I have used them for birthdays and graduation cakes, and just recently for my own wedding. As soon as I got engaged, I knew I would trust For Heavens Cake bake my husbands surprise grooms cake. I sent a photo of what I visioned his cake to be, and it looked EXACTLY what I sent! I highly recommend them and will continue to use them in the future! Thank you guys!!!

Our cake turned out so beautiful! It looked exactly like the picture we gave them. We got so many people telling us how delicious the cake was! This vendor also provides you with a fresh 6" cake on your one year anniversary so you don't have to freeze the cake! I highly recommend using this bakery, everything they make is so delicious!!

For Heavens Cake did our wedding cakes this year and everyone was SO complimentary. They did an excellent job decorating and giving us something that tasted really really good. We used the cookies and cream and vanilla flavors with Bavarian cream in between for the brides cake and chocolate on chocolate for the grooms cake. They were fantastic! And everyone was so easy to work with!

Absolutely perfect! The cake was so incredibly delicious and fresh and BEAUTIFUL as well! We had inquired about adding a special touch with some hand painted figures we had made of our dogs and they did such an amazing job of making that happen for us! Thank you again so much!

We were so pleased with our experience working with Dawn at For Heaven's Cake! From the initial tasting to the event date itself, we could not have been happier. We loved having the option to include different flavors for each layer of our wedding cake, and we were so pleased with both the flavor and appearance of our final cake. Given that we planned our wedding from out of state, we were especially appreciative that Dawn was so friendly and responsive--meeting with her really sold us on For Heaven's Cake. The cake was exactly what we ordered, a horizontal comb white cake, one tier, and we added the flowers the florist gave us. The cake was a little dry but the raspberry filling made up for it!

For Heavens Cake is one of the best wedding decisions we made! They made our dreams come true and made the most delicious cakes we have tasted. Our guests were blown away! They treated us like family from the first moment we walked in, which is why we chose them. They will be our go-to bakery for everything we need from here on out!

Our wedding cake was so beautiful and tasted very good (almond with almond buttercream). They perfectly recreated my vision, and they were a pleasure to work with! They also bring your cake in this huge lockbox type thing, which protects it during the ride over. So cool! Our extra sheet cake was German chocolate and it was SO GOOD. We almost wished we had made all of our cake German chocolate. Many guests raved about the cake, and my mom even gave some of the leftovers to family and friends from church who were asking for more! For Heaven’s Cake was the best place we went to for cake tasting, and we would order from them again.

I was very specific about what I wanted from my wedding cake experience and it was not made to my expectations. I wanted a simple cake with gold piping and gold leaf on the center tier. The middle tier was a disaster and looked like a horrendous cheetah print, I was actually so embarrassed. Not to mention, the grooms cake was made in the incorrect flavor. Considering how expensive a wedding cake is, these inconsistencies were inexcusable. I tried reaching out to For Heavens Cake after my wedding to express my disappointment, and I was not responded to. It was very unprofessional, and I'm very upset at their customer service and quality.

We searched several vendors for Wedding cake. We decided on For Heavens Cake. The best decision we made! The cakes were delicious, beautiful and everything my daughter and her husband had envisioned for their wedding day! We received so many complements on the cakes from how pretty they were to the taste. Not to mention amazing pricing that doesn't break the bank! 100% recommend you give For Heavens Cake a try - you will not be disappointed!

I am not a big cake fan, but For Heavens Cake makes exceptional cakes! I had a vision for what I wanted our cake to look like and they were able to make a near-exact replica of the designs I wanted with the only changes being the modifications we chose. The flavors and fillings were absolutely scrumptious and had people going back for 3rd and 4th slices. Other than the top tier that was saved for us to have, there were no other leftovers. They do more than just bridal cakes, and I am sure to buy another cake from them in the future.

I 100% recommend For Heaven's Cake!! Dawn is amazing, she helped me draw out my vision for my wedding cake, and she even called 2 days before the wedding to confirm every detail!! She arrived early to set up the cake herself, and even used some leftover florals to add finishing touches to the cake!! It was so beautiful and absolutely delicious! Throughout the pandemic she reached out and kept in touch to assure me that everything was still set and that it wouldn't affect me having the same cake we had planned out. We were unable to do our first scheduled cake tasting in person, so she provided me a to go option so my fiancé and I could keep on schedule with choosing our cake! Thank you so much for everything!

