If you’re thinking of doing dance lessons for your wedding, we HIGHLY recommend Juliette Saint George and Fred Astaire Orange! Going into our wedding, my husband and I wanted our day to be perfect, and we felt that a huge part of that was going to be our first dance. It’s a magical and memorable moment and we wanted it to stand out - not just us swaying back and forth for 3 minutes. We did a consultation with Juliette, and we immediately knew she would be great for us. We started the process a little closer to our wedding date than ideal, but the staff at Fred Astaire was able to squeeze in all our sessions, doing some doubles or twice a week, instead of the standard weekly cadence. Juliette has a true passion for dance, and is able to channel that passion into the couples that come in for lessons with her. In just over a month, Juliette transformed a dream into a reality and gifted us with a memory that will last a lifetime. Also important to note, she was able to create an incredible dance and teach us all the basics/techniques, and neither of us have any sort of dance experience. Before this, we considered ourselves terrible dancers, but everyone at our wedding said it looked like we were on Dancing with the Stars! If you’re considering signing up for lessons, it’s worth the investment for an incredible experience and lifelong memory.

If you are on the fence about learning a first dance for your wedding - DO IT. My husband and I took dance lessons in the weeks leading up to our wedding and it was our favorite part of wedding planning (and our wedding). We are not natural dancers, and did not tell our family or friends we were learning a dance, but this ended up being the best surprise!
Wedding planning is stressful, it was so nice to have the time for lessons carved out to reconnect with my husband and have some fun. We were nervous at first but the instructors at Fred Astaire Orange made it easy to relax and enjoy.
We had private lessons with Stephanie, Ned, and Juliette. Each instructor adds a new perspective and helps build you up to have more confidence in your dance.
We chose the song “I was made for lovin’ you” by Kiss, and the upbeat music shocked our family and friends on the big day - they were an excellent audience.
I can’t recommend the folks here enough - everyone was so helpful and uplifting. Please consider using Fred Astaire of Orange. You won’t regret it!

We cannot recommend Fred Astaire Dance Studio enough! We took lessons in preparation for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. Neither of us had much dance experience, but Juliette made us feel so comfortable from the very first lesson.
The lessons were not only productive but also so much fun — they became a highlight of our week! Juliette broke everything down step-by-step, gave us just the right amount of challenge, and helped us feel completely confident with our first dance. If you are engaged and thinking about dance lessons, do it at Fred Astaire Dance Studio! We are so grateful for the experience!

Magali was amazing! We signed up for dance lessons for our first dance at our wedding. We just finished our 12 lessons, and I can say I am truly grateful and my fiancé and I have both grown as dancers. Magali was a great teacher and we couldn’t have done it without her. My fiancé had no previous dance experience, and he is now confident and can learn new things more quickly! Also side note, this was a great way to spend time together on the weekends leading up to our wedding!

My fiancè and I booked 8 lessons within 3 weeks for our wedding at this studio, and it was the best decision we made! We had a small amount of time to choreograph a dance, learn it, and master it before we had to leave for our wedding in Miami, but the team at Fred Astaire Orange went above and beyond to help us complete our goal! We started our dance journey with Stephanie, who was so enthusiastic and encouraging as she taught us the basic steps we would be implementing throughout our dance. Magali was so kind and thoughtful with her additions to our choreography. However, it was Juliette who made our vision come to life! She really listened to what we wanted for our first dance and our comfortability level. With that being said, she encouraged us to branch out and try new moves, which my fiancè and I are very thankful for. We ended up with the perfect first dance for us. We loved our experience at the Fred Astaire Orange Studio and would recommend it to any of our friends! We are so thankful to the wonderful teachers who encouraged us throughout the journey. Each and every single one of them were a pleasure to spend time with after a busy day of work; we always left the studio in such a better mood than when we arrived. If you are going to try dance lessons for any reason, we highly recommend this studio, and especially Juliette!

Never having done dance before, we reached out to Fred Astaire in Orange for our special day. Ned, Stephanie and the entire staff were welcoming, friendly and took away any sense of doubt during our sessions. They were even accommodating when my husband got hurt months before our wedding, which took away time from our lessons. We ended up not only having a special moment we will always remember, but a love for dancing we hope to revisit soon!
If you are looking for the perfect studio for your wedding day, Fred Astaire in Orange is the way to go.

We purchased 5 lessons for our first dance. Day 1 was meeting with Juliette and learning basic dance steps. Day 2-4 was making choreography from our inspo dance video. Day 5 was just going over it so many times until it was perfect. If you are thinking about a choreographed first dance, do it! It was my favorite part of our wedding ♥️ everybody was coming up to us after, telling us about how beautiful and unexpected the dance was 💕

We worked with Juliette to create our first dance for our wedding in September, and cannot rave enough about working with her. Dance lessons were fun, and she put together a beautiful dance that really embodied us as a couple and that our guests loved!
We have continued lessons with her and the Fred Astaire team for our date nights even after the wedding, and would recommend Juliette and the rest of the team at Orange for both dance basics and fun nights out with your partner!

