It’s been 6 months and I still have not received our wedding package including the video and photo album. I’ve reached out numerous times with little to no communication. I’ve just...
asked for a date on when we can expect our items and the only response I receive is that “I’ll check”. I never actually receive a date on when I can expect everything. The communication is terrible. I would not recommend.
Do NOT work with Fred Fox for your wedding or any major event. The single biggest regret that I have for my wedding was choosing Fred Fox for our photography and videography servic...
es. Not only is their work average at best, you literally have to fight with the company to receive your photos, videos, and paid for products. Choose ANY OTHER PHOTOGRAPHER in Chicago and I'm certain you will be happier.
If you'd like more specific details of why you should not choose Fred Fox, even if they provide affordable prices, here are some of the specifics: On my wedding day, the company sent a different lead photographer than the guy we had chosen to work with, without letting me or my wedding coordinator know in advance. The guy they sent (Jake) was honestly the slowest photographer I could've ever imagined. He took less than 10 shots of my husband and me together total, and three of them were shots that I had to suggest.
Despite the slow photographing, getting your photos, videos, and other items you paid for from Fred Fox after your event is a headache and a huge hassle. They do not send you any sneak peek photos or preview photos after your wedding; you have to email and practically beg them to send you unedited photos so you can have your photos before your 1st anniversary.
They are late on all of their promised turnaround times to give you your photo/video/album back, and they do not provide any proactive communication. Sometimes, they do not even respond to your emails. I've kept emails and screenshots of all promised deadlines and continue to send them to Fred Fox when they are delayed in giving me products I paid in full for. It took over 17 weeks for us to get our wedding video, over 17 weeks for us to get our wedding album, and this is with me emailing them weekly that they've missed their promised deadlines (and I paid in full, up front, and on time).
Of all the photography options out there, why work with a company that treats you, the customer, like garbage?
Again, choosing Fred Fox is the single and only vendor regret that I have from my wedding. There are so many talented photographers and videographers in Chicago - take a chance on ANY of them. I see all the time on Facebook the special and unique photos OTHER COMPANIES provide their clients, the beautiful sneak peak wedding photos right after their wedding and the nice short internet video sneak peeks too. Fred Fox will provide you none of those. I am embarrassed to have chosen this company for the most special day of my life. I would be embarrassed if I worked for this company, knowing that they withhold products and communications for people who have paid for their services.
I could not be any happier with Fred Fox Studios!! My brother referred me to them and I am so glad he did! I used the Orland Park location and Crystal was amazing! I had a millio...
n questions and she helped me out in every step of the way. Dennis was our wedding photographer and I couldn't say enough positive things about him. I originally thought I wanted a female photographer because I thought I would be more comfortable with a female, but I was definitely wrong. Dennis was AMAZING!! We went over everything ahead of the wedding day and what I was looking for from him and he nailed it! I didn't have to remind him of anything. He gave me tips, showed me how to pose and took some amazing shots despite the VERY rainy weather. I can NOT wait to see how the photos turned out. Thank you so much Crystal and Dennis!
We used Kelly and Felipe for our photographers and Joe for our videographer, all who were fantastic! The pictures were fabulous, and I have received so many compliments on how the...
photos turned out! Kelly was our lead photographer. She made sure every detail was perfect, and our entire day ran smoothly. I would highly recommend Fred Fox to help capture your special day!
We worked with Dennis as our photographer for both our engagement photos and our wedding. We were SO pleased with Dennis's work! Not only are his photos absolutely beautiful, but...
he made us feel totally comfortable and had us pose naturally and in a way that reflected our two personalities. Dennis spent a lot of time working with me to make sure he made the day special and took the photos I wanted. I sent him a list of the photos I wanted and a collage of sample wedding pictures that I liked. He took that very seriously and made sure that I got the photos I wanted. He also met with me for almost an hour and a half a few days before the wedding to plan things out with me.
Dennis was also just a fun guy to work with. I highly recommend Dennis as a photographer!
We also worked with Mario as our videographer. We haven't gotten our video yet, but Mario was also great to work with, and it seemed that he worked really well with Dennis. I really can't wait to see our photos and video! Go with Fred Fox. Affordable and very professional!
Fred Fox was the most affordable photographer that we could find. We had the pleasure of working with Felicia. I highly suggest asking for her if you go with Fred Fox. She made my ...
day run so smoothly and she took charge with my family members and friends to make sure we got pictures with everyone we wanted. She also had great ideas for photos as well.
I gave this vendor 2 stars because the photographer, Felicia, was wonderful and I love the pictures. HOWEVER, there were several things that were and still are unacceptable to me. ...
First, it took almost 2 months to even see the pictures. Any of them. The reason I was given was that they were busy. Then, once I got to see the pictures, I couldn't have any of them for yet another month. So now we are three months past the wedding. We bought a package that included a photo book and a large canvas print. I sent our choices over almost 3 months ago and I have had no response from Fred Fox at all. I have no idea when or if I will get these items, which has me incredibly disappointed as they were recommended to me by a friend.
Wonderful! We used them for our wedding and engagement photos. Both sessions came out with so many great pictures. They are very attentive and answered all my our calls and emails ...
quickly. For the wedding we had so many great photos it was hard to pick! Fair prices and great service!
My daughter Amanda got engaged last May 2015 under a waterfall in Colorado to Derek. She surprised me ( my husband knew because before the trip he ask for her hand in marriage. So ...
when she sent me the waterfall picture and the ring I couldn't have been more happy. They wanted a fall wedding of 2016 and they wanted Vintage, Elegant to be their theme. So now we needed the perfect
Photography place to capture all these special and perfect moments. And as you brides know there is a slew of them out there. Well Amanda asked me " Mom how did you pick your photographer? And I said we interviewed a few but none came even close to the standards, uniquely photos and the professionalism the FRED FOX offered not to mention the bang for your buck. So her and Derek made a appointment and were extremely impressed with Vladimir. And then on top of that she told them " You did my Mom and Dad's wedding back in 1988 and always loved my wedding pictures. So she and Derek booked them and on the way home thought how special is this 28 years later they are now doing our wedding !
Amanda and Derek couldn't wait till the proofs were finally available to view and were so impressed with Vladimir's work!
He took a ton of photos and what I being the parents of the bride he kept in touch with us the entire night asking if there was
Anything else we wanted photos of. But we couldn't think of anything because he nailed it that night and took pictures we would never even of thought of ! Hopefully we have started a new tradition with wedding photography down the line
Started with us her parents and now our daughter and someday her children! All I can say is THANK YOU for all your hard work! It was much appreciated!!!!!!
Everything about our wedding day was perfect and Fred Fox Studios helped make it happen. There's a big difference between a company that pretends to care and one that really does. ...
Keith, Carol, Terry, and Kelly are amazing people with outstanding service and expertise. Fred Fox genuinly cares about every aspect and it shows. You will not get better or more personal service anywhere. From our engagement photos to our wedding day, every picture was beautiful and unique! Terry did our engagement photos which were stunning! He made them special and went over and beyond for us! Kelly was our photographer on our wedding day, and we couldn't ask for a better, more talented person! Fred Fox Studios are family to us. We recommend Fred Fox Studios in the highest terms.
Thank you for a day we will cherish forever!

