Fortunata Winery

We hosted our daughter’s wedding ceremony and reception at Fortunata and we definitely can recommend it for others! Jeannette Cristales is the event coordinator there and she is very experienced at planning and executing weddings. We booked the October wedding more than a year in advance, and it all came together beautifully. There were many great menu options for the cocktail hour and meal. The food was really great! We especially enjoyed the Tuscan aesthetic of Fortunata and the quaint chapel on the property. They have villas around the property for Airbnb rentals so that made it very convenient for family members and the wedding party to stay on property. It almost goes without saying that their wine selection is really wonderful and the berry sangria is to die for. Because of the size of the venue spaces, they are limited in capacity to around 50-60 people, and that was the perfect size for the intimate wedding we were seeking. We were also pleasantly surprised at the affordability of Fortunata compared to other nearby venues. Their restaurant and patio area do remain open to the public during venue events, and we knew that when we scheduled the wedding there. For people looking for a venue that gives weddings exclusive use of the property, Fortunata may not be a good fit. But there were only a few minutes during our reception speeches where we could hear their live band playing across the property. We would definitely host a wedding there if we had to do it all over again!

Fortunata Winery was a lovely venue for our rehearsal dinner. We used the pavilion for our party of 80. The food was delicious, and the wine was very good! Jeanette Cristales was our event coordinator, and she worked hard to accommodate all that we needed. She was a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend this place!

We chose Fortunata Winery as our wedding venue after meeting with Jeanette because the venue was perfect for our intimate wedding ceremony and rehearsal. Jeanette was very helpful with any and all of my questions as well as setting up the venue. The food was absolutely delicious! The on-site villas made the wedding so special by having the out of town guests close by for the ceremony and getting ready for the ceremony easy.

I was so disappointed on the lack of coordination for my son's wedding dinner reception. We were notified 2 1/2 weeks by Jeanette, who is the winery event coordinator that she was not going to be available on April 14 for our reception due to a family situation that was out of town. She said that Jackie, would be there, to coordinate the event, she assured me, and told me not to worry, the timeline we had discussed for the dinner and wedding ceremony would go as planned. Shari, the owner was also aware that Jackie would be the one to oversee the timeline and service. The day of the event I arrived about 4:30 to assist my son and now daughter in-law with last minutes decorations. I was told Jackie was running late and planning to arrive at 5:30. Our dinner reception was to start at 6:00 outside in the courtyard. There were two workers setting the tables, I had to pull about 4 chairs out and ask them to please clean the chairs since those chairs had bird droppings on them. Six o'clock came and Jackie never arrived and if she did arrive to the winery, we did not see her. Our 65 guests had started to arrive. About 6:15, I had to go ask a staff member that was working inside to please come outside and start serving the wine, then when the 2 staff members started serving the food, the guests were serving themselves the wine since there was no staff member to serve the wine. Dessert was set out at the same time as the dinner, which I had gone over with Jeannete that dessert was going to be after the wedding ceremony. These complaints seem small but when you add everything up and the cost of the service you are paying for, it was just wrong to leave us without an event coordinator, or someone that could have run things. I do want to recognize Ms. Vickie, who went above and beyond to help us, from my understanding she is one of the staff helpers. I, my son, and now daughter-in-law had to work hard to try and make the situation as best we could, it was not fair that we had to worry about these things on my son's wedding reception when the expectation was that it was taken care of. I had sent a text to the Sheri, the owner, that we did not get the coordinator services for our reception and had to swing it ourselves. We are yet to receive a call with an apology. I wanted to make sure and give some positives- our guests enjoyed the food and wine (once it was served). The chapel was a lovely place to have an intimate wedding ceremony.

We used Fortunata winery in Providence Village Texas for our rehearsal dinner for our son and new daughter in law last weekend and it was absolutely amazing! Jeanette, the coordinator went above and beyond setting up a beautiful area and ensuring that everything was perfect. The food, wine and pavilion worked out perfectly. Had hoped to have it in the beautiful stone courtyard but due to the cold we ended up in the pavilion but it actually worked out perfectly! The place makes you feel like you’re in Italy and we couldn’t recommend it more. Also got so many compliments from our guests. Highly recommend for any event

Held my wedding here, and the coordinator Jeannette helped everything run smoothly and go off without a hitch in spite of a huge thunderstorm on the day of. Can't recommend this place enough!

We planned our wedding a year in advance to be at Fortunata Winery. Booked all of the villas + houses on site for friends and family who traveled from distant places. Jeanette took notes, was attentive and met with us throughout our timeline to get all of the details set for our big day. I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful wedding. The ceremony was held outside under the beautiful shade of trees and in front of the chapel with incredible photo ops. Reception was held in the winery (also an outdoor area- so perfect for October), and food was served buffet style for everyone to enjoy at their own leisure. Sangria, champagne and wine were served. Music was not an issue because Jeanette allowed us to use a great speaker and play whatever we wanted! I couldn’t recommend this place more for an event, wedding or even just dinner when they’re opened on the weekends. 10-stars!!

I just had my wedding in June 4th. I honestly had the perfect wedding and the events coordinator at the winery, Jeannette Cristales was amazing from keeping the communication open, to listening to what I wanted and and trying to make my dream wedding. She and everyone at the venue working on my wedding was amazing. Starting from helping decorate the way I wanted and giving me suggestions, to be very attentive during the ceremony and reception. Always making sure everyone at the wedding had what they wanted. The food was great and even though it was buffet style it was done in an organized and well planned way. This was my dream wedding. This is the perfect venue for a small intimate wedding I highly recommend it.

Choosing this place for a wedding venue was a big mistake. Jeanette the wedding coordinator doesn't know if she is coming or going. We booked my daughters wedding here October 16th. One week later Jeanette calls me to tell me they have a conflict for the wedding on October 16th. She explained another event was scheduled for that weekend but was not on the calendar yet. So then we move the date to September 25th. Again, 2 weeks later Jeanette calls me and tells me they double booked weddings that day. My daughter was in tears. We had everything planned for the wedding for that day and all of it for nothing. Weddings are hard enough to plan and manage but when you have the vendor so careless about dates it's very sad. I will have nothing to do with this place. Moving on and I recommend you do the same.

Breathtaking location!!! So beautiful and relaxing ! Great place to get away for a honeymoon too!! The staff was super friendly.

We can not say enough great things about this place! The location is beautiful, the wine is amazing and the staff is outstanding!! The villas are adorable as well! Will go back for a weekend getaway!!
