Our wedding cake was both beautiful and delicious! Emily was wonderful to work with and very accommodating

Where do I start? Emily is simply amazing. We had to plan our Pittsburgh wedding all the way from Texas and she was SO helpful through it all! Making sure she had every detail we envisioned for our cake right. And when COVID came around causing us to adjust to a plan B, she was amazingly helpful with that too. I also can’t forget about our cake... 😍 it was absolutely PERFECT. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was. My husband and I are so happy she was able to make our wedding cake for us. It was so beautiful and the flavors were unique and the best I’ve ever had. Thank you so much for helping make our wedding day special. I hope to be in pittsburgh again sometime soon so we can order another one 😊

We had an amazing experience with Four Oaks Bakery. Our tasting was so much fun and well-worth the drive from Pittsburgh to try all the delicious flavors. We originally ordered a large cake for 100+ people, and then Covid happened and we ended up postponing, and eventually downsizing and moving the date up again! Through all of the changes Emily was sympathetic, responsive, and very kind. She even made us a beautiful little cake on our original wedding date! By the time our downsized wedding happened, I was suffering from planning fatigue but knew the original design we came up with wasn’t going to work for our new situation. I literally sent Emily a picture of my now-husband’s tie and asked if she could make something to go with it. I was so happy I let her semi-surprise me with the design on the day because it gave me something fun and low-stress to look forward to, and I knew I could trust her taste completely! The cake was gorgeous and so unique and special. It matched the pattern on the tie, but also tied in our florals and cake topper in a beautiful way. I feel so happy when I look at the pictures of our cake! We chose the Lemon Berry flavor and everyone kept telling us how good it was and asking who made it. I would not hesitate to recommend Four Oaks to anyone looking for a delicious and beautiful cake for their wedding day!

I had a clear vision of what I wanted for my wedding, but it took time to find who could make it happen. I did a lot of research to find vendors in Pittsburgh that could do what I was looking for (I am from Brazil and the wedding culture there is different from the US). When I saw Emily's work on Instagram pictures, I was impressed. She seemed creative, authentic, delicate and a perfectionist, all qualities I was looking for in a wedding cake artist. It was easy to get in contact with her and to schedule the tasting. My husband and I had a blast at our first meeting with Emily. She was interested in us, in our story, and she was very attentive to every word I was saying regarding my vision of the wedding. She is so easy to talk to, always smiley and kind. And oh my the cake was delicious! Seriously the best cake I had in Pittsburgh (I'm picky with cake because we make it differently in Brazil and usually I find the ones in the US too sweet). A couple days later, Emily sent me two sketches of the cake art. Now comes the hard part: how to choose between two beautiful cakes that were even better than I could have imagined? She nailed it twice! Finally, I chose one (hoping to order the other at some point in my life) and let Emily do her job. I think it's important to give freedom for artists to create the best version of their work, and at this point, I trusted her entirely. She could do anything she wanted and I knew I could relax and that I would have a great surprise on the wedding day. That's exactly what happened. I was so excited to see the cake table that I actually went to the cake room (in my wedding dress) for a sneak peak before walking to down the aisle. When I saw the cake and the cupcakes I was amazed. They were so perfect, so delicate. The colors, the look, the taste, everything was impeccable. As I already expected, the guests loved it and commented how great the cake/cupcakes were. I surely recommend Emily's work and I guarantee you will have a great experience with her as well.
