Ivana was born in Zagreb, Croatia, she began dancing at the age of 11 and quickly developed a passion that shaped her lifelong career. For over a decade, she has been an active part of the Fred Astaire Dance Studios organization, where she has trained, competed, and taught at the highest levels of the industry. Throughout her career, Ivana has competed in international events across Europe and USA, earning numerous regional and national titles, including top placements in Fred Astaire Dance Studios competitions. Her dedication and professionalism have also been recognized with multiple Top Teacher and Top Manager Awards, reflecting her commitment to both excellence and her students’ growth. Teaching remains Ivana’s greatest passion. She has experience working with students of all ages and skill levels – from social dancers and wedding couples to children and competitive teams. Her teaching approach emphasizes enjoyment, connection and technique guided by the belief that dance should be both challenging and fulfilling, but above all, fun. As Managing Director and Instructor, Ivana strives to make Fred Astaire Dance Studio Darien an inviting and inclusive space where everyone feels supported an inspired to learn. She takes pride in building a community that values progress, confidence and shared experience of dance.

Born in Chisinau, Moldova, Vladimir began dancing at the age of 8 and quickly developed a passion that would shape his life. Over the years, he has built an impressive competitive career, winning multiple regional and national dance championships. For over a decade, Vladimir has been a respected member of the Fred Astaire Dance Studios community, recognized not only for his skill on the dance floor but also for his exceptional talent as an instructor. Vladimir’s teaching excellence has been acknowledged with multiple Top Teacher in New England awards and, most recently, he was named a Top 10 Teacher for 2024 across the entire Fred Astaire organization. His expertise spans Ballroom, Latin and American styles, as well as social dancing, wedding choreography, and children’s classes. His instruction emphasizes technical precision, rhythm and movement, while ensuring every class remains engaging, enjoyable and tailored to students at every level – from beginners discovering dance for the first time to serious competitors refining their craft. Known for his approachable style and supportive teaching environment, Vladimir encourages students to challenge themselves while enjoying the process.