FHC did both the bridal cake and grooms cake for our wedding, and both were the talk of the reception and turned out great!

The cakes at our wedding were executed perfectly. My husband had a TCU Horn Frog Grooms cake that was lemon flavored with raspberry filling and my cake was a elegant 4-tiered cake with chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon roll flavors. These cakes were DELICIOUS!! So many people reached out to us after the wedding raving about how delicious the cakes were. If you're looking for beautiful, tasty cakes with a staff that is delightful to work with, this is your place!

Dawn at For Heaven's Cake did an amazing job on both of our wedding cakes! My cake was absolutely beautiful and it turned out exactly how I wanted. The groom's cake was James Coney Island (chili dogs & tator tots) and WOW she knocked it out of the park. It looked so real. And to top it off, the cakes tasted delicious too! We even put a couple slices in the freezer so we could eat some after we got back from our honeymoon and it was still really good one month later. Would highly recommend!

What was funny was that my husband was completely not excited to do a cake tasting, but then when we actually went he ended up eating all 6 slices of cake she gave us. She let us pick several flavors and didn't charge extra. Our guests noticed that and went seeking out the different kinds we had on offer. I took some of the leftover cake to work and it was gone instantly. My flower lady forgot to send flowers for the cake, but somehow the cake person who delivered and my coordinator found a way to decorate it at the last minute. I would recommend this place for any of your events!

The cakes were absolutely delicious, first and foremost. My husband isn’t much of a sweets eater, but has pulled our leftover cake out 3 times to snack on it. They decorated my cake exactly to my request. I provided my own flowers to place on the cake by choice, and they placed them SO well. Their delivery was perfect, seamless. Ordering/tasting/dreaming about the cake was by far the best experience of wedding planning.

My husband and I found For Heavens Cake as a newly added preferred vendor for Ashton Gardens. After other popular bakers in the area, we decided to visit For Heavens Cake for a tasting. We fell in love with the "family" feel of this bakery. Dawn and her team were a treat to work with, and my cake turned out exactly how I pictured it. Not only was the cake beautiful, but it was absolutely delicious. When we were doing our tastings, we thought that the Italian Cream Cake was some of the best we had tasted. At the wedding, we received many compliments on how great the cake tasted. My husband was very pleased with his groom's cake also. We are very happy with our decision to work with For Heaven's Cake.

New owners took over a few weeks before our wedding and we are so grateful that they did! We had such a hard time with the previous owners, so the new owners made our cake BIGGER at no extra charge and it was exactly what we wanted! It was delicious and beautiful!

at first we were very worried after we made the non-refundable deposit to book for our wedding day. every time we visited or spoke with someone it was a different person and none knew what was going on with our cake, or with payments made and owed. around 2 weeks before the wedding we went to make the final payment and discovered the owners had sold to someone else and never informed us. however, this was the best thing that happened. the new owner went above and beyond to make up for the previous owners. she made our cake beautifully and much larger than we had ordered and paid for. in the end we were extremely happy with our cake thanks to the new owner. I recommend her highly. she has a Facebook page Cypress Cake Company.

Such a nice man yet the wedding cake delivered was a disaster and the most embarrassing moment for this mother of the bride. You’d have to see a photo to believe it. Not only was it tilting and mush, it was to be a “scraped/naked” cake. Apparently it was iced then icing removed when his wife realized it was wrong. The pineapple cake was hard so she injected juice which created the mush. The interior had cardboard holding it up so the bride and groom had trouble finding a place to cut! It has now been a year and there has been not even a partial refund! Thank goodness for the peach cobbler and ice cream provided by the groom!!!

Loved them so much! Norma was so kind and helpful, always looking for ways to save us money! The cake tasted so good, and looked incredible. We bought real flowers to put on it, and all we had to do was leave them on the cake table. When they delivered we showed them some photos of cakes we like and she just put it together. Seriously one of the best wedding choices we made! Love them!

From the moment I called to schedule a tasting, Norma was nothing but helpful. Prior to our appointment, she created a contract based on the design we wanted and the number of guests we are going to have and helped and answer some additional questions. At the tasting, Norma was great to work with. She was personable, accommodating, and offered her honest opinion. We also met Rick who helped to answer some questions as well. The quality and taste of the samples we tried were amazing. Luckily, we were able to pick more than flavor for our cake. We are very excited to have booked with For Heaven's Cake for our vegan wedding cake and we are certain our guests will be equally impressed.

