Forest Hall at Chatham Mills was the perfect venue for our 11.23.24 wedding. We fell in love with its rustic charm, natural light, historic feel, and gorgeous details like the market lights and handcrafted wood rectangle farmhouse tables. It created the warm, welcoming, and classy atmosphere we wanted for our intimate celebration with 70 guests.
The venue team was incredibly helpful, and we especially appreciated the support of the 39 West catering crew. Danielle worked closely with us to finalize every detail, from the menu to the room setup, ensuring everything reflected our vision. On the day of the wedding, the 39 West team handled setup and execution flawlessly, and our day-of coordinator, Arnisha Gaither, plus other hired vendors helped bring it all together seamlessly.
We loved the convenience and aesthetic of having everything onsite. The ceremony space, reception hall, bridal lounge, and Sycamore lounge (used as the groom’s suite) were all stunning, trendy, and thoughtfully designed. Forest Hall also provided all tables and chairs, giving us the flexibility to customize the setup to match our style.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how unique and beautiful the venue was, and it truly made the day feel special. We highly recommend Forest Hall at Chatham Mills to any couple looking for a space that combines natural beauty with flexibility and exceptional service. It exceeded all of our expectations and gave us memories to cherish forever!
We love Forest Hall! It's a beautiful venue located in the heart of Pittsboro, North Carolina. You only need to add a little decor to enhance its rustic and welcoming feel. The size is great for a medium-size wedding (around 125 guests). The bridal suite has been recently renovated and provides a great wedding party entrance for indoor ceremonies and hangout spot during cocktail hour.
They do require couples to have event insurance and a wedding planner, and the latter will be best to go through when communicating with the venue. Luckily, many wedding planners in this area have worked with Forest Hall over the years it has operated.
We also recommend going with their in-house caterer, 39 West, for food and beverage.

Forest Hall at Chatham Mills is a historic wedding venue in Pittsboro, North Carolina, about 20 minutes from Chapel Hill and 40 minutes from Raleigh and Durham. The hall is a restored early-1900s label mill with wood floors, exposed brick, tall windows and market lights strung from the beams. It sits on 32 acres of woods and meadow.
You can hold your ceremony and reception in one place. Say your vows outdoors under our 80-foot sycamore or in the meadow, then move inside, where the 3,500-square-foot hall has one side for dining and one for dancing. Our three packages cover 25 to 120 guests, from a Microwedding to the Classic Celebration.
Worried about rain? You don't have to choose months ahead. The hall is ready as an indoor ceremony space, and you can make the call just hours before.
Every package includes 15 farm tables that need no linens, padded wooden chairs, cocktail tables, lounge furniture, a private dressing suite, a one-hour rehearsal, a day-of venue host and free parking. We handle setup and tear-down. The room needs very little decoration, as past couples point out in their reviews.
Dinner is part of the package. 39 West Catering, our in-house caterer, serves tray-passed hors d'oeuvres, two entrees and two sides on real china, followed by a cutting cake and mini desserts. Bartenders, ice and glassware are included; you bring your own beer and wine, and liquor packages are available. The Sycamore lounge next door serves as a second dressing suite with our two larger packages.
Our team has more than 30 years of wedding experience. Danielle, our venue manager, has worked in weddings for 16 years and will be your point of contact from your tour through your last dance.
