Formal Rumors was without a doubt one of the easiest decisions I made during my wedding planning process. I found Sarah from a friend from high school sharing her "Best of The Knot" recognition, and I immediately reached out. From there, the communication was always so open and welcoming. I was married on May 2, 2020, right smack dab in the middle of the COVID-19 lock down in Ohio. Sarah still showed up on our big day to make sure I had the dreamy Rapunzel hair that I had been envisioning. She made sure I was comfortable, and leading up to the wedding was always checking on me just to see how I was DOING. She didn't check in to see how the wedding and everything going on would effect HER, but genuinely how I was doing with all of the changes that COVID made. Sarah is personable, professional, and one of the most sincere people I've met. Choosing Formal Rumors is a no brainer!

Sarah did a wonderful job with our hair. I will update with pictures once I get them, but she did a great job with multiple hair types and lengths! Definitely recommend!

Sarah was great! She took her time with each girl and made sure we were all happy before she exited. If we wanted to make changes to anything she was very accommodating only wanted to make us happy.

Sarah and the makeup artist who worked with her, Dena were both so amazing! They made sure everything was exactly as I imagined and made my vision come to life! All of my bridesmaids absolutely loved their hair and makeup. Can’t recommend Formal Rumors enough!

If I could share all the positives to Sarah and her services, it would exceed the 3,500 word limit. To put it simply: she was the best decision I made with vendors on my big day. She came early, was efficient with each hairstyle, was extremely pleasant to have around during prep time, and she made sure everyone was happy with their hair. Sarah is the easiest and greatest to work with. She truly takes the time during the consultation to make sure you are extremely happy. Although I didn’t have to change a thing about our trial do she was more than willing to discuss or make any changes I might want. My hair lasted through the wedding and even after sleeping on it. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She worked with us through all the last minute changes and made our whole experience not just the hair absolutely amazing

I was so impressed with Sarah! With all the hair we needed done on our short time frame, I figured we’d need an extra person to come help her curl. She showed up and SLAYED. She got everyone’s hair done on time, I couldn’t believe it! And my hair held up beautifully, I was convinced it would fall out at some point but I was able to dance my heart out and still look amazing at the end of the night. I loved how she took all my feedback during the trial to finally get what I wanted - I’m never picky and she encouraged me! Cant thank Sarah enough for helping me!!

Sarah has been a good friend of mine and my husband's for quite some time, so there was no doubt in my mind when I got engaged that I would be booking her for my wedding. Not only is Sarah one of the most talented stylists I've ever encountered, but she is also one of the most genuine people I know! I was an indecisive bride, and she worked with me time and time again to make sure I was happy. I mean, who does that?! Someone that truly cares about her client's happiness. The day of, she was prompt and started her magic. My girls were indecisive too- a lot of "I don't care, do whatever you think looks good." And she did just that! Each of my girls looked amazing and their hair lasted well into the night (well over 12 hours). I have never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day and I have to thank Sarah for that. My friend got married last year and used formal rumors and I instantly booked after this! Sarah is amazing at what she does and is willing to do everything & anything to make your day fantastic! I got so many compliments on my hair the day of, as well as compliments on bridesmaids hair. Can not express enough how fantastic formal rumors is!

I cannot suggest Sarah enough. I could brag about her professionalism, style, talent and love all day long! She treated me as if I were her best friend through the entire process. She even began with highlighting my hair perfectly before our trial, and even let me borrow her own hair extensions on the big day - they matched perfectly btw. Sarah is exactly who you want by your side throughout the wedding process!! For my trial run, she re-did my hair several times until I was more than happy with my hair and in love with the overall look! Sarah stays focused on making sure you are completely satisfied, and if there is anything you are unsure about, she will do everything can to change that! She is also so much fun to have around and always keeps you laughing. Sarah is punctual, incredibly outgoing and friendly, and works like a wizard! On our wedding day, she made everyone look great and was done way ahead of schedule. She even came back to make sure everyone was still happy with their hair and made some last minute adjustments! Sarah is definitely who you want by your side on your wedding day!!

Sarah!! Thank you soooo much for styling our hair for the wedding. Everyone looked amazing! You were so sweet and easy to work with, and above all, you took the theme seriously! I hired Sarah a month after we got engaged in 2018 and she practiced, asked for my feedback, and gave me not one but THREE trials, one of which she allowed me to use on my bridesmaid, just to perfect the 20s styles for my special day. 💗 So many great things to say, I can’t say thank you enough. 😌😌

Sarah Reed was my hairstylist for my wedding and she did amazing work! She went above and beyond to make sure I was 100% satisfied at all times and all of my bridesmaids were happy with the way their hair turned out as well! She had great attention to detail, was very punctual and thorough, and most of all is very good at what she does! I would recommend to anyone!

