My husband and I hired Freeport Bakery for our wedding that took place on October 1, 2023. The wedding department, Avery and Susan, were easy to communicate with and get a hold of leading up the wedding. We had a one tiered cake and dessert bar, all which looked and tasted amazing. We had many guests compliment how delicious the dessert were. We would highly recommend Freeport Bakery for your wedding day dessert!

We recently used Freeport Bakery for our wedding. Everything was so easy and fun: from the tasting, to the consultation, to the day of the wedding. We did a small cake and a large dessert bar with cupcakes, small dessert items, and chocolate dipped pretzels. Everything was delicious and beautifully displayed. We received so many compliments on the dessert. They also do a mini anniversary cake, which were are looking forward to next year. We would highly recommend Freeport Bakery!

We used Freeport Bakery for our wedding cake and they did not disappoint. The whole tasting experience and meeting with the cake designer was fun and there were so many things we could customize. The cake itself was beautiful and absolutely delicious! We were able to do two different filling flavors with the cake and buttercream and it made for a really fun, spring-time cake. We got SO many compliments on the cake and we froze it and ate it for weeks after the wedding! We are so excited to get our anniversary mini cake on our first anniversary! We also got the eclairs and lemon bars from them which almost completely gone by the end of the night! Our cake did slide, as our venue was a few minutes past their recommended distance, and the planner who picked it up drove it for us, so our florist added some flowers to hide it, but you never would have known, and it still tasted incredible!

We've been customers of Freeport Bakery for years (the fruit tart is my husband's go-to "birthday cake"; the shadow fresa is his sister's favorite) and made the excellent decision to order our wedding cake and dessert bar through them, for our wedding at Scribner Bend on 6/10/2023. The process was super straightforward. We did an at-home tasting to decide on what cake flavors and dessert bar items we wanted. We then had a phone consultation where we reviewed the ordering process, quantities of each item, and payment specifics. The paperwork and payments were exactly as expected. We ended up with more "yes" RSVPs than expected and Freeport was able to accommodate a larger cake and more dessert bar items than originally anticipated, with no fuss. Averi and Susan were so professional and knowledgeable. I never felt like they were trying to sell us more, and at the same time there was no issue when I asked to bump up the size of our order only a few weeks before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, the delivery was super smooth, with no involvement on our end. The cake looked exactly how we had requested, and tasted fantastic. We got the lemon poppyseed cake with strawberry cream filling and Italian buttercream frosting, which was perfect for a summer wedding. The dessert bar items (lemon bars, cream puffs, fruit tarts, two kinds of cookie) were devoured by our guests in record time. Every item was well received. I'm so glad that we ordered our wedding desserts through Freeport Bakery, and highly recommend them for anyone planning their wedding.

Their desserts were absolutely fantastic and delicious! Their communication was amazing and got back to us in a very timely manner. My brother recommended them to us from their wedding and man oh man was it the perfect choice!

Averie and Susan at the wedding team were great to work with and helped us design the custom cake of our dreams! The guests raved about the poppyseed and buttermilk layers.

I worked with the wedding department at Freeport Bakery for several years as we were one of the many couples that rescheduled our wedding three times during the COVID 19 pandemic. Each time we rescheduled the bakery was more than supportive and understanding. They worked with us each year to confirm every little detail of the cake design and flavors. The cake was a perfect center piece to our special day. I couldn’t believe how the cake looked just as I imagined. And SO many compliments from the wedding guests on the delectable flavors. We were very happy with our Wedding Cake and the other desserts we ordered, including Fruit Tarts, Napoleons, Cookies, and Pretzels dipped in chocolate. Everything tasted delicious and looked exactly like we had hoped it would.

Freeport Bakery cakes is such a staple for anyone who grew up in Sacramento and they were such a great vendor for our wedding cake (we went with a small cutting cake for ourselves) and dessert table. They were a recommended vendor by not only our planner but also our venue. All the different options we tried in our tasting box were amazing that it was difficult to narrow down our final selection. They were great partners in giving guidance on the appropriate amount we needed to buy for the guest count we had. We received so many compliments on our dessert table. The strawberry shortcake cup was a personal favorite of mine! Highly recommend going with Freeport Bakery for your next event!

