My Story
It all started as a favor for a friend. I played college baseball in Denver and after college I had a close friend and teammate who wanted me to marry him and his wife in a small outdoor ceremony in California. I was working as a pastor and baseball and softball coach, but have never performed a wedding. Through weeks of preparation and practice, the wedding went off without a hitch and they are still married to this day. Fast forward to today, I continue to perform weddings for religious and non-religious couples alike. I love seeing two people come together as one and want to make your ceremony as stress-free and painless as possible!

He services a variety of wedding events such as non-religious occasions, vow renewal ceremonies, interfaith events, and more. In addition to pre-marital counseling sessions, he is willing to assist with the writing of your wedding vows if you so desire. We are so glad we booked Jake to be our officiant! He was so helpful with giving advice and guiding our decisions for our ceremony, and the ceremony was so perfect! We loved how he personalized it to tell our story and include elements that were important to us. We've had so many guests compliment him and the ceremony! We definitely recommend Jake!

We found Jake here on The Knot. We felt like we knew Jake after the first meeting! He was very professional from the get go and we could tell he had done hundreds of ceremonies and really cared about what WE wanted in a ceremony! As far as planning he had great questions and was able to suggest things or caution us against things as we planned. He was a pro at the rehearsal ceremony and was able to walk every person through what they should be doing at what time. He worked great with our day of coordinator and DJ the day of. He mentioned at our first meeting his goal is to have people ask us or him how he know the couple and even though we didn’t know him we had many guests ask how we knew him or complimented him on a great job. We highly recommend Jake for any type of ceremony.

Jake with Four Corners Weddings was absolutely perfect in creating the ceremony of our dreams for our Wedding Day!
My now husband and I met with Jake twice before the Wedding, and he perfectly captured our story, our special moments, and everything we held dear in sharing on our day.
We received so many positive comments about our Ceremony from our guests, and could not agree with them more. He was able to highlight the importance of marriage, let us have the time to share our vows, all the while honoring those who were surrounding us!

Jake did an incredible job with our wedding. From the very beginning, he was receptive in answering our questions and providing suggestions. He met with us in person and virtually to complete our planning and marriage prep. He took our vision and turned it into something better than I could have imagined and made our ceremony personal for us. I highly recommend him for your officiant needs!!

Jake was a great choice to officiate our wedding! He spent time getting to know us as a couple and understanding what we wanted our wedding day to look like. He was responsive and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. He was organized and efficient for the rehearsal, and timely and prepared on the wedding day!

We loved working with Jake. He is very professional and really helped take the lead at our rehearsal. He was very responsive with us over email and gave a detailed ceremony timeline. He made the ceremony really personal, but also recognized the religious aspects we wanted. We have an interfaith relationship, so he spoke about God, while also respecting the Jewish parts of the ceremony. We really recommend his couples counseling as well!

Jake was exactly what we were looking for. He officiated our wedding at The Ritz Carlton and was so flexible to accommodate everything we wanted from the ceremony to the attire! Jake made our premarital counseling sessions fun and interactive, he managed our rehearsal very well and did an amazing job officiating the ceremony itself - he made it personal and special to us as a couple. We highly recommend him!

Jake was absolutely amazing to work with. He came into our planning process prepared and ready to make our big moment better than we could have ever imagined. He took our ideas and our timeline and utilized his experience to give us feedback and help us make the most memorable and beautiful ceremony we could have never done on our own. He ran our entire rehearsal and made sure that everyone understood their role in such an organized and tactful way. Jake was 100% professional with every single interaction and is amazing at what he does. There is absolutely no way our day could have been a success without him and we are so grateful that we chose Four Corners Weddings.

Jake was so wonderful to work with. Our first meeting with him, he was very easy to get along with and very accommodating. He offered suggestions and never once pushed us into anything we didn't want to do. He always made it clear it was about us. Jake made the entire process of creating the ceremony outline very easily for one to follow and gave us ample time to complete it. My husband and I did not write our own vows, but Jake included both of our own written parts/pieces for our ceremony that made it our own. Everyone really loved our own additions to our ceremony! Jake did a fabulous job performing our ceremony. He does a great job in front of others and leading others. During our rehearsal, he led the group with no issues and made firm decisions. This is what we wanted from an officiant. Our venue coordinator even said he was one of the best they ever seen. Thank you Jake for pushing us both outside of our comfort zones and being so helpful throughout the whole process! You helped make our ceremony perfect and we cannot thank you enough!

Jake did a fantastic job officiating our wedding! He was prompt, organized, and great with communication. He came out to our rehearsal and was able to lead and guide everyone in a prompt but friendly way. We got so many complaints from our guests about our ceremony, as if felt very unique, intimate, and special which is exactly what we wanted. He made the whole process a lot easier, and he was supportive along the entire way! He took his time making the ceremony, and we appreciated all his hard work! I would recommend Jake to anyone who is looking for a great officiant!

Jake was amazing! We hired him about a month out from our wedding and he was nothing short of awesome. He really guided us in the process of planning our ceremony. Pre-ceremony he really got to know us as a couple and really took the time to learn more about us. During our rehearsal, he wrangled my rambunctious family and told us where to go and what to do. If we didn't have him there we would've been so lost! At our ceremony, Jake did a fantastic job. He did the best ceremony I could've asked for. People thought we knew Jake beforehand because he knew so much about us as a couple. I would highly recommend Jake for any wedding!!

Jake was an amazing wedding officiant! We loved everything he said to us during our ceremony. Not only is Jake super organized, he is laid back and makes everything feel stress free. He was able to keep our crazy families focused for the rehearsal even though we were running late. As bride and groom, we were able to pick out the order of everything and personalize how we wanted the flow of the ceremony and what messages were important to us. We even forgot to pay Jake his final payment and he sent us a friendly reminder. If you want someone who is easy going yet professional, Jake is your man!

Jake did an absolutely amazing job at our wedding and I cannot recommend him enough! He was personable and helpful throughout the entire process. We met prior to the wedding and did pre marital counseling which we found to be very helpful. He got to know us over facetime since we live far away. He made the rehearsal so easy and relaxed and the ceremony itself so personal. He showed up early to the wedding to check in with Lucas and I and see if he needed help with anything. The ceremony made our grandfather cry (which is very rare). It was exactly what we wanted with the right about of religious touches. Many people thought we knew him beforehand because of how he spoke of us and everyone talked about how beautiful the ceremony was all night. Jake will make the entire process so worry free and enjoyable. He was absolutely worth every dollar! Your officiant is one of the most important choices you will make, so pick Jake!
