Bridget, Chris and their team immediately treated us like we were family, as if our wedding was as close to heart for them as a wedding within their own families. Bridget was so encouraging of the vision that we outlined to her and provided creative solutions at every turn to help us bring that vision to life. When we were indecisive or overwhelmed by the process, she met us with grace, patience and soulful wisdom. With help of Bridget and the FMH team, we were able to curate the weekend to be a completely autobiographical experience for our guests, including a customized menu featuring highlights from our travels and love story, a Chinese tea ceremony, a Dougie dance interlude, turning the dance floor into a club-like dance party and s'mores all weekend long. Not only did Bridget and her team effortlessly remember and manage some of our nontraditional requests in addition to all the usual details and nuances of a wedding, but they had this uncanny ability to know exactly what we needed before we even knew that we needed it, which freed us up to be able to enjoy fully our wedding weekend. One especially memorable touch was the lovingly assembled spread of all of our cocktail bites as well as our signature cocktails, and the wonderful note that they included to congratulate us on completing the more formal part of the wedding day! My husband and my biggest passion in life is food -- we are always trying out new restaurants and traveling specifically in pursuit of certain dishes -- so for us, being able to curate our menus for the weekend was critical. FMH made the curating process so fun -- and of course, the food that they served was far more elevated than food that you would find at any other wedding venue. We are still receiving rave reviews from our friends about what they ate! And it goes without saying, the grounds themselves are absolutely atmospheric. The rooms were each unique, cozy and comfortable. The glasshouse and the pond were an iconic focal point of the weekend, washed in amber hues during sunset for our rehearsal and for our cocktail hour, and then glistening with bistro lights and warmed by a bonfire for our afterparty. The calm, rustic, eclectic and antique aesthetic that threads through the whole property made for such a cinematic weekend. So many of our guests are planning their own trips to FMH after our wedding weekend, and we can't wait to return to relive the magic. Especially because we love keeping in touch with Bridget, it truly feels like we're a permanent part of the FMH family. Upon seeing our wedding on FMH's Instagram during our wedding weekend, a couple who had been married at FMH only a few months prior (who were complete strangers to us) reached out to congratulate us. And now we find ourselves keeping tabs on every FMH wedding that we see on social media to relive the magic but also because FMH does truly feel like a family. We had our site visit in the middle of winter (February 2021) when the property was covered in snow (the exact opposite of the summer wedding we were envisioning), but could immediately tell there was something magical about the place. After spending the afternoon with Chris and Bridget we fell in love and secured a weekend for June 2022. Bridget was an absolute dream to work with and made the months leading up to the wedding stress free (something we will forever be grateful for!). Our tasting night was easily one of our favorite parts of the wedding planning process — we were blown away by the thoughtfulness that went into curating our menu and we loved that we got to spend an evening at the inn sampling all of the curated dishes. Fast forward to our wedding weekend, and Bridget, Tara, Chris, and the rest of the team made our family and friends feel like family. Everyone was blown away by the hospitality, vibes, and food and drinks all weekend. Our wedding was 6+ months ago and friends and family still rave about the food and atmosphere. Foxfire is truly the most magical place to get married and we wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding weekend. If we could, we would get remarried every year at Foxfire and relive the weekend over and over again.

s the most magical fairytale disco inspired weekend of our lives. We booked the venue without seeing it, while living a few states away, with family in many countries, during Covid- and was the best decision we could ever have made. Bridget and the foxfire team were incredible and honestly handled my stress of booking vendors from far away (I wished I could say I was a chill bride but I wasn’t - at all). Between the food, the staff, the ambiance, disco balls, vendor recommendations, I couldn’t have ask for a more magical wedding and it’s because of the staff at foxfire. Everyone was treated like family and I couldn’t have been more grateful to the way their staff treated our guests. There aren’t enough words to describe that weekend. Being there for the entire weekend with friends and family celebrating our love, staying up late around a fire, looking up at a sky blanketed with stars- it has filled our hearts for eternity. We couldn’t have pulled it off without the help of Bridget and Chris, who I now consider a family. Bridget is a dream maker and just an all around amazing person. We wish we could do it all over again!

We worked with a handful of vendors who frequently do weddings at Foxfire and everyone worked so well together to pull off the perfect weekend. The tent has gorgeous new lighting but every aspect of the property is beautiful and easy to work with for a wedding. ith our wedding party, close family and friends all staying on-site with us. The venue itself is gorgeous, an idyllic Hudson Valley retreat with beautiful grounds, well-appointed rooms and fantastic food. Beyond the beauty of the main building, we made ample use of the many charming spaces in and around the property including the Glass House as a venue for late night ghost stories, the pond for scenic wedding photos and the veranda for a karaoke afterparty. Each member of the staff was warm and enthusiastic about providing us and our guests with everything we needed. That attention to detail and impeccable customer service started months earlier with the planning team of Bridget, Chris and Tara, who were a dream to work with. They had everything scheduled for us and worked directly with each of our vendors so we didn’t have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. So many of our guests have told us our wedding was one of the best they’d ever attended, and we know a large part of that is thanks to the magic of Foxfire. Even though our event was a little over a month ago, we can’t wait to go back for a weekend getaway.