We so enjoyed our visit to Heavens Cake for our cake tasting. Each cake was delicious and so moist. They guided us through the whole process , making suggestions to helped us pick the perfect wedding cake and kept us in our budget. Definitely be using them in the future.

This was the first place that we visit and the place that we decided that we will trust to make our wedding cake. Norma is great and she is patient, listens, and she also understands if you want to make any changes to the design, etc. Great customer service! When my fiance and I began our search for our wedding cake vendor, we booked three back-to-back appointments for the day. For Heaven's Cake was our first, and we met with Norma. Both my fiance and I went into this process a little naive. We didn't know what to expect when it came to pricing, design, and possibility, but we both had very imaginative ideas on what we wanted our cakes to look like. He wanted Hyrule Castle and I wanted a mermaid tail. Norma and I corresponded via e-mail in the weeks leading up to our meeting, during which Norma asked me several questions about my vision for the cake, flavors I was interested in, guest count and how to match that with the appropriate number of cake slices, and so on. Norma's enthusiasm was both refreshing and motivating. She compiled over twenty pictures of mermaid-type cakes and even worked with her colleagues to get a digital mock-up of the Hyrule castle cake. On the day of our appointment with 4HC, my fiance and I were 30-mins late (many thanks to unpredictable Houston traffic), but Norma was gracious and understanding. She also took her time in walking us through the appointment, explaining pricing and display options, and quizzing us about our cake visions. More than that, Norma even created a physical replica of my dream cake, just for the appointment. She was a total doll and made the process both easy and fun (especially because I was completely indecisive and needed some guidance). We were so pleased with our experience that we canceled our other two appointments and chose 4HC as our vendor on that spot. Weeks after the appointment, I wanted to make changes to the cake design, and Norma--once again--delivered. She sent me photo examples of what was possible and explained how the end result could be achieved. She worked with me, after working hours, to make sure she knew exactly what to draft up for the final product. This entire process was a dream, and I'd happily work with 4HC and Norma again and again.

Me and my fiancé worked with Norma and she did such a good job of helping us decide what we wanted with our cake. We got an amazing discount for paying in full with cash which was awesome! I got my dream cake and it was under my budget! The cakes used for the cake tasting were AMAZING. There was only one flavor my fiancé and I didn’t like out of like 10 or 12 flavors which made for a tough choice in picking out our cake flavors. I’m so excited to get my cake in December and I will update my review then!

Absolute perfection. I ordered my wedding cake from here. And 8 yrs later my stepsons weddinging cake. The level of service is bar none. I don’t even know where to begin! First of all, they came highly recommended by several vendors I booked for my wedding, and now I understand why. For Heaven's Cake (ESPECIALLY Norma!) has provided beyond excellent customer service. From the moment I reached out to request information, Norma was incredibly communicative, totally understanding my design vision, offering suggestions to make it even better, and at times even responding back to me within minutes. Since I had already reached out to other bakeries, I knew that this wasn’t the norm. That’s why I took a leap of faith and booked them for my wedding day before I even attended the cake tasting! It was so worth it because they were almost booked, and I knew they just had to be the ones to make my cake (their design mock-up was absolutely on point, no one else even came close to capturing my ideas and vision). When the day of the cake tasting finally came, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. As soon as we sat down, Norma brought out every cake sample we requested and then some! Hands down, some of the best cake I’ve ever eaten. Each sample slice was heavenly, moist, and delicious. There were several different combinations, and honestly, we had a really hard time deciding which flavors and combinations we liked best (the great thing is that we have five tiers so we got a different cake flavor and filling for each one). I can’t say enough wonderful things about my entire experience with Norma and the For Heaven’s Cake team. I’m so grateful to have someone like her to work with since wedding planning can get a little stressful sometimes. I can’t wait to have another occasion come up so I have the opportunity to design another cake with Norma and the team! It was hard for me to find a GF bakery but when I found FHC I was so relieved! Norma is very sweet and professional. She and I emailed back and forth to verify exactly what I wanted for my cake. She was always giving me options, whether it was with the cake design or with paying for the cake, which made me feel like she was really listening to what I wanted. The cake tasting was wonderful. She presented my fiancé and I with so many flavors. The GF cake was very impressive! It’s hard to make GF cake because it crumbles, but this cake kept together really well, and the flavor was amazing! Not only did she give me advice and options on cake, she even gave me helpful advice and tips for my entire wedding process, which I really appreciated! Norma is a kind woman with a great business personality. I would highly recommend her.

