heir venue! They prioritized the environment when curating their vendor list and their grounds are stunning. We love them! Highly recommend. :)
Could not recommend Four Rivers enough! This is a beautiful venue if you love the outdoors and have a strong value for the environment while being surrounded by a naturally beautif...
ul place. Mary was a joy to work with, and was extremely flexible with what we were able to do. Our guests raved about how great the staff was, there was plenty of parking, we were able to do a slideshow, they were extremely communicative, and we had the best time of our lives. We also saw a bunch of wildlife which was very cool!!!
The space was absolutely beautiful and the staff was incredible to work with.

Could not have asked for a better venue
If you are looking for a fantastic venue for an outdoor wedding with a onsite reception, the...
n this is the place! Between the beautiful venue, the affordability and the great staff at Four Rivers, we could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. Mary and her team were extremely helpful and flexible with all of our requests and were extremely accommodating. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking in the Chicago area.
This venue is perfect for those who want to get married outside but don’t want an outdoor reception. I get overheated quickly but wanted a summer wedding, imagine that haha!! But w...
e had our ceremony outside under a pavilion that has a backdrop of trees and a river. And then we had our reception in the main hall. We had just under 100 guests and everyone was seated comfortably. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. From the big windows to the large fireplace, lots of photo ops! Also the employees are extremely accommodating and very helpful both before and the day of. Only thing I didn’t love, which is totally out of anyone’s control is I booked the venue with one employee and she ended up quitting and they hired 2 new ones. So for about 2 months no one alerted me of this and I was still emailing the woman from before and wondering why my emails weren’t being returned. I wish they would have let me (and I’m sure other brides) know of the change. The 2 new women were wonderful so no complaints there, just was frustrating waiting for a response thinking I was being ignored. Other than that, the venue was everything we hoped and more!!!
If you are looking to host a green and laid back event, I highly recommend Four Rivers. My fiance and I were going to host our wedding here but unfortunately ended up having to can...
cel due to personal financial reasons. With that being said, this is not only the most beautiful venue we looked at, but also the most affordable! The employees are beyond amazing and very informative if you have a million questions like I did. They have a list at the ready for you of recommended vendors if you don't know where to start looking. Everything about this center has a very relaxed feel to it. Perfect for the couple who want to enjoy their big day surrounded by nothing but nature and loved ones.
You guys, where do I begin? Four Rivers was AMAZING. For starters the price is very reasonable; we rented the outdoor pavilion, and grand hall which included the very large bridal ...
room. Pictures do not do this place justice it has such a unique feel to it with the exposed beams and floor to ceiling windows, surrounded by a river. I have never seen anything like it A HIDDEN GEM. Mary was so incredible during the entire planning process and answered every question I had along the way. My guests have not stopped telling me how beautiful Four Rivers was. THIS PLACE IS A PHOTOGRAPHER'S DREAM FOR PICTURES. If you are reading this please please please make a trip to Four Rivers, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Four Rivers Environmental Education Center is a beautiful location for both a wedding ceremony and reception. The surroundings provide a nature ambiance that is gorgeous in the day...
light and night! The building is very well kept. The staff could not be nicer or more helpful! Absolutely a bargain, very budget friendly and you get so much in return. We received multiple compliments from our guests on the venue! So happy with our choice to have our ceremony and reception at Four Rivers!
Stunning venue at a reasonable price! My husband and I fell in love with Four Rivers the minute we saw it. The nature lovers out there should definitely visit, as pictures don't do...
this place enough justice. We used the Grand Hall for our reception, which has a spectacular view of the Forest Preserve and water through the floor to ceiling windows. The outdoor patio was a hit as well! I think our all-time favorite perk was the fact that there were so many possibilities for stunning photographs. Amazing experience with all who worked alongside us. Thank you!
I'm so happy we chose to have our wedding at Four Rivers! It was such a beautiful location with a lot of charm but was also unique! The building is stunning with all of the windo...
ws in the Grand Ballroom looking out on the water. Mary was also excellent to work with leading up to the wedding, but especially the day of the wedding!
I am so glad I picked Four Rivers! I had been there for a work conference before, so I was familiar with the facility. When it came time to pick a wedding venue, I knew this was th...
e place I wanted. Everything about booking it was easy. The site coordinator, Mary, was wonderful. She answered all of my questions/calls/emails quickly and was easy to get ahold of. Being that this is a "green" facility, there are some restrictions, but all are very reasonable and easy to work around. I had my ceremony at the pavilion outside and the reception in the grand hall. The day of, there were a few staff members there to help with everything, and it all went off without a hitch. They do give you a list of caterers that you have to pick from, but there are several great options and variety among the list. The views all around the facility and grounds are beautiful, and make beautiful backdrops for your wedding photos. You can truly do it all in one spot and don't need to go anywhere else. All of my guests were impressed with Four Rivers and I would recommend it 100%!!!
I knew from the moment that I saw this place that it was where I wanted to get married at. After I showed my husband, he was right there with me and also agreed that it was a great...
place. Four Rivers allowed us to rent the venue and have the entire venue to ourselves and having that privacy was important to us after seeing other venues where there are multiple wedding receptions happening all at once. Both the ceremony area and the hall have great views of the rivers that run through the property and seeing all the nature around us allowed us to have great pictures to be taken for our wedding. We loved this place and many of our guest loved this place and enjoyed being able to also walk around the preserve and enjoy the views.
WOW is the best word that can sum up our feeling about the Four Rivers and their staff. At the beginning of the search for a venue, we wanted something different. We didn't want ...
the standard banquet hall or hotel setting; we just couldn't put our finger on the different we wanted. After a random Google search, I emailed the venue and right away received a quick response from Mary in regards to an open house that the venue would be hosting. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot, I was just taken away from the beauty of the area and the customer service that Mary offered( after being on the phone with me for 15 minutes because I was lost) The day of our wedding was one of the best moments of our lives. Mary, along with the staff for the day, went above and beyond to assist us and all of our guests. I love looking at our wedding pictures as it captures us and the establishment in the most perfect way!!
My husband and I as well of all of our guests loved this outdoorsy location! We got so many compliments. The staff was great and the location and buildings are beautiful.
For those looking for a unique wedding location this is the place! We received tons of compliments on Four Rivers. It was so much better than a traditional banquet hall. The lad...
ies there were wonderful and so helpful while planning everything. We can't thank them enough.
This is a beautiful location for a wedding. My guests really enjoyed the nature and took time between the ceremony and reception to explore the walking paths that surround the bui...
lding.
Also the room for the reception is beautiful and all glass so that you really feel like you are part of the outside.
There are a few downsides - you cannot have the venue past 11pm, and there is no option for extending. Also - they do not allow you to bring any items in the day before the wedding, and everything has to be brought out the night of which makes it really difficult for DIY brides.
I also had to stop the staff at the venue from breaking down tables and chairs one hour before my event was over.
This site is just fabulous for all the day's activities. I had a June wedding, ceremony was held outdoors under the pavilion, all pictures were outdoors with nature as the perfect...
backdrop, and the reception just a short walk down the path for all! You won't need to worry about finding a better place. Hall rental is reasonable and they are there to answer all questions. Our reception count was about 100 people. The hall is able to handle up to 160 people for banquet seating. Give it a look, it will amaze you!
