nhappy with what you received based on your expectation of what our contract provides you with. Correct? You are not suggesting that your wedding was ruined, or even that the services were not rendered? Correct? You did get married here and our services facilitated that, you would agree? I didn’t read anything in here that suggests you had a bad time or were made unable to enjoy your wedding at the fault of our team here? Correct? You are just very concerned you paid too much for what you received or how it was given to you? Correct? Regarding your concerns which I have already spoken privately with you about, I am happy to discuss this again with you in this public way, but I’ll admit I am beginning to loose my patience with you. We have nothing to hide. I am proud of our prices, services, and how it’s done here. Couples love their weddings with us. Your group is literally our only negative review. As the leader of the services my role at the venue is expansive. I wear many hats. However I do not wear them at the same time. I can do things like load in alcohol and close down events, because the DJ isn’t playing music at those times. Those jobs are not done during the reception while I DJ the event. One of the reasons our packages are so affordable and so attractive to couples is because I am very efficient at executing weddings here. More staff means more expensive weddings. And despite the effort you are making to mislead here I don’t run the weddings by myself, you did have a team at your wedding. My bartender, the catering staff, photographer….. including me that’s 6 people to run your wedding. That is plenty for your group of 100 or so. Had you held your ceremony at our venue instead of off site at a church I would have provided an additional staff person to carry out those additional ceremony tasks. You opted out of having your ceremony with us thus eliminating the need for us to have a 7th person staffing your wedding. In addition to the front of house staff you can see, we also have staff on call minutes away for any onsite emergencies. No matter how many people I staff at your wedding you’ll still need to request paper towel if you run out. Since we have 5 bathrooms with a total of 7 toilets spread throughout the lodge it’s hard to know if one runs out. Which is why signs are posted to notify staff if refills are needed. No request for a refill was made. I have never in my years seen a customer in any situation demand a monetary reimbursement because a bathroom wasn’t adequately stocked! Try this approach at Walmart or your bank branch and see where that gets you. Like so much of the issues here you did not ask for assistance with load in of your alcohol. If you all decided to walk it inside yourself then good for you. We don’t have butlers and chauffeurs on standby to unload your cars anytime you want. This is a Christmas Tree Farm Wedding Venue. This is not the Ritz Carlton. Our contract doesn’t require the couple/family to clean the venue at the end of the night. Clients are not asked to mop, take out the trash, clean toilets, or any of the jobs that would be considered cleaning. However, at the end of the night the family doesn't just leave all their stuff and go. They must clear the tables of all decor, load out all decor and belongings, and put the borrowed decor back. All weddings have people in the family, wedding party, and guests who stay after the wedding to pick up their things and load out. While you are doing that…. I am cleaning up after ya’ll. If people in your group happened to be kind and thoughtful and participate in throwing drink cups and cake plates into the trash as I walk by, then thank you to them. I assure you that cleaning the venue is considerably more involved than that. Every family has work to do when a wedding is over, our contract spells this out crystal clear. I am sorry your free inclusive linens arrived slightly behind schedule. Luckily we have several sets of back up linens in the event a shipment is ever lost (hasn’t happened yet). I drove out across town to intercept the UPS truck and personally delivered them to you causing no delay what so ever for the events you had planned on Friday. In the end you got the linens you wanted, you decorated the day before in your scheduled time, and you declined to accept more time for slight inconvenience the delay may have caused you. Lastly…. I am sorry that you have regrets going with our Summit package vs The Base Camp Package. Base Camp may have saved you some money(It’s GREAT that way), but it would not have come with day before decorating, bar services, linens, or DJ services which are all things you used and seem to care about. It would have been my pleasure serving you with either package. They are both my packages. I can’t help you having buyers remorse on this matter after the fact. You paid for the wedding you got. You can’t have taken our Summit Wedding and then turn around and demand the Base Camp price. If all you were asking for was a sincere apology for your experience with me and a $90 refund for the one thing you didn’t get, that likely would have happened. I am not perfect and never have claimed to be. I have done everything I could do to address your concerns before, during, and now after your wedding. Your demand to have a $1,500 refund on your wedding was denied. You signed the contract…. It’s all in there… including no refunds. You launching a campaign of negativity leaving 6-12 negative reviews tells me everything I need to know about you and your family. Let me tell you something…. about this family that you are trying to extort, we are not intimidated by you or afraid of the things you’re saying. You can’t stop this train from booking weddings and whistling love songs. Our venue is amazing and our pricing is amazing. The job we do is amazing.
