He sent us samples and rundowns, he ran through timelines on countless occasions, he showed up 6 hours early on the day-of - all to make sure our special day was as magical as possible. From the minute the ceremony began, to the last possible second on the dance floor, our guests were wildly entertained! Frederick learned every single detail about our relationships with our closest friends and family, so that he could set the mood with beautiful stories and funny quips prior to every special moment. Hearts were so full before the 2 MOH's ever reached the mic because of the introduction Frederick made; the room was in stitches before the Best Man ever reached the mic because of the introduction Frederick made; and there wasn't a dry eye in the house prior to, or during, my first dance with my dad because of the introduction Frederick made. I have never witnessed a wedding where a DJ made such an incredible impact to the party off of the dance floor <3 it was utterly incredible, and it's a testament to his character that he goes this extra mile. I then wanted to use an instrumental song for my bridesmaids and my walk down the aisle, and Fred was able to digitally edit the music to make it the correct length, loop certain parts to allow for time before my bridal entrance. He has a whole science behind playing music to get people on the dance floor (and keeping them there) and he had the dance floor PACKED!! super nervous for my wedding because I was afraid that people wouldn't dance. But, Fred was able to take the playlist I gave him and get a feel for what kind of music my guests and I would enjoy dancing to the most. He's very skilled at getting a feel for the room and picking his music accordingly. I ended up dancing just about the whole night (I only took breaks to say "hi" to a few people and eat some dessert!), and all my guests had a great time. I had so much fun on my wedding day, and I attribute a lot of that to the great music choices Fred made. Thank you Fred, and to all you brides out there, do yourself a favor and hire him as your DJ!

As for the party, the dance floor was packed throughout the evening. It was truly the best night of our lives and made possible by the talent and hard work of Fred. He was very reassuring as the day got closer when I started panicking about the thousands of song choices and put my mind at ease. He helped me create a great selection for my ceremony and reception. On the day of the wedding Fred surpassed my expectations. When he found out that the groom’s family came from overseas (Spain and Morocco) he effortlessly greeted all the guests in English, Spanish and even Arabic. All announcements that he made throughout the night were made in English and Spanish, which put a smile on everyone’s face. The extra effort of speaking Spanish made it that much more fun for our out of town family. Even non Spanish speaking guests commented on how lucky we were to have a DJ that could include everyone in the party. He played the perfect selection of music to keep the dancing going all night. Admittedly I was worried about our demographic (lots of my parents’ friends), but Fred had every single guest on the dance floor at some point during the night. All in all, Fred was eager to make our reception everything we could ask for and more. With all of the stress of wedding planning, it really was a relief to be able to trust a professional like Fred and enjoy the reception we had been planning for so long! You won’t be disappointed!

We're pretty unconventional people and Fred never batted an eyelash when it came to our unusual requests…just to give you an idea: the bride wore black, the bride and groom wore matching boots, the bridal party walked into the Jurassic Park theme song, the bride was ushered in by her parents to The Kinks "All Day and All of the Night" and we walked out to The Darkness "I Believe In a Thing Called Love". Everything was timed perfectly and the equipment was top notch, because everyone could actually hear what was going on! Mind you, this is no easy task to do at an outside venue in Fairmount Park. He was incredibly responsive and helpful in orchestrating a plan for the day and also had very insightful suggestions to make sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. The cocktail hour and reception were equally as great as the ceremony. Fred was incredibly attentive, and never let anything slip past him…we didn't have a lot of the normal wedding reception things planned and wanted to let everything happen organically - and they totally did - thanks to Fred. Anything impromptu was only allowed to happen with our approval, and we're very grateful for that-it gave us peace of mind to know that we could rely on someone to run the show without any unwanted surprises. When all was said and done, we couldn't have been happier with Fred's service. He truly made our day one of the most memorable times that we were able to share with our friends and family - and for that Fred, we are eternally grateful. Not to mention the ceremony was outside and the sound system sounded great in the outdoor space. We told Fred exactly what we envisioned and he made it happen with our music styles and genres and ideas for the cocktail hour and reception. Fred has an outstanding voice and it is very easy to hear him speak. He doesn't do any of that crap that makes him sound like a sports announcer (prolonging and holding out people's names when announcing them). Fred also makes sure he knows how to pronounce everyone's names. At his suggestion, we had a few rounds of calls to review everything before the wedding so he made sure it was all correct. Whatever the bride says, goes. He won't play something you don't want if someone else requests it. We had the crowd on the dance floor the entire night. Lastly, Fred was super professional and easy to work with. Like I said before, you give him your vision, and he makes sure it happens. He has the equipment you need for every part of your day and will make sure it's perfect. HIRE HIM!

