganache filling. Not only was the huge photo gallery of cakes impressive and beautiful, but it also really helped me decide on the details of my cake! Since I was planning an out of town wedding, they worked with me to schedule a tasting consultation during a visit. Melonie went above and beyond to deliver an exceptional customer experience – and my wedding cake truly was the best tasting cake of my life! I chose the vanilla bean yellow cake with milk chocolate ganache filling and buttercream icing in a simple and elegant design. They got every detail perfect! I whole-heartedly recommend For Goodness Cakes to everyone for wedding cakes or any special event cake. The cake was delicious, the details were beautiful, and the customer service was incredible.

Melanie created a 3 tier cake with blue waves on it and these amazing bubbles and the grooms cake was a replica of our speed boat. Everyone loved the cakes and said they were Delicious. We had no left overs of her cakes! Melanie is a true professional and worth every dime. She was so kind, and helpful through the whole process for us. I will forever order my cakes for all occasions from Melanie. She is the Best in the South.

We had our traditional four-tier cake for our couple's cake. It was beautiful and absolutely stunning to see. Melonie and her staff did an amazing job on this cake. My husband is a firefighter, so his cake was a fire helmet. People are still talking about that cake. It was so close to real life that someone actually thought it was his helmet. When we placed his helmet next to the cake, the details made it nearly impossible to tell them apart. PHENOMENAL! The red velvet cake on the inside was fantastic, too. Working with For Goodness Cakes was easy and delightful. I highly recommend using For Goodness Cakes!

For Goodness Cakes was outstanding. Their attention to every detail and their recommendations were spot on. They took the time to get to know Brandon and I, and in doing so were able to create exactly what we wanted and at a reasonable cost. The cakes were AMAZING (both taste!!! and design).

Melonie is so talented. I brought her pictures of several cakes and she was able to combine them into one and match my idea perfectly. Not only does she make beautiful cakes, she makes delicious cakes. The cakes are very moist and she has a wide variety of flavors. I would highly recommend the lemon cake with strawberry. We received so many compliments on that layer at our wedding. I don't like fondants and she was able to create the same effect with buttercream icing...yummm. The tasting was very professional. Highly recommended!!!

Melonie is so amazing! The tasting was so yummy me, my mom and sister couldn't decide what flavor to choose! We went with Champagne cake with Raspberry filling and butter cream icing :) When we walked into the reception we were blown away! It was beautiful and exactly what I dreamed of! The icing was so beautifully decorated that my guests and myself couldn't believe it was icing not fondant! (we can't stand fondant lol) It was as delicious as it was beautiful. Melonie was such a professional-communicating through email and phone and she listens to what you say. She truly was a blessing to work with. :) I recommend her to anyone for any occasion!

Melonie did a fabulous job- it was everything that I wanted and more. She did a 4-tier wedding cake- with 3 different flavors and a grooms cake with a C6 Corvette Emblem on top- Amazing! Besides the cakes being beautiful, the cake inside was so moist and delicious, my parents we so shocked to have a wedding cake taste that good. We've all been to weddings were the cake was dry and boring- not with For Goodness Cakes! Melonie is an artist when it comes to her cakes- the quality of her work and craftsmanship is top notch. If you are a bride out there shopping around for cakes- don't do it! Out of all the other things that go into planning a wedding- make this one thing simple- just go with For Goodness Cakes, Melonie won't let u down. I can't wait til 10/10/11 to eat my top tier of carrot cake!! yum!!

For Goodness Cakes are the best. My cakes were more than I expected. The cakes were delicious and beautiful. They captured my vision for my husband's cake and he was overly excited and surprised. His cake was an Alabama cake. White background with a red A. My cake was BEAUTIFUL and each layer was a different flavor. It was a four layer cake flavors consisted of vanilla, red velvet, chocolate, and strawberry with sugar crytals all over. My guest are still talking about our cakes. For Goodness Cakes are the BEST.

All I have to say is WOW! Melonie did such an amazing job. From our first meeting to the event, she was so professional and organized. And the cake was amazing! She made me a pumpkin spice cake with white chocolate frosting. I talked to my venue a couple weeks after the wedding and they said people were still talking about the cake. I also had a number of people saying it was the best wedding cake they ever had. I have to agree - but I'm a little biased!! :-)

Mel exceeded our expectations! I couldn't have asked for a more delicious wedding cake or better service. We ended up choosing three flavors because we couldn't make up our minds after our tasting -- red velvet, vanilla with white chocolate mousse, and butter pecan. All three were EXCELLENT and nearly 5 months after our reception, our guests are STILL talking about how amazing our cake looked & tasted. Mel even went above and beyond by creating a rose cascade on our cake last minute (literally on the DAY OF our reception) after our florist flaked. Mel is so talented and an absolute delight. Now, anytime we're organizing a celebration of any kind, we give her a call. Her cakes are a must-have!

Mel did a wonderful job with our wedding cake as well as the groom's cake. Since we were from out of time she took the time to sit with me on the phone and plan the details of both cakes. She even made us a little box of samples to take with us on the rode since we could not do a proper tasting. The cakes were absolutely delious and gorgous at the same time. I have never tasted wedding cake so yummy. Definately a valued vendor and a gifted baker/artist.

Mel was fantastic from our first conversation to the last bite of leftovers. She was extremely organized and professional - always available when I had questions or extra requests. She even worked with me to tweak our cake order and cut the price significantly. She was very patient with an extremely picky bride and executed what we designed to the very last detail. The best part was the cake itself - it was so fresh and moist and the flavor was perfect. Book her today!