I recently placed an order for my wedding cake through them and the experience was absolutely effortless and ideal. Norma responded to my inquiry within minutes, and less than 2 hours later everything was done, like completely done with nothing left for me to worry about. I don’t even live in Houston and she made it so easy for me - one of the best customer experiences I have had so far with wedding planning. Amazing!!!! One of the most important things to me when it came to my wedding was the cake! I’ve had so much bad wedding cake and I didn’t want my guests to say the same thing about mine! I wanted something simple, yet elegant and of most importantly, delicious! Rick delivered! Being Scottish, I wanted to add tartan ribbon and Rick was more than happy to incorporate it! My husband wanted a tres leches cake with his army division on it and Rick nailed it!!! I had no idea a tree leches cake could look so good! I couldn’t be happier with how beautiful the cakes looked and how delicious they were! I’ve had so many compliments on how tasty they were and I have to say Rick & Ana did a fantastic job!! Thank you so much for making a special day taste delicious! 😀

We ordered both our wedding and groom's cakes from For Heavens Cake and they were both stunning. Not only were they beautiful, but the flavors pleased everyone. Dawn, the new owner, even has a personal policy that if you order a wedding cake from her then she will make you an anniversary cake free of charge. She was an absolute delight to work with and you can be assured she has your satisfaction in mind when designing your cake.

Though the wedding is in January so we haven’t seen the finished product yet, I cannot say enough good things about Norma and the consultation. My fiancé and I are planning our Houston wedding from Minneapolis so it requires a lot of emails, phone calls, etc. It’s really easy to be overlooked as a couple who can’t schedule immediate consultations. BUT Norma was incredibly responsive, detailed, organized, and understanding throughout our initial discussions. She offered to come in to give my family and me our consultation when she found out I was only going to be in town for one day. She spent over an hour with us, completely focused on us and so helpful with every question we had. She also offered to help us find other vendors. It was a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to see the outcome! Updated: Thank goodness the previous owner sold For Heaven’s Cake to Dawn. Unfortunately it was definitely a little stressful finding out that our cake vendor had technically changed and that the person you paid and selected wouldn’t be the one who was making the cake. We didn’t receive any notification that the business had changed hands. Thankfully, it turned out well. It tasted great and looked great. However, our bottom layer was supposed to be marble and ended up being chocolate - and very dry. The color was also way more purple than the swatch we provided (we provided more burgundy colors). Thankfully, Dawn was great when we gave her the feedback. She used our cake as a teaching moment and provided us a partial refund for the chocolate cake layer. She was very attentive to us through the last month before the wedding.

I’ll start by saying, I’ve never really been impressed with wedding cakes. It always seems like they are made to be looked at and feed big crowds than taste good. But For Heavens Cake has definitely raised my wedding cake standards! Not only did they make our wedding and grooms cakes beautifully, but they tasted so good! All of our guests could not get enough of the red velvet!

Rick did a fantastic job on our wedding cake! We gave him a photo we found of one and it was SPOT ON! The cake was gorgeous and tasted as good as it looked! I also like that they don't use any cake mix...they make it from scratch and you can taste the difference. I highly recommend!

"As many of you know - my parents remarried this past weekend after being divorced for 36 years. I wanted to make their day special and surprised my mom with an Enchanted Forest type theme in our backyard. A LOT of hard work was put into the event by many! I found the cake first and really designed the rest of the wedding around it. The baker, Rick Ballard of For Heavens Cake, assured me he was capable of providing the design of this cake. I built the cake table for the cake. I called and ask him what the dimensions of the bottom tier of the Cake were. He told me 12". He delivered 10". I want to show you what he had the audacity to charge me $535 for and deliver to me. You make up your own mind if you think he's a complete *expletive* and owes me a refund. I was an absolute pain about my cake because I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. Rick handled several changes to style and decoration with kindness and grace. The cake looked wonderful and tasted amazing. Thank you so much.

