I arrived at the bridal faire and began walking the aisles. When I came across Lauriana & Lonnie's booth I had seen over 20 other photographers but as soon as I saw their work my heart started to beat faster and I knew they were exactly what I had wanted! Every single one of their photos has such a magical appeal and manages to capture the love of every couple they shoot. I went home and could not stop talking to my fiancé about their work. When I started to show him their website he too knew they were what we were looking for. We decided to cancel our photos with the other photographer and set a meeting with them. Lauriana & Lonnie were so professional and really wanted to get to know us as a "couple" so that the day of our shoot was comfortable for both of us. I can't begin to explain how amazing our photos turned out... many people have made comments about how they look like "a magazine shoot". I am so happy with how they turned out I could not stop looking at them for a month after we got them. Being that we picked a destination wedding I started to feel uneasy that our wedding photos would not be anything as near as beautiful as the photos Lauriana & Lonnie had done for us. For months after I would secretly dream about if Fortuna Photography would be able to shoot our wedding. Well, miracles do happen! Lauriana & Lonnie were able to make our destination wedding and I have to honestly say our wedding would not have been the same without them. with a nice meet'n'greet lunch overlooking our local airport. Immediately we could see real professionals devoted to making our engagement photos and big day soooo memorable. Our engagement photos were going to be our only shoot with Fortuna Photography. We were set to have a destination wedding & had arrangements made for an on-site photography, which was included with our destination package. Seeing their example photos of others in the beginning (when we decided first to go with them for our engagement photos) made us excited to have them. But after seeing our engagement photos... that went right out the window. We scrapped the package & were so happy when Lauriana & Lonnie were able to shoot our destination wedding. Choosing Fortuna Photography was one of the smartest decisions we made in our wedding. We have the best pictures we could ever imagine. They have our highest recommendation.

What's left, thankfully, is a deeper love than you ever imagined for your new spouse and also, regrettably, a harsh realization that time didn't slow, not even for the most special event of your life thus far. Additionally, their presence was an unexpected comfort. Lauriana was more than a photographer to me. There were a couple moments where she was the only one to "read" me and with her calm, graceful demeanor responded in exactly the way I needed but would not have otherwise asked for. Yet, she and Lonnie both were so discrete and stealth-like at the same time. They were there, but they weren't...a difficult balance to strike in their role. Lauriana was SO WONDERFUL to work with. She somehow managed to take me and my husband - two of the most awkward people in front of a camera – and create something magical. We used Fortuna Photography for both our engagement pictures and our wedding, and I was completely blown away with how gorgeous everything came out. We felt totally at ease with her, even though taking pictures (in public places) is possibly one of the more awkward experiences in life. When doing our research, I was shocked by how much photography could cost, but Fortuna Photography's work rivals some of the best in the business. o, we clicked immediately and I gave them my deposit. Our engagement pictures are flawless and they had no problem including our son. Lauriana made my husband comfortable, and he's a guy who hates pictures! They made us feel like royalty on our wedding day, and all of our friends and family loved them as well. Even though we were running behind, Lauriana was totally calm and comforting, focusing on what we were able to do instead of what we lost the time to do. nt shoot. Lauriana is not hard to get a hold of (although she is a busy mom!) she always manages to get back to you, which makes life easier for busy brides. For our e-shoot, we decided to drive all the way down to La Jolla in SD for our pictures on the beach, but we didn't get enough because it quickly got dark after taking us about 3 hours to arrive because of traffic. Lauriana was 100% honest with us and worked with us to arrange for another e-shoot (who does this?!) because this one was not 'at the standard that they hold themselves to'. Absolutely mind-blowing how helpful they both are! And not to mention, FUN! Incredibly artistic and talented and they really take the time to get to know their couples and actually create a friendship rather than just the typical vendor-client interaction. My cousin got married before me and she also used Fortuna Photography. Their work is stunning and they make ordinary every-day people look gorgeous through their artistic abilities. Our pictures for both our e-shoot and wedding came out drop-dead gorgeous and people have not stopped raving about them. My husband and I are extremely happy that we went with Fortuna Photography! I would recommend them to everyone. I will be honest in saying that we spent the most money on our photographers than any other vendor (not including venues) but so definitely worth it. Pictures are what you take away from your wedding day and Lauriana and Lonnie retell your story through their pictures. I would do it all over again because of them. They even helped us with little details and scheduling all throughout our wedding day. Definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone! :)