I worked with Crystal at the Orland Park Studio and she was amazing. She lead me in the right direction with the photographer and the packages. Couldn't be more pleased!
So far Fred Fox has been amazing! My engagement pictures were beautiful and the staff has been wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them!
Can't write enough good words about Fred Fox! From the first time talking to manager Terry on the phone till meeting him in person, then meeting our photographer Felipe before th...
e wedding, and then our big day...every moment and every step of the way since Fred Fox started working with us...has been such an easy, pleasurable, fun experience and their attitude, professionalism and service were just flawless and completely beyond my expectations!
Felipe did a perfect job working so hard to capture all the beautiful, incredible and fun moments of our wedding, my husband and I can't thank him enough. He is surely the best photographer we've ever met!! Felipe is such a hard worker and didn't take a break through more than 8 hours non-stop photo shooting. Our family and friends at the wedding were very impressed by him as well !! Every pic he took turned out to be just perfect !!
Terry is also the best manager that we could have hoped for; we trusted him completely and it was fun to work with him; he always listened to our requests and discussed our thoughts and ideas with the photographer, making sure everything would be smooth and perfect. I've been telling everyone how amazing and great Fred Fox Studios is! Terry and our photographer Felipe are truly the best. We got the best of everything in one package: top quality, very reasonable price, the best service and super fun experience!! Thank you Fred Fox and thank you so much Terry and Felipe for making my big day incredibly beautiful, memorable, fun and perfect !!
We had a great experience using Terry from Fred Fox. Not only did the pictures turn out fantastic, but Terry was ultra accommodating with scheduling and easy to work with. In add...
ition, we were able to view our pictures online later that same day (my fiance was very excited). We would highly recommend the Fred Fox team for your next event.
There were a few reasons that we went with Fred Fox Studios. Number one being their history, you can't go wrong with a business that has stood the test of time. Another big reason ...
we went with them was that they provide you with the rights to all of your pictures, which was hard to find in other studios. Probably the biggest reason for us booking them was Carol. She was fantastic and helped us so much more than just the contract. Our photographer, Joe, was very helpful as well and really did a good job of taking control as well as adhering to our picture requests. Everybody that we have worked with from Fred Fox Studios has been very sweet and tremendously helpful every time we needed to go over anything. Plus they offer you beer when you go in for your meeting, so grooms should make sure they go in as well ;)
We were so pleasantly surprised by Fred Fox photography! We had a lot of concerns when choosing a photographer. Many places that we inquired just did not fit our budget. Someone su...
ggested Fred Fox and the price was right. I was worried that the service would not be as good for something so reasonably priced, but I was immediately proved wrong. Every question got answered right away. The payments were broken up and easy for us to make. Every concern I had was put to ease by an email. Then, the most important part was how wonderful our photographer was! Joe was exactly the type of person I wanted to follow us around all day setting up perfect pictures. He was fun, got right to the point, and worked well with everyone. So many people told me how cool he was and how fun the picture taking process was with him. He took fun, original shots, and made sure to get all the necessary family shots in as well. He reminded me to take pictures that I myself forgot I told him I wanted to make sure and get that day. He was just great! I could not have asked for anything better. There are so many difficult decisions to make when planning a wedding; the decision to use Fred Fox photography was one of the best ones that we made! I highly recommend this company to anyone, especially Joe!!
We recently had our engagement photos done through Fred Fox. Terry was our photographer and he was great! I had expressed to him that we did not want our pictures to be a bunch of ...
awkward poses and he definitely listened. He made the entire process comfortable as my fiance and I have never had professional pictures taken. Our pictures turned out amazing! The fall scenery and the sun looked absolutely amazing in the background. Terry told us that we would have our pictures back by Thursday and we did (5 days later)! There is nothing I appreciate more than punctuality. Wonderful job Fred Fox. I can not wait to have Fred Fox take pictures and video for our wedding next year.
This place was amazing! The photographer for our wedding, Thomas, was so patient and so skilled. He captured my wedding in a way that I will never forget.
We had the pleasure of Fred Fox Studios taking our wedding photos on October 10th. We were very happy with both our photographer and videographer. They were punctual, friendly, and...
took whatever extra photos we asked for. They even got up during dinner so we could run outside to capture some pictures under the setting sun!
We couldn't be happier with the wedding memories captured. There are a wide variety of pictures and we will forever treasure them. ❤️❤️
Besides having a great experience with our photographer and videographer, Terry was also very friendly. He was very happy and easy-going and made setting up all the arrangements a piece of cake. He is extremely accommodating to his customers, which speaks volumes.
I'd highly recommend Fred Fox Studios for your photography needs.
Thank you Fred Fox Studios!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Sincerely, Jenny and Tim Paholke

