After many years of working as a DJ in southeastern Wisconsin, in 2009 Jerald Donegan (DJ JayDub) decided it was time to start his own DJ business, and For The People Entertainment was born. We pride ourselves on being able to entertain any crowd from weddings to birthday parties, to corporate events, and anything in between. Since its inception, FTP has grown every year and become a premier name in wedding DJ entertainment. Jerald is the absolute best – 100% and then some recommend! Jerald was professional and responsive in his communications; helpful and patient in the music compilation process; and a dynamic musical host who made our wedding what it was frankly. From the music as guests came to sit down through to the dinner playlist to the incredibly, incredibly fun reception all the way through to a surprise set of wrap-up songs while we cleaned up at the end of the night. The last of which touched both me and my husband in its thoughtfulness. Jerald had everyone on the dance floor all night! We had a diverse wedding of ages and cultures and Jerald was so skilled at weaving the night together beautifully. From Mexican banda ballads to classic line dances to reggaeton alongside pop hits and golden oldies, everyone was laughing and dancing throughout the reception. He has an intuitive sense of how to balance the playlist while taking requests and to build up/respond to guests' energy that showed what a consummate professional he is as a DJ and host. He even had me rethinking what it means for a song to be one "everyone" knows, for which I am personally grateful. Our guests could not stop talking about how good the music was! And neither could we. The next day at our BBQ almost everyone said some variation of "how can we do this again so the DJ can come back?" Both for his musical talents and for his positive personality. For the People Entertainment has been the DJ for so many of my friends and family’s weddings and has been fantastic everytime. Jerald is so easy to work with and is always quick to answering emails and good with communication. He knows exactly how to read the crowd and get people going. He’s such a people person and was constantly taking song requests all night. At our wedding there were at least 7 other couples that had used him previously at their own. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fun DJ at their wedding!

Jerald was amazing! He had such a great read on the crowd and kept the energy up the entire night. What really stood out was how flexible and fun he was—he even let my young daughter jump in on the mic for a spontaneous moment, which made the whole event unforgettable. I hired For The People knowing that DJ is one of the most important parts of my wedding and I was not let down. From the first time meeting Jerald I was at ease and knew I had made the right choice. I sat down with 3 other DJs and Jerald is the only one who really understood what I was looking for. He helped me keep my timeline, he worked with all of my vendors even my photographer complimented my hiring him, all of my announcements were on time and heard by all, and the dance??? Jerald was amazing this past weekend. We had kind of a weird crowd situation for our wedding and he handled it like an absolute pro. The people that were out there dancing couldn't get enough of him and his music! Even our friends really liked him and were hoping he would stick around after music was done just to hang out for a bit. Wow. We were blown away by FTP Entertainment at our wedding this past weekend. Jay Dub and his amazing assistant were so friendly and went the extra mile to make it a memorable evening. There are too many good things to say! I have been to two weddings where Jerald was the DJ - so when my wedding came around it was no question on who we'd reach out to. There is an easy inquiry form to fill out on his website and it truly is smooth sailing from there. You have access to your own portal to input information and song requests (which is good, because we changed things around 100 times) and always get a fast response from them if anything questions arise. Jerald made our special day run without skipping a beat, the flow and timing of everything was perfect. Everyone had a blast dancing and Jerald was able to keep the party going by engaging with our guests, too. We had multiple people ask where we found such a good DJ, I will forever recommend Jerald and his services with FTP Entertainment.

JDubz was by far the best DJ I have ever experienced at a wedding and I’m glad he was the DJ for my wedding. He played all the music we requested prior to the wedding, and was even coming up to me during the wedding asking what songs I wanted to hear next. Jdubz was actively involved with all the dancers and throwing in his special touches to make sure everyone was having a good time. After the wedding a lot of people came up to me and stated how much they enjoyed the music and DJ. I was like that’s my guy JDubz! If anyone is looking for a DJ this is your guy. Even during the best man’s speech he put together on the fly a song that was being talked about. Love this dude.

Jerald (DJ JayDub) was absolutely amazing as our wedding DJ! From the first inquire he was very attentive and throughout the planning process was always there to answer my questions. We ended up having a rainy wedding day so we last minute had to move the dinner portion indoors and Jerald was positive and super adaptable from the moment he arrived to the last song on the dance floor! Our guests were dancing all night long and we received many compliments on what a great DJ we hired. I will definitely recommend him to anyone I know having a wedding near or in Milwaukee.

JayDub rocks! Not only did we and our wedding guests had so much fun dancing all night long, JayDub also helped things run smoothly throughout the entire wedding. The ceremony music was flawless, and he expertly set up the wireless mic for the officiant to use. The cocktail hour music was excellent, and he did a great job announcing things to make sure guests knew what to do and where to go. During the reception, I felt so at ease as he introduced our wedding party and cued up the music for our first dance. Every moment felt fun, easy, and professional. Once the dance floor opened, the party really got started. JayDub knew just what songs to play to keep our guests going. His services included fun lighting with a disco ball, and everything looked SO COOL! He read the room really well, and when it was clear most of us were rusty on our Wobble, he joined the dance floor to teach us. We had such a fun time, and we highly recommend JayDub as your wedding DJ!

