I initially booked Kate because of her portfolio and how incredible it was and then I spoke to her on the phone. I truly feel like Kate was a woman I had known my entire life. She is such a beautiful person both inside and out. On top of that, she delivers!! The pictures from our engagement shoot and sneak peaks from our wedding have been absolutely spectacular. She was recommended by the Beauport Hotel and I would recommend her to everyone! My best advice as a bride is to find an amazing photographer because everything will fall into place after that. Kate is the reason for that. She helped with the rundown of the day, the schedule, what we needed to bring and where. I wouldn't have had such a seamless day without her!

Working with Kate from Freebird was an absolute dream. From our engagement photo session we knew we loved her but she really blew us away on our wedding day. We got married in downtown Boston and the city was extremely busy as we went out to take pictures, Kate managed to stay calm, focused and keep our entire wedding party on task for every single picture. She scoped out multiple location shots for us prior to our wedding day and we only have our sneak peek back but we can already tell that the pictures are going to be perfect. Kate is such an amazing and sweet person and she made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. She was flexible as multiple family members were asking her to take pictures and our entire wedding parties and families just loved her. We are so happy we hired Freebird to capture our wedding day and if you’re considering anyone else we would highly recommend choosing Freebird. Kate is truly such a gem and we are so happy we chose her!

Kate was our photography for our wedding in January 2022 and she is AMAZING. She traveled up to Chittenden, VT for us and dealt with the coldest wedding day ever without ever complaining. We always wanted a snowy winter wedding and dreamed of sunny blue skies, which is what we had, but also it was -30. That did not stop Kate from doing outdoor photos with us. She powered through, told us to think warm thoughts and did not complain once. She also just made it so much fun for everyone. Kate told us exactly where to go, what to do, how to pose so that we could have the photos we wanted without spending hours of our day taking pictures. We received a sneak peek album within 2 days of our wedding and they are incredibly clear, bright and natural looking. She truly is the BEST and is so professional, but laid back and fun. I felt like she was one of our friends also there to celebrate with us, even though we had never met her until that day!! Cannot recommend her enough, we just loved her!

Kate is the BEST of the BEST. We hired her for our wedding and engagement photos and I can't say enough good things. She is an expert in her craft and is extremely kind, professional and communicative throughout the entire process. For two awkward people who normally hate being in front of the camera, she made us feel so comfortable and gave direction to us every step of the way. I've been in a lot of weddings and have never seen the attention to detail that Kate has. She lets you know when a hair is out of place or if your hand needs to be in your pocket, it was so easy working with her! Our photos that she took blew our expectations away. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a wedding photographer or any type of photographer in between!

I cannot say enough about Kate - my husband and I absolutely adored her (and so did our entourage of a 22 person bridal party). Kate is so talented, personable, kind, professional, and really took the time to get to know my husband and I before the big day - I felt like I had known her forever. She was on the ball, interactive and so flexible - we had originally had two photographers - Kate ended up being on her own on our wedding day and absolutely CRUSHED it. I have not stopped staring at the photographs (which she got to us the next day!!). She is simply amazing and incredible to work with. It was a party all day!

Kate is a 10/10 in every category. Right from the beginning of planning our wedding, she was incredibly responsive, professional, and warm. Her photos are absolutely beautiful, and she makes you feel comfortable taking photos even if you are typically uncomfortable doing so. Kate. I’ve struggled to find the words to express how amazing, genuine, talented, sincere and loving Kate is as a person, friend and photographer. The list goes on! From the very beginning when she gets to know you through email, you can feel her vibes of how genuinely excited she is and how calm, cool and collected she is as a photographer. The engagement shoot was something my fiancé DREADED as all men typically do. She guided us through our photo shoot with ease and set up the cutest set up with champagne and music that just made you feel so happy and relaxed!! Fast forward to the wedding she was one of the people I was most excited to see!! Our wedding pictures are beyond my expectations. Her and Micayla were there but you didn’t even notice! They captured every special moment. Kate is SO responsive with emails, we had our wedding album in less than a month and access to photos is so easy!! I feel genuinely lucky to know Kate as a person and have her as a memory of our special day. We 100000% will use Kate again in the future. I will forever recommend Kate for any project!! Her talents are unmatched.

