Fred Astaire Dance Studio

We went to Fred Astaire to learn how to dance prior to our big day. We ended up working closely with two amazing instructors - Nikki and Ty, who created a special first dance for us and then worked closely with us to coach us and make sure we would be ready for the big day. Everyone at our wedding, including our family and bridal party didn't know what we had planned and were thrilled to see our special dance. Even after the wedding, we have continued our lessons and really enjoy our "couples night out" each week. We highly recommend Fred Astaire to any one who is preparing for their wedding.

My now husband and I came across an intro couples lesson on Groupon for Fred Astaire Dance Studio and figured hey why not give it a shot. This particular location is only 15 mins from our home so it seemed meant to be. We had never danced before and wanted our wedding dance to be more than just swaying together back and forth. After our first lesson, we LOVED it, we ended up buying a package of 5 (we added a 6th at the end for fun). Our instructors were Emilia and Eugene, they were wonderful! We learned the hustle, quite well I might add, but we danced the rumba steps we had learned to our wedding song. People were shocked and in awe of our performance! Some had known we had taken a handful of lessons, but could not believe our progress in such a short time. Emilia, your beautiful and encouraging spirit is just my favorite! If the cost per lesson weren't so expensive, and I could afford it, I would definitely consider dancing here on a regular basis.

My fiancé and I started going here to prepare for our first dance for our wedding. I originally found out about the place through a Groupon three years ago that we purchased but never used. They were extremely, needing to use the face value of the Groupon that expired and our first session was with Ty and Nikki. They are both wonderful and we have had three lessons with Ty so far, all of which of been super fun. I have 16 years of classical ballet training, and I fiancé was a football player through high school and college. It is wonderful how accessible Ty makes dancing for my fiancé. At this point we would definitely like to continue the lessons after the wedding. It is something really fun to do together rather than sitting on the couch on a Saturday night. Plus, they have late hours to accommodate our work schedules.

My fiancee and I were interested in dance lessons to sharpen our skills and learn more social dancing to use for future celebrations. We also received one-on-one instruction for a choreographed first dance...nothing too fancy, but more polished than simple swaying back and forth. It was a bit pricier than we had anticipated, especially with other wedding costs to incur and we had hoped to learn a few more dances outside of our wedding dance. However, we had such a great time working with Mary & Roman (our instructors), and feel like it was a great investment in our wedding and for us as a couple as well!