so tell a story of the day. We met with the two photographers, the cutest wife and husband pair I've ever met, and beyond being extremely talented - they are the type of people that you want to be friends with. They not only spent the whole day with us during the wedding they even stayed late to do the time consuming night photos we wanted. We did a very small and intimate wedding at a estate that we rented. We decided that we would coordinate the whole wedding ourselves and without Lauriana and Lonnie's (the photographers) help we wouldn't have been able to pull it off. They not only dealt with the our families, they coordinated the hair and make-up women, the bridesmaid and even had time to help my, now, husband sort out floral details. Literally without them, I'm not sure anything that day would have turned out as we hoped. Now that I've talked about the AMAZING customer service. I must talk about their photography!! I am pretty awkward when it comes to taking photos! They not only coached me to make sure I had the glamorous shots that every bride wants but they also caught all the great moments (for example when my puppy just happened to walk up to give me a lick in my dress) and the intimate moments of reveals. The photos themselves came out so beautifully. They also put together an amazing slide show that told the story of the whole day. I honestly cannot even begin to express how much they went above and beyond. We will be using them for every significant life event from now on if that is an indicator of how fantastic they are!

ristmas photos, then my cousins engagement and wedding. We recommend them to EVERYONE we know because of how amazing and unique their quality and service is. For one thing, they are the sweetest, friendliest, and most fun couple out there - we were laughing the whole time we were with them! They are very personalized and go out for dinner with us just to talk about our dreams for the big day. Not only that, they went above and beyond anything we could've ever expected. Here are some examples : For our e-shoot, they put together all these adorable props for our pictures, things we didn't even ask for, but made the pictures absolutely perfect. They drove 30 mins across town to get us adorable cupcakes just to make the pictures that much cuter. She brought extra clothes and scarves just in case I needed anything and made adorable signs and props. Not only that, they bent over backwards and got us a sailboat - yes a sailboat - for our shoot. They hauled it on a truck in the middle of a roadless, wheat field and brought a ladder so they can get some great shots. Something else that is unique to them - they print your engagement pictures on beautiful pearly paper to give to your guests at the wedding as a little favor - and the back of the card has their information on it. I was introducing a newly engaged couple to them at my cousins wedding, and when they asked for a business card, Lauriana pulled out a picture of the bride and groom - very neat!! On my wedding day, not only did they act as photographers, but like personal assistants - anything I needed it, Lauriana was one step ahead of me and on it. Sam and I didn't know how to cut our cake, and she was right there walking us through it. My cousin had a terrible DJ at their wedding, who butchered the schedule and activities for the night, and Lauriana jumped in to get the schedule put back together, and communicated back and forth to make sure the party didn't fall apart - she basically ended up helping coordinate the rest of the evening. But that is what sets her and Lonnie apart - they go above and beyond and do everything with excellence, even if it's "not their job". They are always the first to make sure the bride and groom are not only getting good pictures, but are having the time of their life. This couple works very well together and they are amazing to work with. They are very easy to communicate with and make everything fun, especially when wedding time can get a little crazy. They got pictures back to us very quickly, and they came out absolutely stunning with great quality. I remember we did our engagement shoot a few days before thanksgiving and Lauriana told us to bare with her as there was a holiday coming up - I was surprised she got me the pictures so quickly - it was a matter of weeks! I can go on and on about them, but I hope this gives you a little idea about how amazing they truly are. And they were very reasonably priced and worked with us on our budget. You don't find people like them everyday, folks!

Our package included an engagement shoot, an engagement photo book, the wedding shoot, and a beautiful wedding photo book.

So much detail and just amazing work - they're photo journalists so they capture real and authentic moments - they are willing to work with you on the budget - better than any photographer I have checked out on the knot - they not only take the role as photographers, but Lauriana was there for every moment of the big day...she even walked me and Sam through how to cut our cake! - they will meet up with you for lunch, dinner, or coffee to talk about your big day - I received my pictures within a matter of weeks - pictures are absolutely beautiful and professional -they are so much fun to work with and I guarantee you will be laughing a lot!!! I highly recommend not even wasting your time looking for another photographer... You can do all the research in the world, and still find that Fortuna is the best. We hired her for our wedding and there was not one negative thing I could say about her or her husband.