Talk to and very helpful! Truly a pleasure to work with. We had terry for our engagement session and he was wonderful! A great photographer and really easy to work with! Felicia was our wedding photographer and we loved her! She was easy to work with and had great ideas for pictures that should be taken. She took beautiful photos! We truly are so happy we choose Fred Fox!!! We hope we can find a reason to use them again!

utiful pictures. We received a lot of compliments from our guests about how creative they were especially with family photos. We are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Fred Fox.
Fred Fox might be expensive, but it proves the saying "You get what you pay for" to be true. The pictures came out absolutely amazing, the photographer was extremely professional, ...
knew what he was doing, clearly experienced, and got some really fantastic shots. All in all there were over 1,300 pictures from our special day. Thanks to Fred Fox, we have engagement photos and wedding photos that will last a lifetime, and captured our special moments perfectly. Thank you so much!
Working with Fred Fox was easy and always had open communication. With a delay in receiving our prints, Fred Fox was apologetic and quick to get our digital rights and prints out ...
quickly after contact was made. Our photographer was Felicia and she was fantastic! She was attentive and willing to work with our group to get the perfect shot. I would highly recommend her for your wedding!

lling to work payments around my other payments so it made it easier on us. Jim was our photographer and he was amazing!!! He did our engagement as well as our wedding pictures. They both turned out super cute. We got a ton of compliments. He was on point with keeping up with me even when i was being pulled in every direction, and he was able to read when i needed a break. Couldnt have had a better photographer!! He captured one of the happiest days of my life perfectly!