We had Rick at For Heaven’s Cake do our wedding cake in April and I am so glad we did. Not only was the cake beautiful and exactly what we asked for, but it also tasted delicious, which is so rare to find in a wedding cake. Unlike other cake bakers, For Heaven’s Cake bakes your cakes close enough to your event that they do not have to freeze and then thaw the cake like most cake bakers have to do. Our cake was so fresh and moist the guests ate up almost all of it! I highly recommend For Heaven’s Cake and will definitely use them again.

I couldn't be happier with For Heaven's Cake. We had a white Cake with bavarian cream for the wedding cake and red velvet with cream cheese icing for the grooms cake. Not only were the cakes beautiful but the taste was amazing. We had so many compliments on the cake. Also, Rick really helped us design the grooms cake. I wanted the Texan's Toro logo and gave him some ideas of what we liked and he went with it and it came out beautiful! I would highly recommend For Heavens Cake!!

I don't know what more positive can be said for For Heavens Cake, Houston's best event cake makers. Rick and Ana will go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you want, and then some! Our cake was a particular challenge--encompassing scenes from our favorite travel cities and serving as the centerpiece of one of the wildest weddings Houston has ever seen, for over 350 people (featuring mariachis, drag queens, stiltwalkers, confetti cannons, Hora Loca, etc.). Let's just say, the cake stole the show. People are still talking about it. When I look at thousands of pictures from the wedding posted by other attendees, the monumental cake Rick and Ana made is always the centerpiece. I think people took more pictures of the cake than they did of my husband Ricardo and me!! We couldn't be happier--we have used their tremendous cakes at many other events, and people always congratulate us on not only having the best looking cake, but also the best tasting one. Thanks to For Heavens Cake--there's just not a better baker in Houston for big events.

Visited with Rick at For Heavens Cake and he was amazing. Very professional and detailed. The cake we sampled at the tasting was fresh, very moist and delicious. We contracted with him on the spot. My wedding in Feb 2016. We can't wait to see the final look!

We signed with Rick the second we met him at his shop over by 290. He was very accessible via e-mail before that, and didn't make it the biggest fuss to make an appointment and have a consultation. Cake flavors for the tasting was plentiful but we went with Vanilla and Creme for the brides cake and it was fluffy and delicious. Did chocolate and chocolate cream for the groom's.. .and that was even better. Classics, but with their cream it was SO good. Like the usual modern bride, I brought some Pinterest inspiration cakes I liked. He didn't comment on how intricate they were, he just asked me which one I wanted... and they turned JUST like the pictures. He hit it off with my now husband about Houston sports... and even drew out a possibility for a James Harden cake (when we almost made it to playoffs). Anyway, we ended going with a UT tower cake (we're both alums) and it turned out better than any Pinterest cake I could even find. Pricing was good, and he even gave us a discount when I ordered cake pops/desserts for our couple's shower. Only thing I would say is that the cakes were a bit smaller than I was thinking... not everyone got cake but it could be that some friends ate double... Good overall!

Our cake cost was included in our venue - or so we thought. It turns our only the cake itself was included. Everything else was an up charge. Luckily I wanted a cupcake cake with minimal decorations so the brides cake was only $50 additionally to what we already paid. It looked beautiful and the cake/cupcakes were DELICIOUS. The groom's cake was another story. We had an original plan - then the groom decided to make some changes. A few days before the wedding For Heaven's Cake called me to confirm the changes. They had everything correct on the phone, but the cake was missing parts and just was not what we had discussed. And we paid about $250 in up charges - which is expensive when it is wrong. His cake was supposed to have gun shells around it - which it did not. it was supposed to be a special camo that the groom took a picture of and sent to them - but it just ended up looking like a big tree. They put a TX State bobcat on the top and that was the best part. it also tasted delicious.

HOPEFULLY YOU WILL GET YOUR CAKE!!! My daughter and now husband ordered a wedding cake and groom's cake from For Heaven's Cake. A basic wedding cake was included in the package we purchased through Brady's Landing (they did a great job!!!), and we decided to upgrade the wedding cake and add a groom's cake. When we got to the reception, the wedding cake was not designed how we ordered it, but at least it was there. THE GROOM'S CAKE WAS NEVER DELIVERED!!! This is one of the most important day's in someone's life, and when we told my son-in-law his cake wasn't there, you can see the disappointment in his face. Luckily, Brady's Landing provided extra cake for our guests, but of course it was a standard round cake, not the groom's cake we ordered. Four days later, and I still have not heard from For Heaven's Cake.