My advice to my daughter is that the two most important people at your wedding are your photographer and your DJ. Well Freebird Photography (Kate) is THAT person!!!! My daughter is a private, yet stunningly beautiful person. Kate was basically invisible throughout much of the wedding. Yes we had the posed pics, but she and her assistant were often undetected getting intimate and candid pictures. She knew my daughter and her now husband by taking the time to get to know them! Their engagement photos were stunning, I honestly cannot pic a favorite. The wedding photos.....well I downloaded them all and there are a ton!!! We were able to share the album with those involved in the wedding! The time and effort of each photo only gets better with the subtle editing! I hope to keep Kate in our family as we grow and get her to capture important events as we grow. You CANNOT go wrong choosing Kate. If you need more reassurance just check out her instagram. Oh and to the chick in NY who gave a one star review....did you seriously expect someone to travel all that distance without compensting them for their time and travel? No one stars here! Kate carries herself with integrity, honesty, and professionalism. If you want to have the photographer of your dreams, choose Freebird Photography!!!

Kate is absolutely incredible. She was the first vendor we hired for our wedding based on the work we had seen her do for several of our friends. Her work really speaks for itself - the pictures are beyond amazing. We get SO many compliments both on our engagement photos and our wedding photos. Kate's talent and skill is absolutely the best out there. Working with Kate was also a total pleasure - we had to switch our venue 3 times due to Covid restrictions changing and she was so great and so flexible with each move. She has such a laid-back and positive attitude, it will put you at ease and allow you to actually be yourselves in the photos! It was so great that she got to know us and what we liked for our style of photos. We ended up booking the most comprehensive package - I think it is 10 hours with Kate and 7 hours with a second shooter. It was 100% worth the price, Kate's prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of work she produces. Your photographer is one of the only vendors you book for your wedding whose product lasts beyond that day, so this vendor selection was the most important to us. I cannot recommend Kate enough for the amazing photos, and also for her support and positive energy throughout the day! Book her quickly because I have already referred her to a bunch of engaged friends who asked for her info! Kate thank you so much for the beautiful and timeless photos and for being a very important part in making our wedding day stress-free and so much fun!

We hired Freebird for our wedding photography and engagement shoot and she is AMAZING. Kate is passionate, empathetic, professional (yet so fun and down to earth) and dedicated to her craft--she just totally GETS it. Not to mention her unique eye and approach. She captured our day better than I could have ever imagined and she truly went above and beyond, not only in the photos taken but in the helpful hand she played through the whole process. She was a thoughtful sounding board and guide and honestly I don’t think the day would have been as much of a success without her. It’s also worth mentioning my husband (then fiancé) is NOT someone who is at all comfortable in front of a camera. Getting him to even agree to an engagement shoot was a task in itself… With Kate he felt totally comfortable and himself and I believe that her personality and approach put him totally at ease giving us photos that we love and an experience we will always remember. It’s safe to say we are customers for life, I couldn’t imagine trusting anyone else with life’s important moments and I can’t wait for our next shoot with Kate. If you are deciding on who to hire for your big day I highly recommend you book with Freebird— you won’t find a more talented, professional, reliable & compassionate photographer out there.

Major red flags, would read this review before hiring Kate as your photographer for your wedding. My fiance and I hired Kate for our wedding in 2022 (signed contract and all) because of her beautiful photos and seemingly great reviews. After simply inquiring about negotiating travel fees for her to come to NYC to take our engagement photos or figure out other options like flying (her travel fees are quite steep), out of the blue she emailed us saying she felt that we were not a good fit and that we didn't value her time. Kate then felt that it was in her best interest to cancel our contract. Quite frankly, we were initially super excited to work with her, so this was shocking. Given how everything went down, we would definitely NOT recommend hiring someone so unprofessional and not dependable for your wedding day.

