Forest Lake Camp

Forest Lake Camp was the perfect venue for our wedding. It checked all of our boxes: ceremony site in an impressive natural setting, on-site lodging for guests, lots of activities for guests to enjoy, and the option to add-on a 3rd night. We wanted a non-traditional wedding that was more of a weekend-long celebration, and it was clear from our tour that FLC would fit the bill! Guests were prepared that the accommodations are truly summer camp cabins (twin beds, no A/C, etc.), but everyone had a blast staying on-site all weekend and pretending to be kids again. We opted for a 3rd night, which meant our guests were able to enjoy a fun day of camp activities all-day Friday, including a round of Color Wars and a full afternoon down at the camp’s beautiful lake. The lake has kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards—and the camp had the fun idea of hosting a boat-building competition which was a weekend highlight.  We can’t say enough about how incredible the camp’s Chapel Lookout is for a ceremony site—guests said it was the most breathtaking ceremony site they’d ever seen. This, and some other aspects of the camp, are weather-dependent, so just keep that in mind. However, there’s a local tent company that can cover the Mess Hall patio for a reasonable price. There’s also a covered pavilion that can function as a rain plan. The Mess Hall (and its patio) is beautiful and an incredible convening point for meals and evening events. Guests loved being able to play corn hole and other lawn games during evening events. We also loved that the camp has an ‘afterparty pavilion’ where we enjoyed a campfire every night, and space for beer pong, lawn games, and hanging out (with no curfew). The camp brings down leftover beers from dinner which is awesome! We were blown away by how beautiful our Mess Hall reception space looked—and the camp does a fun ‘reveal’ of the space that wowed the guests! Finally, the food at camp is amazing—guests kept coming up to us all weekend raving about the food.  The chef (Kelli) does a great job working with couples on their vision and preferences—in our case, we opted for a fully vegetarian wedding dinner and she killed it. FLC staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a seamless and memorable weekend. We can highly recommend FLC, and only wish we could re-live the weekend all over again.

We wanted a wedding weekend where we could be surrounded by friends and family from all over the world that was filled with quality time and lots of fun.. and that's exactly what we got. Our guests had so much fun playing pickleball, kickball, kayaking in the lake, doing archery... all before the cermony & reception! The ceremony location is unbeatable and the food was delicious.