I wanted a red velvet cake for my bridal cake- I looked at lots of cake places trying to find the right red velvet cake- theirs was perfect in the tasting and even more importantly, perfect on our wedding day.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the cake they did for us! I brought in a picture from pintrest where the bridal and grooms cake were all in one split down the middle. There were elements of my picture I loved and some I wanted nothing to do with. They listened to everything I had to say, drew a picture and it was perfect! I have never liked Red Velvet cake... IT WAS THE MAIN FLAVOR FOR MY CAKE BECAUSE IT WAS SO GOOD! The only thing I would have liked to change was the serving size for the tasting. I brought myself, my fiance and my MOH to the cake tasting and we were served one small peice of each flavor which made it a little difficult for some of the tastings. They were all delicious though and i would recommend these guys to everyone.

For Heavens Cake came in our wedding package through our venue (Lindsay Lakes) for the Bridal Cake; however, we also decided to look into using them for the Groom's cake. When we met with Rick to do our cake tasting, we were beyond pleased to see how friendly he was! The tasting was so much fun and so delicious! We had a four-tiered amaretto bridal cake with the top and bottom tier having amaretto cream cheese filling, and one middle tier having bavarian cream filling and the other raspberry filling. My husband isn't the biggest fan of chocolate so we had a two-tiered marbled groom's cake - one tier with strawberry filling and the other with chocolate filling. I absolutely love daisies (they were a main wedding flower) and I had found a picture of a wedding cake on google that I loved - I showed Rick the picture and he said that they could do it - NO PROBLEM! Also, my husband not only graduated from Baylor, but also LOVES everything Baylor! We had found a picture on Google of a specific image of Baylor called the Sailor Bear - he also said he could do it without any problems! My husband also loves strawberries so he said he was going to line the cake with chocolate covered strawberries! Needless to say, our cakes looked PERFECT on our wedding day and every flavor of the cakes tasted AMAZING! Some of the BEST cake we had ever had! In short, we would most definitely recommend For Heavens Cake to anyone! Plus they have a really fun name! :)

Literally.....all of my guests were commenting not only on the style of my cake but also the taste. I gave them a picture of the cake I wante and they replicated it exactly and it looked better than the acutal picture! Believe me, there was not a single piece left (except for our anniversary layer) at the end of the night since guests enjoyed it so much. There's nothing worse than a ton of leftover cake. Our wedding cake and Grooms cake were out of this world. He did a specialty cake for the grooms cake it was amazing. The flavors are incredible. I would recommend him for any occasion!

I am still in awe as to how rediculously beautiful my wedding cake was! I can't stop looking at pictures of my cake. I was unable to find what I wanted in magazines so I simply told Rick and Ana what I envisioned and they showed up on my wedding day with a masterpiece - exactly what I wanted. I ordered lemon cake with lemon filling, carrot cake, and Italian cream for the flavors. I purchased some pearl and crystal brooches and gave them to Rick to be added to the design and he did a fantastic job accommodating this request. For Heaven's Cake also offers beautiful ornate cake stands as an option and it completed the look of my cake. It added even more height and sophistication to my cake. I told Rick and Ana how many tiers I wanted and they figured out how big each tier had to be. I ordered extra cake because I wanted a bunch of cake to-go for my BBQ the next day, and my family ended up eating their fill for two entire days! For Heaven's Cake is a must if you want your guests to enjoy delicious cake that is beautiful as well, which is very difficult to achieve. Hopefully I can stop looking at my cake pictures soon, but I will definetly cherish the memory of my cake forever. Thank you Rick and Ana!

The best cake ever! Rick and his team really outdid themselves with our cakes! They were so delicious, and were so very beautiful. All I had to do was send Rick a picture of what I wanted, and he surpassed all of my expectations. The cake was moist and fresh, and it was just about the only thing I actually got to finish at the wedding. The presentation was gorgeous, and I received many compliments on them. For Heavens Cake came with our venue Lindsay Lakes. They made both our cakes (wedding and groom's cake). I was plesantly surprised with all of the options for flavors and fillings. We couldn't decide on which flavors, so we had 5 different cakes that were all different flavors and fillings. All of our guests were able to get two different slices of cake from the 200 servings we ordered. They were all so good we didn't have any leftover cake. Everyone complimented us on them.