in Guatemala and planning for a wedding in Philadelphia. He gave us all sorts of options for getting in touch with him whenever we had questions. He even Skyped with us when we were in Guatemala! We hired Fred for his DJ services and for his lighting package. We could not have picked a better DJ. He played the perfect type of songs for everything from the cocktail hour, during dinner time, and the dancing! He had people on the dance floor from the moment dinner was finished until the very end of the night. He even had the people in line for the photo booth dancing! He played the perfect combination of music for the guests at my wedding. He took care of everything throughout the entire night. He even checked in with us a couple of times throughout the night very briefly to make sure we had everything that we needed. As for the lighting package, I was a little hesitant at first because I was not sure if we wanted a lighting package, but I am glad that we went with it. My wedding was over the holidays, so I asked Fred to use red and green lights, and I was a little skeptical at first. I was not sure what I was getting myself into, but I am so happy that we got the lighting package. The lights completely transformed the room into a more elegant space, and I would highly recommend the lighting package! My husband is sort of a technology dork and is really into premium sound systems for our house and car. While I like good sounding music, I don’t have the same level of appreciation as he does. Fred had a sound system that was absolutely superb for the dance floor area. It was not your typical concert style stereo system that has bass overpowering all the other vocals or notes. It was very pleasant and perfectly balanced as if it were a recording studio that had capabilities of higher volumes without any distortions or altered frequencies caused from ghetto systems that are severely underpowered. My husband claims to have seen many systems and at first glance he was concerned at the small and sleek size of the system Fred had set up. But, with great technology comes a new wave of electronic systems that has the quality of another level with half the size. To go along with the sound system, my grandfather had planned to sing and play his guitar for my father/daughter dance. Again, my husband had to express how amazing my grandfather sounded on this system that the DJ had. There was no reverb, static, popping, heavy gain sounds, etc. that you would normally hear when plugging in a guitar and microphone to a big system. It sounded so amazing and so much better than even two days prior when he was singing and playing at our Christmas party. My only reservation is that my husband is now wanting a system like Fred’s for our house because ours is now under par. All in all, Fred was an excellent DJ, and we are so happy that we went with him. We could not have picked a better choice! He was personable but not pushy, and he made us feel very comfortable from the time we first contacted him all the way through the end of our wedding night.

He sent a spreadsheet of some of the most popular songs of all time, and my fiancee and I spent about an hour highlighting our favorites. It was so easy and Fred did the rest of the research finding songs in a similar style. Our wedding day was so stress free because Fred didn't need any guidance and set up his equipment and got the music started like a pro. He did the music for our cocktail hour, dinner and reception and the sound level and music selection were perfect. Fred's fabulous wedding party introductions, hilarious jokes during the garter toss and smooth transitions between events demonstrated his skill as an experienced and classy DJ. I cant' say enough good things about his work at my wedding. All of my guests were very impressed and I had several engaged friends ask for his business card. Fred didn't stop working after my wedding. I came back from my honeymoon to a great surprise...I couldn't afford a videographer for my wedding so Fred video taped our reception and promised to send me a DVD of our wedding reception!!! I was extremely impressed by Fred's professionalism, ability to keep my guests dancing and eagerness to go above and beyond to make our wedding day special.

I was his “queen” for the day! So besides all of the above accolades, let me tell you how our wedding day went... FLAWLESSLY! After over a year of planning, everything rushes at once and you are now a part of a whirlwind that is your wedding day. There were times that I tried to step back and appreciate the moment, but it’s difficult to take everything in. So with everything going on around me and my new hubby, there were two things that I am forever grateful that DJ Fred provide to me: Piece of mind and a fabulous time! DJ Fred is based out of Philadelphia, which was almost 3 hours away and in a completely different state then my wedding venue- I was truly worried that I would have to settle for a local Delaware DJ(not the best selection). However DJ Fred, made the trip, was punctual and immediately set up for our outside ceremony and inside reception. He provided all state of the art equipment, i.e. cordless mics, lighting systems. It was such a relief to have that much trust in a vendor, he beyond delivered! Also DJ Fred is a wedding DJ only---note to other brides, this is a must in a DJ. You do not want someone who does this on the side or at similar kinds of events, because weddings are beast of their own. There is a certain finesse and amount of class needed for such a special event. I found DJ Fred to look the part too (very clean cut and professional), since we were having the wedding at our families country club. ALL of our quests have been talking about how “fun” our wedding was…not the food, not the flowers, not the favors, not the placement cards. The wedding held the same strong momentum throughout its duration, truly because of the music selection, which got everyone on the dance floor- oldies my grandmom loved and fresh current music I listen to now. I guess what I loved the most was how natural the night flowed- there were no forced games or tacky dances, it was just good music for good times. The first thing my mom said to me once we returned from our honeymoon and were reminiscing about the day, was how fabulous DJ Fred was and how much our family had fun dancing. My friends are all requesting his name. I can truly say with 110% confidence, DJ Fred made my wedding day what it was- a moment in time that I, with my husband, family and friends, will forever remember as one of the happiest and entertaining days of my life!