I first heard Jerald of For the People Entertainment when I attended a wedding a few years back. I left that event feeling so impressed, I held onto his card for years until I got engaged, I knew at that moment we wouldn't go with anyone else. Jerald is an amazing host and MC, full of smiles, charisma and a great singing voice (when he jumps in occasionally) to boot! He is extremely professional and responsive, he was able to accommodate all of our requests from using custom files for songs, to playing special songs / introducing special songs that had meaning to us. Omg!!! We loved Jerald and his team! They were seriously amazing from day 1. Their website is super easy to follow, so all of your special moments are catered exactly how you want. The communication was outstanding! You’ll literally be walked through the entire day/ night (first on the website and then with Jerald to confirm… he and his team are available in between time too). We had a large wedding (190 people) from 2yrs old- 80yrs old and there was an amazing mix for all generations. From baby shark to 70s hits! But it was mixed so perfectly that you didn’t even realize you were dancing to a kids song at first 🤣. No one sat down, it was so fun! Everyone had an amazing time, especially us! For The People is the definitely for the people LOL ok that was corny but seriously, they absolutely understood the assignment ✅ They even reached out after the wedding to congratulate us again and make sure we were satisfied. I’m sure they have a lot of projects but they will truly make you feel like you are the most important couple of the year. I’m so happy they were able to make our day complete ❤️

Cannot rave enough about FTP entertainment. Jerald is OUTSTANDING to work with, and he kept the dance floor full all night! He was out dancing with the guests at multiple points in the night and looks like he is having a blast himself. He is fun, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Everyone RAVED about the music and I would recommend him to anyone. He is also very reasonably priced compared to every other DJ we looked at, and FTP is worth every penny. Do not even think twice-hire him! It was a party!!

Jerald (J-Dub, the people’s DJ) was AMAZING! We booked him for our wedding this past weekend and our guests cannot stop talking about how incredible he was. Half of our guests don’t typically dance, but he was able to get them on the dance floor and enjoy themselves. He really knows how to work the crowd, but more importantly, how to read the crowd and change the music to keep the dance going. His pricing is incredibly reasonable, and honestly, I think he’s worth way more than what he charges (yes, Jerald, you’re worth it!). We had multiple guests come ask for his contact info to possibly use him in the future and one aunt mentioned the day after the wedding she ran into an engaged couple in the area and passed his contact info to them and highly recommended they book him for their wedding. I reached out to 6-7 DJ’s during our planning, and Jerald was by far the most responsive and professional in his communication. I would actually say out of all of my vendors, he was the easiest to communicate with, and brides, we all know how important this is to manage our stress! I gave him the wrong phone number to contact me (sorry!) and he just took control and got everything done despite the confusion. Jerald and FTP, thank you from the bottom of my heart for such an amazing night! I don’t doubt we’ll be hearing about you from family and friends for years to come.

We hired Jerald for our micro-wedding this past weekend and he made it an amazing night!! I was nervous about how the night would turn out on the dance floor, knowing that it was such a small crowd but Jerald kept the night alive and kept people on the dance floor all night long. I first met Jerald at a bridal expo and I immediately knew he was the DJ I was going to hire for my wedding! I was so impressed with his professionalism and loved his personality! Leading up to our wedding day he was very easy to contact and always responded to texts and emails, and answered any questions! At our wedding he played everything we and the guests requested! And he also danced and sang along with us all night! After our wedding we had guests complimenting our DJ and asking for his information! Jerald was AMAZING! We got married in 2019 and still have people rave about the music at our wedding and how amazing our DJ was. Jerald was professional and so nice throughout the whole process, and was such a great addition to our wedding memories. You will NOT be disappointed with FTPE!

Jerald was amazing. He had everything under control from walking us through everything beforehand to the last dance. I felt like I didn’t have to worry about anything. A great personality and kept us dancing all night long. I had multiple people contact me for his information after the wedding. If I ever get married again (fingers crossed I don’t) I would go with For the People no doubt!

Jerald did an amazing job at our wedding. He is very friendly, professional, and fun. We had so many compliments on our DJ and his music choices to keep everyone on the dance floor the whole night. He dances and sings along so it’s a non-stop party. He did our ceremony and reception and it went flawlessly. Would highly recommend!

We saw Jerald DJ a friend's wedding. We loved the energy he brought and knew we had to book him for ours the following year. We've interacted with some rude DJs at other weddings, or DJs who are a little too involved in talking during the reception. We experienced none of these issues with Jerald. We were pleasantly surprised at how affordable he was while still providing top notch DJ services. He was personable, funny, and easy to communicate with. I also liked that he had an online platform so we could pick specific songs to play or to NOT play (so important!). He did everything we asked for our wedding and make the reception a lot of fun. He knows how to feed off the energy of the crowd as the night goes on. Highly recommended!

Great DJ for our wedding! They met with me before our wedding to plan something special for our first dance, we discussed songs I wanted to not play and they played all of my requests. They also kept guests entertained by bringing out a microphone to sing at some points. Highly recommend!

For the People Entertainment was amazing and I highly recommend! He was very organized with a website that allowed me to pick songs I liked and didn't like, as well as information about the wedding party, etc. He called me before the wedding to go over all of my selections on the website. He was prompt to my venue and everyone had good things to say about him. He had everyone on the dance floor having a good time. Pick For the People Entertainment for your DJ and you will not be disappointed.

DJ Gerald is the best! He DJ’d another wedding we were guests at and we knew we had to have him! Awesome energy and vibe. Keeps the party going all night! One of my best friends booked him for her wedding and he even helped me surprise her with a maid-of-honor speech to Ice, Ice, Baby! There isn’t anything he can’t do. Highly recommend.