I contracted Rick (owner of For Heaven's Cake) to do both my wedding cake and the groom's cake. He was very professional and understood exactly what we wanted especially for the groom's cake without having to explain over and over again. Both cakes were hits and we got lots of compliments from our guests. Some guests told us that they usually do not like eating wedding cakes but they loved our cakes as they were awesome and tasteful. He also gave us a discount for our cakes and delivered the cakes on time. I would recommend For Heavens Cake to any bride.

rick did a wonderful job on our cakes! he is very talented and after speaking with him, we figured out his background is in the arts. you can tell that from his cakes. not only did the cakes look wonderful, they tasted great too!!

This is the baker that came with our venue, so I really can't say how the prices are. However, the cake was delicious and very fresh. We gave them a picture of a cake that we wanted them to mimic, and the design came out very pretty. It was very well done. On the down side, our wedding color was a teal/seafoam-green type color, but our wedding cake came out very green. I think he was going for mint green, but I wish he had just matched the color in the picture, since that was what we wanted it to look like. Still, it was pretty and it tasted good, so all the important stuff was right.

Rick created the cake of my dreams, and even came up with the great idea of making a blueberry mousse so when we cut the cake it would be purple to match my wedding colors!!! The cake was breath-taking and delicious.

We got both our wedding cake & the groom's cake from them and they were DELICIOUS! Our guests were obsessed with both cakes & there wasn't very much left! We were thrilled with the way they looked and we will go back again for any occasion!!

I have to say that I am not a avid reviewer, but in this case i felt it necessary as I can't show enough gratitude to "For Heavens Cake" especially the Owner Rick and his Wife. I am from Houston but Live in London with my English Husband. Living in England has left me stranded in the wedding Vendor Department. Booking a wedding is hard enough, but try doing it thousands of miles away! I never read any reviews from this Bakery beforehand, I just stumbled on it through theknot.com. I found their website was incredibly helpful and Ricks Response was almost instant. You would be surprised how many Cake Websites do not even list flavors on their websites. After weeks of blind searching online I booked a ticket to Houston to meet with 4 of the leading Cake Bakers in Houston. No where did I get the service that Rick gave me. He used to do Graphic Design so he was very helpful in my cake. I wanted a three tier cake that had the silhouette of the Houston Skyline, and London Skyline. When I showed him my sketches he noticed that the Houston one was outdated! ATTENTION TO DETAIL!!!! Right then I knew he was the only man for the job. I put my complete trust in Rick and his wife. The Cake was delivered on time and the price was fair! They do everything by themselves so no worrying that a sub vendor might get lost or drop your cake! I absolutely cried when I saw my cake. He made what could have been easily been made to look like a children's Birthday cake into a Elegant piece of art art for my wedding! I believe all these bad reviews are just written by Bridezillas! I asked Rick about them and he had no problem explaining each and every problem and how it was rectified. The Taste! Oh My Goodness I'm not even a fan of cake and I could not stop eating it! We had Top Tier Amaretto with Amaretto Icing. 2nd Tier Butter Cake with Cheesecake Frosting, Bottom Tier. Bridal White with Cream Cheese Icing. The Amaretto did not stand a chance that was the first to go, along with the Cheesecake. We ordered way to much and I had the idea to put to go boxes on the cake stand. WHAT A GOOD IDEA! Every Guest took home 5-6 slices!! At the Morning after breakfast everyone skipped the bacon and eggs and went straight for the Cake!!! My Husband ate 5 Slices before 11am! Another Must know about this bakery is that the Fondant is made by Rick. and OH MY GOODNESS It's the first time I have liked Fondant! It taste like buttercream. No one peeled it off! He is also amazing at making buttercream look like Fondant! It was soooo smooth you could never tell it was buttercream! Brides, I'm leaving some not so good reviews for other vendors but I can not in good conscience say one bad thing about this bakery. The showroom is beautiful, the cakes are amazing, the price is fair and the Owners are kind. Rick will pull over in his truck to talk to you when you are having a Freak out! 5 Stars out of 5!

Rick at For Heavens Cake is an artist! My cake turned out even more beautiful than I imagined!! I thought it was going to be a little busy (because of what I selected), but it was very classy and elegant and fit with my wedding to the t! I only got to taste my cake when we cut it, I didn't have a slice myself, but when I tasted it at the tasting and when I had my piece on the wedding day - it was DELICIOUS!! I also got many compliments on how good it was! My husband did something a little different and asked for a "Predator" cake as his grooms cake, and it turned out awesome! Everyone was so surprised! I definitely recommend For Heavens Cake - they are awesome!!

