I never write reviews, but my experience was so bad that I feel I would have loved a warning before the invitations were printed and mailed!
Absolutely horrible venue for a weddin...
g. Don't waste your time or money! First and foremost, the staff is incredibly unprofessional and rude. They told me that 180 people would fit comfortably in the space. It was very uncomfortable and crowded for all my guests. Probably most important, the place smelled like sewer from the bathrooms and the kitchen sink and the staff refused to do anything about it!!! Several of my guests complained about the smell. Can you imagine showing up to your wedding with a sewer smell in the venue???? The fridge had mold and a smelly substance in it. They told me on more than one occasion that they're "not really a wedding venue," that they're a museum and not in the wedding business. They offered a horse carriage ride, then said it wasn't available, but still had the brochures out advertising the horse & carriage months later! I would suggest finding a place that caters to weddings!
My fiancé and I were looking for a rustic feel for the wedding, but were worried about elevation sickness for out of state guests. (especially the ones coming from sea-level)

l the places in the mountains with a view were WAY out of our budget and they also had "package" deals that were our entire budget, but conveniently left our one major component (i.e. photographer/DJ/Caterer) we were looking at breaking our budget just to find a place for the wedding.
Four Mile was suggested by our caterer and I fell in love with it when I saw photos from another wedding. Four Mile is JUST the venue which is very nice when you want to bring in your own vendors. They worked with me and we ended up having our ceremony and reception in the same place.
I also had to plan the whole wedding from San Diego while my fiancé was deployed. The staff at Four Mile were extremely accommodating.
We had our ceremony under the wooden arch at Grant Hall and had the reception inside. We also rented out the Bee House for a place for the groomsmen to get ready. Very affordable and worked great with our wedding theme.
The only complication was that my contact person changed 3 times, but my first contact came back for the event. Even though my contact changed several times, each person read over the previous email conversations to be up to date on all the questions I had already asked and know what was going on.
Note: They don't work every weekday, so as long as you want to pick and organize your own vendors and can handle waiting a few days for your responses, Four Mile will be a perfect fit.
We loved having our ceremony and reception at Four Mile Historic Park. We liked it because it was out of the ordinary and not the normal site for a wedding in Denver. We wanted to ...
have the ceremony and reception at one location and Four Mile Historic Park made it easy. The events coordinator was friendly and efficient and stayed on top of everything. All of our requests were honored and we have gotten nothing but wonderful comments.
My husband and I are outdoor people, we met in Yellowstone National Park, and Four Mile Historic Park allowed us to express that part of our life while also being classy enough for a wedding.
Everyone at Four Mile Historic Park was so helpful and such a perfect place for our wedding. They let us come by multiple times to take measurements and plan out the layout of our ...
reception. They even allowed us to do a rehearsal the day before the wedding during their business hours. It is so beautiful and have so many services available, including hay rides and horse drawn carriages! Definitely perfect for the laid back, DIY bride!
Stone fireplace garden area wall of windows; The $1800 fee for Grant Hall is only for 6 hours of time that includes setup and take down time. Each additional hours is $150.
