Forest Highlands is a full, four-season wedding destination and each season is as beautiful as the next! Our unique setting allows us to offer weddings all year round, and our backdrops include towering pine trees, colorful landscapes, snowy winters, and panoramic views of the San Francisco Peaks.
Our venue includes a team of experienced, professional service staff, and a friendly, flexible catering team to assist you with facilitating every detail of your special day. Your guests will enjoy warm hospitality as our staff is welcoming and attentive as they strive to create special and memorable experiences.
Our ceremony sites are all gorgeous outdoor spots with several spaces to choose from. Our elegant Canyon reception room has floor to ceiling windows and a large wrap around patio with furniture and ceiling heaters so in the case of inclement weather guests can still enjoy being outside.
Forest Highlands is proud to offer our couples the services of our very talented and celebrated culinary team. We offer exciting, modern cuisine which entertains the eyes and taste buds with entrée selections that are truly unique and creative. We we will be happy to discuss your favorites and customize your wedding menu to suit your personal tastes. We also have a talented pastry department that can create a beautiful wedding cake based on your desired design, or create an entire dessert table of assorted treats.
Flagstaff is conveniently located along I-40 and I-17 in the northern part of Arizona. Out-of-town guests can take advantage of the many hotels in close proximity to the venue. Flagstaff is one hour from the Grand Canyon and 30 minutes from Sedona, or if guests want a more local experience Forest Highlands is located minutes away from historic and vibrant downtown Flagstaff where they can enjoy unique shops, local breweries, and a thriving art community.

lanner/coordinator so I didn’t have to worry too much about that. The bridal suite is very nice and large. The ceremony site was gorgeous and our pictures came out exactly how we envisioned them due to this! It helps that we had absolutely perfect weather, but even if we hadn’t I know it would have been beautiful.

different ceremony and reception sites for different styles. Our ceremony was supposed to be completely outside and our reception was inside. It was pretty cold and they were very accommodating and were able to change the ceremony to be partially inside to make our guests more comfortable. Their food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. It had an upscale country club type of vibe while still having all the beautiful Flagstaff scenery. It was a really nice blend of rustic and elegant which is exactly what we were looking for. We don’t live in Arizona and when we only had a 1-2 day slot to do our tasting in July, they were able to squeeze us in even though they were having a large golf tournament. They were very accommodating through the whole planning process. Overall, we’re very happy we chose Forest Highlands and our guests had a great time.

orest Highlands Meadow Clubhouse, and everything went PERFECTLY. We got married on the event lawn, had cocktail hour on the patio, and had our reception inside the dining room. Karen, the venue coordinator, is incredibly responsive and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect day. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. We had so many guests tell us that it was the coolest spot for a wedding. We also had a kid's room in the Meadow Recreation Room, and Karen arranged for sitters and for kids meals to be served in that room. My parents also had brunch the next day at the Canyon Clubhouse, and Karen and her team took all of the flowers and decor from the wedding and re-purposed them for decorations that morning without us even asking. It looked great! Getting married at FH was so fun and so special.

communication and even that was tough at times. We had decided to do without a champagne toast and told that to the coordinator. Seconds after our best man finished his speech, the coordinator came to my husband and told him that since we jumped the gun and did our toasts so quickly, they didn't have time to pass out the champagne so we wouldn't be charged for it. How thoughtful.
The day before, my husband helped Taylor, an amazing assistant, set-up the reception room. However, that afternoon at the ceremony site, no one seemed to know who we were or where we were supposed to be. Andrew, the most amazing intern, managed to turn my tears into laughter and helped us through the rehearsal outside. I 100% believe that our experience would have been completely negative without these two people.
The biggest issue we had was that we were told there was a second room we could use in the event of rain. (Knowing Flagstaff, that really sold us on this site.) Fast-forward a year, it's cloudy, cold, and rainy. As we were in the locker rooms getting ready, I was told that the room they promised us was booked and that we'd have to use our reception site if we wanted to move the ceremony inside.
Overall, a beautiful place, but they really need to work on their communication and coordination.