Everyone absolutely LOVED our wedding cakes! For Heavens Cake makes the the BEST wedding cake I've ever tasted! It is so fresh and never frozen, and my guests could definitely tell the amazing difference! They made the process easy for me and the designs I chose for my cake and the groom's cake came out perfect! I definitely recommend For Heavens Cake to my friends and fellow brides! I went to Rick because I loved one of their cake pictures on the website for my wedding cake. After trying some of his cake I decided on an ivory tiered white cake, each tier filled with something different, the bavarian cream is amazing, with buttercream roses for my cake made for 300 people. For my husbands cake I ordered a washer board cake and sent Rick a picture of the washer boards I had gotten him for his birthday with his college teams logo on it, it was his triple chocolate and covered with fondant, made for 100 people... Ricks fondant actually tastes good!. Both of them turned out perfect! The taste and look was exactly what I had envisioned!

For Heaven's Cake was included in the package we booked with our venue and I am so happy they were! Rick was so easy to work with and answered emails promptly. When we arrived for our tasting and consultation, my groom was still unsure of what he wanted and Rick talked him through the processes and helped us pick something my groom loved and that fit our budget. Our cakes were delivered on time and tasted amazing! I can't wait until our 1 year to eat some more!!!

Our biggest complaint about this vendor is that on the groom's cake, the groom's name was misspelled!!!! THE GROOM!! The groom's cake was a 3D Stanley Cup replica, that looked pretty good, and we asked that all the wedding party's names be written on the cake. Like I said, my husband's name was misspelled, and yet his brother's (the same name) was spelled correctly. He also misspelled my sister in law's first name. The fact that he misspelled my husband's name on his cake is unforgivable. We even sent him a spreadsheet with all the names spelled correctly, but I guess he never checked to be sure it was right. Anyway, we also were dissappointed because we purchased our own cake topper and took it to the bakery a few weeks before the wedding, and they did not have it when they delivered the cakes. They said they would go back and get it, and that it would be there before any guests arrived, but that was not the case. It did get there before the cake cutting, so I guess that was the most important thing. The wedding cake was beautiful, but the grooms cake was a huge dissappointment.

Our cakes were perfect! They were exactly what I wanted and tasted delicious!!!!! :) The cake was a huge hit! For the grooms cake, we did the Texans toro. I had e-mailed them about making a character to place on top of the cake with a laptop. My husband is a huge fantasy football fan. It turned out better than I could have imagined. He was shocked to see himself in fondont on top of his cake. I would recommend them to anyone!! :)

Rick was amazing. He took the picture of the cake i liked and duplicated it. It was also so delicious we hardly had any left! The groom's cake was red velvet and it was gone in 10 minutes! I saw that he was a Knot Pick of 2010 and he definitely lived up to it. If you are in Houston, he should be on your list to check out!

Rick was very professional with all of his clientele. We were very pleased with the results of our cakes! They tasted great and looked wonderful! Like something out of a magazine !

We chose For Heavens Cake in April 2011 for our wedding cake and we warn you from making the same mistake. We met in person with Rick (owner) twice and finalized all details on how we wanted the cake decorated exactly one week before our wedding. When we entered our reception, we were horrified to find the cake was nothing like we had specified in our written contract. The color, flowers and design were all incorrect, it was as if we received the wrong cake. When calling Rick afterwards, he blatantly lied and said we changed the order 2 days before the wedding. Why would we change the order so soon before our wedding to a design that didn’t match the rest of our decorations? We filed a small claims suit and got a refund from Rick. Search for reviews (Yelp and projectwedding.com) on this place, and you will find we are not the only people who had this problem (I wish we saw these reviews before making our decision). DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE BUSINESSMAN!!

I highly recommend For Heaven's Cake, Rick was very responsive from the 1st meeting, cake tasting, via email, etc. Our cake arrived right on time, was decorated just how we wanted, tasted great, we received lots of compliments on it.

Had a really great experience with them. We sent them the picture of the cake we wanted and it turned out perfectly. It also tasted great! The reason ours was cheap cost was because it came in the package deal with our venue.
