I had a destination wedding, so most of the planning was done via phone call or email, but they made sure all of my questions were answered and my vision became reality. Krystal also offered great ideas/recommendations when I asked. I only had a limited time I would be in the area prior to the wedding, and Krystal made sure I was able to get everything done in a short time frame. I also had so many compliments on the food for the reception- I lost count on how many people said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! I wouldn’t change a thing about the reception and would recommend Fortune Bay to anyone getting married in Tower, MN.

ut do to really bad weather, the night before we decided to move it inside the ballroom. Krystal was such a wonderful help, making sure everything still turned out perfect. The food was AMAZING. Our guests still talk about how much they loved the food. Krystal was so easy to work with, as we live 4 hours away but she made everything easy to do via email/phone. It was such a personable experience, I would do it over and over again in a heart beat.

Every detail that even an over-organized bride like me forgot to think of was thought out for us and handled. We didn’t realize until after it was all over how much of a difference choosing Fortune Bay as our venue made in making it a fun and memorable weekend. We chose to arrive early for our wedding weekend. The guys golfed and girls spent a spa day in ely. The staff and my decorator handled getting everything at the resort wedding ready while we relaxed. My husband and I stayed in one of the executive suites and it was a perfect location for getting ready before the ceremony. There were so many good indoor and outdoor photography backdrops, our pictures turned out amazing. The ballroom was perfect for hosting our 300 guests and the staff that served our guests were so nice and attentive. And many of our guests loved that they could stay and play at the casino and enjoyed having the flexibility to stop in their rooms or play slots in the casino throughout our wedding night. Even our wedding party continued our fun in the casino after our reception ended. Lastly, we researched many different northern Minnesota venues and Fortune Bay by far had the best price tag for all it had to offer in services. I can’t say enough positive things about our experience. Wedding planning is not a stress free experience but I can honestly say when it came to any detail that involved Fortune Bay, I had zero worries because I knew it was all being handled with the care a wedding day needs. If you’re looking for an all in one wedding weekend location, look no further.

oom to the Ballroom, moving us girls into thr Sumac Room to get ready and help myself (the bride) apply eyelashes and hide behind a sheet down by the ceremony, re organizing our wants for set-up. The staff was pleasant also, waitressing and bartending along with the front desk staff. We chose our food blindly and hoped for the best--the food was amazing! We had beef tips and chicken piccata-we highly recommend again. They even escorted us by shuttle to go from hotel to ceremony to hotel again--it was a warm day, let us drink anywhere we were (even on the no alcohol bus). My guests and myself were all comfotable and pleased to say the least. Very thorough details to make sure everyone is under the same page.