Set away from the world, but with every amenity you could want. Comfortable, cozy, and with the peace of nature. The food is unbelievable. From the very first Harvest Board as guests checked in, through the rehearsal dinner, and an unforgettable reception spread. Never mind the breakfast that our guests are still texting me about. There was not a single moment of stress. My husband and I showed up, handed over the welcome gifts, and I didn't worry about a single thing for the rest of the weekend - because we knew that Bridget and her team had it all completely handled. I could honestly write so much more about it, but it was just perfect. Beyond what we had ever imagined. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Our guests could not stop complimenting the venue, everyone said it was the most beautiful place they had ever seen (and they were obsessed with the food and drinks, just like we were). Since it was early June, the flowers and greenery were all in full bloom, it was so magical. We could not thank Bridget and the team enough for helping to bring our dream wedding to life, it was everything we hoped for and more. We can't wait to go back to continue celebrating our love and creating new memories.

They worked with us to postpone until Summer 2021 — and were patient, responsive, communicative and just good people throughout the entire process. While the team is happy to work with you and bring your specific vision to life, part of why we chose Foxfire is because we completely trust their taste. And if you don't want to have to micromanage every detail, you'll be in fantastic hands. Everyone we worked with was kind, professional and seemed genuinely happy to be part of the team. The packages they offer are also super reasonable considering it really is 'all in.’ They had a contingency plan for everything. They invited us to stay at the property multiple times. They got every detail perfect. Our guests are still raving about the food, the setting, and how comfortable and cared for they felt throughout our weekend. Honestly, we could write four more pages of raves but we’ll leave it there. Just know that the entire weekend went far beyond what we’d hoped.

It was really special to be able to reunite with our friends and family on a private property as beautiful as the Foxfire. The entire property looked gorgeous, every meal & drink was perfection and having the rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception on the property made the entire weekend seamless. The Foxfire team made sure everything was set and decorated just as we discussed. They added extra special details just because they wanted to make sure our day was perfect. We didn't have to worry about a single thing. Every guest that attended our wedding said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and we agree. :) I'm not one to write reviews online so if you are reading this, please believe me when I say we really couldn't have asked for a more perfect, magical wedding weekend. We can't wait to visit again.

how everything turned out. Bridget and Chris from the Foxfire team were communicative, helpful and flexible throughout the planning process. This was essential, especially given all the uncertainty at the beginning of quarantine. They helped us come up with several contingency plans and talked us through the safety precautions that would be taken to keep our ~30 guests healthy... on top of all the normal agenda items. We're now over 2 weeks out and no one has gotten sick! It goes without saying that the Foxfire Inn and grounds are a MAGICAL setting that lived up to all our expectations. The fire pits, lawn games and glass house were a big hit among our guests, who repeatedly said it was the most special wedding they'd been to. The Foxfire staff are friendly and attentive - you can tell they truly love what they do. We can't say enough amazing things about Bridget in particular. From coordinating with vendors, facilitating the rehearsal and even the small things like handing out tips - she made sure the weekend ran smoothly. Nick the bartender was so talented and kind, even chatting it up with some of our more eccentric relatives. Also, our guests absolutely raved about the food. Seriously, SO many compliments to the chef/kitchen staff - every single meal was 10/10 AMAZING. While there was an unfortunate incident at the end of the last night, Chris and Tim have been sympathetic and professional in working with us to remedy the situation - we have only positive things to say about the experience. We would absolutely recommend Foxfire to anyone we know! We all needed something to be happy about this year, so we feel very lucky to have found Foxfire. My husband and I can't wait to visit again in the future!

My husband and I fell in love with Foxfire the second we stepped foot on the property and then kept falling even deeper the more we became involved in next steps. As you can imagine, planning a wedding from outside of the state can be a bit stressful, but Foxfire made the entire process a beyond pleasant experience. From our initial meeting with Chris and tour of the campus, to our first stay, our tasting, the actual weekend of, and all communication in between along the way- the talent, the professionalism, the detail, the passion, the consideration, and the LOVE the team poured into the preparation and celebration of our day will be something my husband and I will never forget. The Foxfire team goes above and beyond to treat their guests truly as family, whether you are visiting for dinner, staying a night or few, or holding your wedding on their grounds. Especially when planning a wedding, as you can imagine, it’s a comforting feeling to know that genuinely warm-hearted people are treating not only you but your family and friends like their very own. Our wedding guests, both those staying on the property and not, were taken aback at how hospitable the team was throughout the entire wedding weekend. In reality our summer wedding couldn’t have possibly been the smashing success it was without the entire team’s dedication and support, including: Chris, Kateri, Emily, Chef Nazie, Charlie, Bryan, Sally, and everyone else behind the scenes. They so effortlessly took on the major responsibility of ensuring our big day was everything we dreamed of... and then some! Like bosses!!! It was really such a relief to know our wedding was entrusted in the very best of hands and that mine and my husband’s only concern was to enjoy ourselves. They made sure of it! We are still daydreaming about the wedding weekend and our guests are still raving, now months later, about it as well- saying it was honestly the best wedding they’d ever been to! To the Foxfire team, we couldn’t be more grateful for their delivery of our best weekend ever! Everything was so on point from beginning to end, every moment of every day.
