My future husband and I decided to go with this studio because of the amazing reviews and more than fair pricing for our wedding first dance. I was a dancer for 15 years in ballet, jazz, and modern but haven’t danced in years, let alone ballroom danced. My fiancé has never danced but did MMA. This was incredibly helpful, but our biggest help was the spectacular instructor, Kage!!!! From the first lesson, he made us feel so comfortable and we just had so much fun going to each class. Our first dance is beyond my dreams and so extra and fun and we cannot wait to perform in front of our guests. We have so much amazing choreography that’s really going to WOW our guests and did it in just five lessons. Kage was creative (especially with our height difference), caring, funny and just overall everything we wanted in our instructor. Both my fiancé and I left our last lesson sad that it was the last and we definitely want to come back and learn more styles. Kage is seriously the best and I highly recommend him for your wedding first dance!!!!!

Kage did a great job preparing my husband and me for our first dance at our wedding! We had very little prior dance experience, but after taking private lessons with Kage we felt confident showing off our skills on our wedding day. I loved the choreography he came up with, and everyone at the wedding told us how great it looked.
We worked with the studio owner, Kage, to choreograph and teach us our first dance; he couldn't have been more helpful and enjoyable to work with! My fiance was especially nervous about dancing, and Kage made him feel instantly comfortable. In just four 45-minute sessions, we have our full dance ready to go. We can't wait for our guests to see what we've prepared! I highly recommend Fred Astair dance studio for any of your wedding choreography needs, no matter what level of experience you have :)
My fiancé and I had little to no knowledge of how to dance properly. We wanted to do something more than the typical rock back forth for our first dance. We took 4 lessons with Kage and it was the best decision we made during our wedding prep.
Kage was so helpful to creating a dance routine to our chosen song (Better Together by Jack Johnson) and meeting our needs and dreams for our first dance. Our guests were WOW’d by our first dance! Kage is a phenomenal instructors and clearly an expert at dance. The lessons were fun, insightful, and enjoyable. Even my fiancé, who was a little hesitant on taking lessons, loved every moment of it and was so thankful we didn’t just “wing” our first dance. As an added bonus, Kage even provided us with tips for poses for our photos, which ended up being some of our favorite photos from the day!
If you’re getting married, I highly recommend taking a few dance lessons with Kage - you’ll be so happy and grateful you did!
We went to Fred Astaire dance studio to take lessons for our first dance. Khyla was wonderful in teaching us some easy to learn steps and transformed them into a routine. She was so accommodating on the lesson times as well. We came in exactly 1 week before the big day and were able to set up 3- 45 minute lessons. Plus an additional lesson for the groom and his mom. We are so glad we took the lessons, our guests were blown away with our moves! Thanks Khyla and Kaylee! (sorry if I spelled your names wrong)
An amazing staff that care about every person who walks in the door! They choreograph beautiful dances and helped me have a comfortable and exceptional experience! 10/10 recommend!

My fiancé, Kaillie, and I had zero clue on how to dance properly or at all. We wanted to make our first dance of the wedding something fun, romantic and enjoyable. They’ve take us from having two left feet t actually feeling confident and having fun dancing. We are also learning how therapeutic it is to learn dancing. It’s brought us closer. Wedding or knot;), these people are amazing especially Ashley ;)
Ashley crafted a truly unique and lovely dance for our wedding! She understood our needs, interests, and dance experience perfectly. Every day was so much fun with her, and she is the very best teacher for nervous first-time dancers - she makes you feel special in a way that boosts your confidence and makes you feel comfortable enough to try new things. We had such an amazing experience that we kept dancing at Fred Astaire in Oceanside through the rest of the year, and the next, and the next... Cannot recommend highly enough, and the rest of the team is equally amazing! <3 <3 <3
My now husband surprised me with ballroom dancing lessons for my birthday the year we got married. Our instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studio Oceanside helped up choreograph a beautiful dance for our first dance. We participated in the group classes and dance parties and got comfortable with ourselves and our dance. We even had a few opportunities to practice our first dance in front of audiences during the different shows the studio conducts - so we were comfortable dancing in front of our guests. We were even able to transfer some of our left over classes to family preparing for their wedding. I would recommend this studio and this experience to anyone!