Freebird Photography (aka Kate) is extraordinary. Kate shot our engagement/save the date pictures and covered our entire wedding. It is hard for me to find the words to describe her eye behind the lens. Kate is able to find every single perfect angle at the perfect light and at the correct moment. We have wedding photos that we are going to gush over for the rest of our lives. Not only is her work unbelievable, her personality will want you to take her home with you. She is so kind, professional, fun and by the end of the shoot you feel so comfortable, you wish there was more time. There is no one else I would trust to capture the important memories. Kate is absolutely incredible. When we first started tackling wedding planning we started with finding a photographer. Kate's work is HANDS DOWN the best. Freebird Photography (Kate) was our photographer for our engagement shoot and our wedding day. Kate is THE REASON my husband and I felt that our wedding day was a success. She was THE VENDOR to hire and work with. Kate is professional yet fun and makes you feel comfortable enough to let loose and just be yourself in front of the camera. My family and wedding guests could not praise her enough. We had to change everything about our wedding plans due to COVID-19 and Kate never skipped a beat. I was constantly updating schedule of events and she would make the changes necessary to make sure we could get the time and the shots that we wanted. To top it all off, we had to change plans again because it decided to pour rain all day on 10.16.2020. Kate was always calm and supportive and got creative with where to shoot our wedding photos. Working with Kate was truly the best experience. We hired her right away when we began planning, as I had been following her on social media long before myself and my now husband were even engaged. Kate's style is beautifully airy and fresh, something that I know will be timelessly beautiful for years to come as we look back on our photos. We did an engagement session on the beach back in September of 2019, and Kate made us feel so comfortable. The photos were everything we hoped for and more. Fast forward to pandemic 2020 where we had to change up our plans multiple times due to covid. Kate was beyond supportive, flexible, and helpful to us during all the uncertainty. We finally decided to a do a small wedding in August 2020. Kate captured our day so beautifully. She is truly such a lovely person to be around and seamlessly captured every special moment of the day. Looking at our complete album now, we could not be happier with our decision to work with Kate. My husband and I got married a few short months ago and we cannot say enough about Kate (owner) and Freebird! Her photos are out of this world and she captures so much raw emotion and beauty when she is behind the camera. Choosing Freebird as my wedding photographer was easily the best choice I made for my wedding. From the beginning, Kate was quick to respond to emails and gave detailed answer to any questions I had. During our engagement session, I got the sense of just how much Kate loves what she does. She helped us brainstorm location ideas, showed up equiped with props, made us feel extremely comfortable and gave us pictures that perfectly representated us as a couple. Leading up to the wedding, Kate was helpful with creating our timeline and also flexible with the fact that we were getting ready in two different hotels. On the day of our wedding, we were lucky enough to get a crazy summer storm about 20 min before our outdoor ceremony was set to start. While everyone pushed me to bring the wedding inside, Kate supported my crazy decision to get married in the rain. She even brought along the most perfect clear umbrellas. Keeping the bride dry? Major bonus points. The storm turned into a light drizzle and she was able to bust out all of our family and bridal party shots and get everyone inside quickly and efficiently. She didn't let the rain phase her and honestly the end result was incredible (and received in a very timely manner). They say a good wedding photographer can really make or break your day, I could not have been happier to have had Kate there on my big day.

Kate was absolutely amazing from the first email to the very end of our wedding night! She was so fun and calm at the same time- helping the event to run so smoothly. Choosing Kate as our wedding photographer was the best decision we could have made. From engagement photos, to boudoir (she made me feel SO comfortable!), to wedding, she was amazing every step of the way. She is a true talent. If I could give Kate more than 5 starts, I would! As soon as we saw Kate's gallery, we knew we had to book her. When we meet her in person for the first time, it solidified our thoughts! A true boss lady who busts ass to make sure every element is perfect! She is professional and kind. We had our photos just over a month from our wedding and they were perfect. Friends who used other photographers had to wait months to receive theirs. BOOK Kate- you won't regret it!

Kate was the absolute BEST photographer (and vendor in general) to work with. Not only do her pictures speak for themselves (amazing), but she was SO communicative throughout the entire process. Unlike other vendors, I never had to wonder why she wasn't responsive, where we were in the process, what she was thinking as far as inspo, etc. Also, I had very specific goals in mind for my engagement and wedding photos and she nailed everything! She was also super flexible about photo schedule and making sure we got to enjoy as much of our cocktail hour as possible. On top of all of that, she was willing ear to vent and get support and friendship of during the whole day of the wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Kate and Freebird Photography :) Pictures from our engagement session and our wedding were all captured in such a beautiful way and will always be cherished by us. Freebird had been one of my favorite photographers during my wedding search. I was looking forward to communicating and speaking with the owner about the studio. It took Kate almost an entire week to respond to my email- which finally came at 1am, to only tell me she was unavailable. Disappointing and unprofessional.