Sarah went above and beyond! She did mine as well as 6 of my bridesmaids. We could not have asked for anything better. Wow I am so happy I found Sarah with Formal Rumors! She is so sweet and CRAZY TALENTED when it comes to hair. My mom and I did a hair trial with Sarah about a month out from my wedding and it was so much fun! On our big day my hair looked even better than it did at the trial! I got sooo many compliments on my style! Did I mention she let me borrow/use her extensions? What other hair stylist would do that?! Her genuine personality and kindness seriously blows me away. Sarah was amazing! I don’t trust anyone else with my hair so I definitely wasn’t going to trust anyone else for my wedding. Sarah helped bring my whole look together. Throughout the night everyone kept saying how perfect and amazing my hair was! Even when I show people pictures weeks later, they can’t believe how perfect my hair was! Sarah arrived early and her enthusiasm and energy got us excited early in the morning. She made sure all the bridesmaids felt confident with their look and was more than happy to make any changes we asked for. Once we were all ready and it was time for us to go take pictures, Sarah made sure to do a last minute check-in with everyone and even left us with some hair spray just in case. Sarah did an absolutely amazing job on all the hairstyles for my wedding! All of my bridesmaids loved their hair - which she made sure to have each bridesmaids personal style shine through their hairstyles. I even had a semi-crisis with my hair just weeks before my wedding, and Sarah was beyond helpful! I felt so great about hiring Sarah because I didn’t have to worry about a thing!!! Sarah is awesome! She styled my hair along with a few bridesmaids and family members. She arrived early to set up and finished with some time to spare. I have naturally curly, frizzy hair that I wanted to wear half up, so I was worried about how my hair would hold up in the July heat and humidity. Sarah used some great products and my hair looked amazing all night, even after taking outdoor photos. She was so nice and accommodating. My grandmother had her hair styled by a different stylist at a salon before meeting up with the bridal party. She was unhappy with how it turned out, so Sarah offered to fix it by adding some curls free of charge which I thought was super sweet. I definitely recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a wedding hair stylist!

Sarah Reed is absolutely amazing and the sweetest. I had no clue what I wanted to do to my hair for my wedding or the wedding party and had no clue to where to begin. With the help of the knot I found this amazing person who worked with me and helped me get my hair and all my bridesmaids hairs looking amazing. She is extremely good at what she does and will not let you go till it has been approved not only by the bride but also by the person whose hair is getting done. Sarah Reed Durbin styled my hair this past Saturday for one of my good friends weddings. She did such a great job on me as a bridesmaid that it made me feel like a million bucks. Most of the time it’s about the bride but Sarah really listened and tried to capture my style as well has appease the brides needs. She did so well and was willing to fix something we thought was off. She’s a great stylist!

Sarah is AMAZING!! we had 10 girls get their hair done including myself for a wedding and got it knocked out super fast!! Sarah goes OVER AND BEYOND in her services. she colored my hair the Sunday before the wedding which was beautiful. She offered to stay behind to help with anything she could. she left behind hair spray,Bobby pins, and even lip gloss for me. After pictures , she was made available to curl the pieces BEFORE going into the ceremony!! I cannot rave about her enough!! you're crazy if you do not use formal rumors for special occasions/color. all my girls were beyond happy and hair lasted all night. Thank you so much!! you made my day amazing. she is professional and personable!

Sarah is AMAZING! She is very easy going and personable which made me very relaxed going into the big day. My bridesmaids loved their hair and I received so many compliments on mine. She does fantastic work and is so talented at what she does. If you are looking into getting a spray tan before the wedding as well, I highly suggest going to her!

Sarah did an amazing job on mine and my daughter's hair for my wedding. She did exactly what we wanted and then some. We loved her so much that she is doing our hair for my reception in a few weeks. Loved the wedding hair experience! I cannot express how easy it was to work with Sarah with Formal Rumors for planning the hair styling for my wedding. In what I thought was going to be complicated and stressful, she made the experience so FUN! She was prompt and easy to reach. I appreciated that she traveled to me for my trial in addition to the day of the wedding. She made it known that she would not be done until everyone was pleased with their style. Needless to say, we were all happy. That was 9 people! I highly recommend Sarah to anyone who is looking for a responsible, easy to work with stylist, who is thoughtful in her work, and so much fun!

I chose Sarah for my wedding and i had a huge party of 12 girls, on top of that she did an emergency hair cut on my husband in between hair styles. she was calm and amazing to be around through out the day. She arrived on time and was very understanding to any hiccup we had! Everyone looked amazing and not one of my girls had a complaint about their hair! I highly recommend Sarah, the quality she provides is definitely worth the price!

Sarah did my hair for a wedding that I was in, and I can’t even describe how amazing my hair looked! I absolutely loved it and got nothing but compliments all evening over it! I personally think it looked better than the bride’s hair(she went somewhere else)! Sarah is very fun and professional, and I’ll never get my hair done by anyone else, especially for formal events!

Sarah is amazing! My wedding hair turned out exactly how I wanted it to. Before my big day, I scheduled a "trial run" appointment so I could try several hairstyles and pick which one I liked best. This trial run appointment helped decrease my stress and anxiety big time on my wedding day because I already knew what my hair was going to look like! Not only is Sarah's hair skills amazing, her personality is too! She is fun, sassy, and very personable. She even went to the store after fixing my wedding hair to buy me a toothbrush because I forgot to pack mine (oops)!