My husband and I decided to do a choreographed first dance for our October 2024 wedding, and it was the BEST decision we made!! As non-dancers we were wary at first as we didn’t really know what to expect. However, we were fortunately paired with Juliette as our dancing instructor. She not only was professional, patient and kind–but made us feel so comfortable and like we were just dancing with a friend. At each lesson she came prepared with planned choreography to work through, however she also gave us flexibility to workshop some moves & steps together to really tailor it to be our own. We even asked her to put another lift in as we had so much fun doing the first one!
Leading up to the wedding, it was such a fun “date night” for my husband and I to go to lessons together–and got us even more excited for our wedding. We even loved practicing the dance at home! On our wedding day, the dance went off perfectly (thanks to Juliette)!! All our friends were amazed at some of the moves we did and showered us with compliments afterwards. My husband and I still talk about how that was one of our favorite moments of our wedding. I highly encourage couples to sign up for Fred Astaire and specifically request Juliette. She truly went above and beyond to make our wedding dreams come true!! 10/10 recommend!!

Juliette was an incredible teacher! We signed up for 12 classes for our wedding dance and we're so happy we did! Our dance turned out so well and we were so happy to have a dance to show off forever!

Fred Astaire in Orange was incredible, and specifically, we loved Juliette! We chose to choreograph a dance as we both hate the spotlight and having people watch us sway for 2 minutes of a dance was our worst nightmare. My husband and I are not dancers and Juliette made us feel so comfortable and confident in ourselves.
We only signed up for 4 classes as we were short on time and Juliette did an amazing job packing everything into those classes. The first one was focused on figuring out what style of dance we liked and then every class from there was slowly built off of it. It was really helpful how Juliette walked us through every move, ensuring we felt comfortable in what we were doing. She even went above and beyond by filming our dance after each class so we could practice at home between lessons.
We got married in May and we still talk about how much we loved this experience with Juliette and our newfound love of dancing together. It was the best way to end our wedding together with so many (including the videographer and photographer) saying it was the best first dance they had seen. Not only that, but they were our favorite date nights coming up to the wedding <3 Thank you Juliette!

Juliet was the best dance instructor we could have ever had. From the beginning she was so friendly and helpful to us in trying to bring our idea to life for our wedding dance. She made the best choreography for us, so easy to learn and understand. She made it look effortless when she taught us the moves. Always was engaging with us and made our sessions always so much fun. We loved everything about our experience at the studio with Juliet, we highly recommended taking classes with her because she was a great teacher and knows what she’s talking about!

We purchased the 10 lessons package and had a wonderful time learning our special dance choreographed to the song we chose. We were paired with Juliette who is incredibly passionate about her craft and brings such a bright and funny energy to every lesson. Her attention to detail ensures that every step looks and feels perfect, and she’s fantastic at explaining and demonstrating the moves in a way that’s easy to follow—even for beginners like us!
What really stood out was her flexibility. We changed our song after two lessons, and Juliette adapted seamlessly, incorporating the new rhythm and style without missing a beat. She let us choose a dance style that felt authentic to us, which is Rumba, and made the entire process fun and stress-free.

Working with Fred Astaire Orange was a highlight of my wedding! The instructors were excellent at choreographing a dance that showed off the strengths of my husband (with no prior dance experience) and myself (with dance experience but not in ballroom). We now have some basic steps we can use as wedding guests too in the future! I cannot recommend them enough!

Had an amazing experience! I’ve never taken a dance class in my life and was so impressed by how confident I’m feeling leading up to my wedding!
I took 6 months of ballroom lessons to make sure I was comfortable with the steps, following, and dancing with a partner, then had 3 months of lessons with my fiancé (who is already comfortable dancing). They helped choreograph part of our dance which came out beautifully, and thanks to the lessons the second half of our first dance is just us floating around the space and enjoying ourselves.
Highly recommend!! They are all so welcoming and knowledgeable!

Fred Astaire Dance Studio Orange taught/choreographed a first dance for our beginning level experience and gave us the confidence to feel great on our wedding day. We appreciated their patience as we learned the moves and it felt very easy as the instructors taught us to tie all the dance steps together. They thought of everything from start to finish, and we loved their ideas and thoughts throughout the process. We would recommend Fred Astaire Dance Studio Orange for anyone who wants to learn to dance for fun and/or a Wedding First Dance.

Our daughter was getting married in 2020. My wife and I drove past the studio many times just being curious. We decided on the Entry lever-Beginners class and learned how to dance basic steps! Successful wedding, we continued our journey now at the Competitive Dance Level! Fred Astaire Orange Connecticut Studio continues to meet and exceed our expectations! Fred Astaire's Orange Dance classes are absolutely the best all around! All the instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and patient, making everyone feel comfortable on the dance floor, even those with two left feet. The entire team creates an excellent atmosphere for learning and practicing dance moves, and you feel like you're with family. I highly recommend these classes to anyone who wants to improve their dance skills while having a great time! We started classes to make our first dance special, and now we can't stop returning to see Ned, Stephanie, Juliette, Magali, and Jess.