. He was very flexible and answered all of my questions. He answered everything and never once pressured me to buy something I did not need or want. I could not have asked for anyone more knowledgeable in their field. Philip was our photographer. He did an OUTSTANDING job. As a bride you want to look PERFECT. He did exactly that. My husband and I wanted a few special pictures taken and he made sure we got them. We were very impressed with his professionalism and how he made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. He did a truly EXCEPTIONAL job. We are so thankful to have such BEAUTIFUL pictures to remember our wedding! Our pictures will last a lifetime and every time I look at them I know that Fred Fox made our wedding Simply Amazing!!

portant aspects of our wedding and Fred Fox was wonderful. Our photographer's were easy to work with and fun to be around. They came up with some great ideas that we would never have thought of and got a lot of shots of our families and friends. Wonderful pictures of everthing throughout the day. Great shots of my wife and her bridesmaid's getting ready and some really fun pictures of my groomsmen before the ceremony. Thank you for getting so many great shots and also for getting most of our group shots done before dinner so that after dinner we could enjoy drinking and dancing with our friends. We ordered a lot more pictures and albums than we had planned on but there were so many great shots that we had to have more. The albums are beautiful and we know that they will give us a lifetime of memories. We highly recommend Fred Fox photography for weddings and will certainly be recommending them for all of our friends who are still not married.

er that did my sis-in-law's wedding was not available for our date, she suggested several other photographers that had similar styles. We reviewed their portfolios and were extremely pleased with the photographer that was assigned. The work was just as good as my sis-in-law, and in some ways, even better. (Don't tell her). Overall, very satisfied.
My mom used Fred Fox 30 years ago for her wedding and we were looking at her album after we got engaged. I saw the name and we Googled it to see if they were even still in business...
and they were. We loved the consultation with Terry and the staff they sent were super nice. They guided us through everything. They kept the bridal party together for the necessary pictures and then let us enjoy the night.
The pictures and the video are awesome. How cool is it that I used the same company for my wedding that my mom did?

The photographer was incredibly fun to work with, easygoing, very kind, and he made everyone feel relaxed and happy and comfortable.
The company was able to give me the photo CD earlier than the contract stated, because I told them I needed it sooner than the 8 weeks I would have had to wait. (It's usually available 8 weeks after the photo gallery is up for online viewing.)
They were so kind about everything and always very helpful.
The pictures turned out great, very professional. I will say, I have seen better quality pictures but they are still very lovely. I'm happy with them!

, going with Fred Fox for our photography and videography was the best decision we made. The talent and professionalism everyone in the company showed, made everything so easy and beautiful. I could not thank them enough for their creativity and passion. They exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend Fred Fox to family and friends because I know they would be in good hands.

They were so professional and accommodating with our picky video edits and still made a speedy turnaround time given the volume of weddings in the summer. Our photographer Greg was awesome, fun and very attentive to what we wanted. A+++ for Fred Fox

g. She was professional, had great ideas & was willing to work with ideas I got off pinterest. I am over the moon excited about our pictures. Our special day was captured perfectly & our pictures look incredible. They truly captured the moment & magic.
Our videoGrapher was very professional. I love our DVD. It isn't cheesey at all! I'm always afraid of the home movie like video bUT our DVD is incredible. It looks like a movie & my husband & I are the stars.
The customer service was incredible as well. I went to orland and worked with cindy and crystal. They were very nice & helpful. I had many questions & they were knowledgeable with everything. The price is a little high but comparable to others. I do have to say it was worth every cent. I have some friends who have gone with independent photographers & their photos just don't look as nice. The quality isn't there but it definitely is with Fred fox. I highly recommend them! You definitely get what you pay for!

many great shots as possible. He really listened to what pictures I wanted to get. Our videographer Ivan was just as amazing. He was super nice and I felt comfortable the whole night. I was worried that the videographer would be in my face the entire time or that it would get in the way of the guests, but they were wonderful. The equipment wasn't in the way at all. We also ordered a photo booth through them which was a hit with the guests. We only ordered 3 hours of photo booth time, but when everyone was having so much fun my dad asked the woman working the booth (I think it was Laura) to stay. She was kind enough to stay extra time after talking with her boss. Ask for these three by name!

Our photographer Greggory was awesome. He was so friendly and he made everyone have a great time taking pictures. He got all of the shots that we wanted and more. He was worth the price.
I'm only giving 4 stars because we have not heard when our pictures will be ready for us. We had our wedding three weeks ago and I know getting pictures back will take some time especially since it's wedding season, but it would be nice if they could give you an estimate on when you can expect to receive them. Overall, they aren't too bad.
Anna was our photographer! What a great job! She was very sweet and efficient at the same time! I really like an efficient person and I"m picky about that! The pictures turned out ...
great ! Family and friends can't stop talking about how great they look!Prices were reasonable. Me and my husband had a tight budget and they really worked with us. Thank you very much!
We used Joe L. and his wife, Renata, from the Silver Lake, WI location on the recommendation of my cousin and aunts. It was funny to hear at my wedding that my photographers were a...
t my relative's wedding years before. I especially used them because they have done traditional Serbian weddings before and that was important to me. They took a lot of pictures and all of them look absolutely beautiful. They were both so nice and definitely worked their butts off that day. I would definitely recommend them.
Our wedding was in 2013, our photographer was Anna, and Fred Fox was under previous ownership. We LOVED Anna and all of our pictures, they were gorgeous. We did get a good package ...
deal. Unfortunately under the previous ownership the package deal was not clear to us and we did not end up getting things we thought we were getting and it was a nightmare initially. This year Fred Fox came under new ownership and the new owner, Keith, called me personally after finding out about our experience, apologized sincerely, and helped to right the wrong we experienced. I will 100% use this company again after the amazing experience we had under the new ownership and the incredible pictures Anna took for both our engagement and wedding photos. We are extremely impressed with the professionalism and respect given to us 2 years after our wedding. The photography, videography and products offered are high quality and never have I had such honest and courteous contact with an owner of such a large company. Definitely recommend!
When I first started looking for a photographer for our wedding, I was pretty overwhelmed. I found there was such a wide range of prices for photographers and though I didn’t want ...
to cheap out and get crappy photos, I also didn’t want to blow half our budget on one line item.
I ended up talking to three studios. The last person I talked to was Carol from the Fred Fox studio in Schaumburg. Carol was a breath of fresh air. She didn’t make me feel pressured to book right away like the other studios, and I loved her no-nonsense personality. Once we did book, Carol asked me questions about what I was looking for in our wedding photos and then showed me some photographer’s portfolios. In the end, we went with photographer Gregory D.
I loved Gregory from the second we met him for our engagement photo session. He’s super chill, has a great sense of humor and obviously knows what he’s doing. Gregory was a hit at our wedding, too. I still have people telling me how much they liked him. Plus, our photos turned out fantastic. I can’t wait to put together our wedding album!
I would not recommend Fred Fox photography. We thought our photographer did a nice job; however, their customer service is awful. I would not want anyone to deal with the poor se...
rvice we have received. There are so many other great services out there!
Great value!!!!! Very professional!!
They looked like they do good work.
We used Fred Fox's services for photography only and purchased our digital copies to own. They let you look at all their photographers' work and choose your top three and they will...
pick your photographer out of those. Our photographer was Joe P. He had no idea where to shoot at our outdoor locale (a golf course) and did not show up early, gather information beforehand or call the venue to find out good places. He asked us if we were up for "fun" photographs, and we said of course, but the his definition of fun did not line up with anyone else's. The "fun" photos were awkward for everyone involved and I did not make them available to anyone to buy, so it was time wasted. He also called me by the wrong name and seemed generally ill-prepared. Despite all this, the pictures turned out pretty good and he stayed later than I expected, getting family portraits and more photos of the reception. He did also take all the photos I asked him to take, so that was good. I would not recommend leaving your pictures to be purchased from Fred Fox's website because they are very expensive compared to Walgreens or Shutterfly-type places. Their payment plan included three payments before our wedding and one payment when we got our photos. We were told we would get our photos 3-4 weeks after our wedding. I called the Monday after the 4 weeks were up and the photos were posted later that night, showing that if you want them, you're going to have to ask for them, especially during a busy wedding season. In all, I would say I'm satisfied, but doing pictures was not the most fun they could have been and they don't really reflect our personalities in any way.