The outer buttercream frosting was hard, same with the center buttercream frosting, and the cake was tasteless. It was stale . Brides beware!

Freeport made us amazing wedding cake & surprised groom cake. We were able to make our own custom flavors and match our personalities. Susan was super responsive and was VERY easy to work with. I can’t wait to have another reason to order a cake

Freeport Bakery never fails to live up its reputation. Our wedding cake was absolutely stunning and delicious. Prior to our wedding day, we had to make some last-minute changes which the staff was patient with. I so recommend this vendor to anyone who wsnts to display an elegant and delicious dessert.

I loved Freeport Bakery even before hiring them for our wedding desserts and they were amazing like always! We decided to go with a smaller cake and then a dessert bar (cupcakes, cookies, fruit tarts and chocolate covered pretzels). What sold my husband on them was being able to do the sampler and having the variety of options (plus he loves fruit tarts!). The table display was beautiful and was "destroyed" by guests before we could take a picture of it all. Everything was delicious!

Our cake and dessert bar were amazing. We ordered a cutting cake as well as cookies and brownies and could not be happier. My cake was exactly as envisioned and so many people came up to compliment us on the cake decor as well as the delicious cookies. Could not be happier. They delivered and set up without issue and also provide a small cake for your one year anniversary which I am excited and looking forward to :)

Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous! And the best tasting cake I've ever had! Was delivered as planned. I would absolutely recommend this bakery for wedding cakes. I go back occasionally for special events and birthdays. The seasonal cakes are offered at reasonable prices. I can't help not getting other small treats while I'm there. The cookies, brownies, and dump cakes are amazing! Definitely a life-long loyal customer.

The most delicious wedding cake and desserts ever! From our first tasting day to our wedding day (which was postponed twice!), Freeport remained in communication, was professional, and delivered deliciousness! We could not be more happy with how the cake turned out both visually and taste-wise. We love this bakery and will surely return for more!

Freeport Bakery was recommended to us by Park Winters for our wedding and we're glad that we went with them! Due to covid, Freeport was only able to offer a to-go tasting, but we were still able to try all of the cake and frosting flavors that we wanted. They included a piece of each cake type and a dollop of each frosting type, so that we could mix and match. Susan called us a few days later and we discussed our preferences and found out we could choose two flavors for our two-tiered cake (perfect considering my husband and I had different favorites) - the whole process was super easy and reasonably affordable. They were able to accommodate a somewhat last-minute change request from a pickup to a delivery. The cake was delicious and beautiful! Unfortunately, the first cut my husband and I made into the cake was right where the stick was to hold the two tiers together, so it made for a funny time trying to get our slice out. Overall, would recommend!

They made a very abrupt and rude call to my wife (the bride). We already put a down payment on the cake but they were threatening to cancel it unless we made plans to pick it up. This was a month or so before the wedding. Made my wife cry. They didn’t have a box or anything to put the cake in when we picked it up...... rude and entitled staff.

Our wedding cake was not only delicious, but it was also a work of art! Couldn’t have asked for more! Freeport bakery seriously made our dreams into a reality. I would highly recommend them!

We used Freeport Bakery for our wedding this week. Planning and tasting with Amy and Susan went well and we were very excited! When we arrived to pick-up the cake, the bakers were clearly disorganized and rushing people in and out. They couldn't find our order. Then they told us that our cake wasn't planned for pickup until the following day, even though we had the paperwork that said otherwise. They apologized, said they would have the cake ready in 30 minutes. Okay, that's fine. When we picked up the cake, the design was wrong, and the cake was clearly rushed and looked messy. Sure, it tasted good, but presentation and timeliness are extremely important for a wedding. My wife cried, which is the last thing I wanted to see on our wedding day. Freeport seems to be biting-off more than they can chew, unfortunately. Definitely use at your own risk for big or special events right now.

We had a 2-tier wedding cake that made for a beautiful centerpiece on our desserts table for our wedding. We were so pleased with the care and attention that went into the details on the cake and the safe delivery as well. Our son was actually the one who selected the flavors for the cake and was the first one to take a bite - it made for a precious family moment that we won’t ever forget. Despite having to change a lot of things due to Covid-19, we were so happy we were still able to have our cake and dessert bar items made by Freeport. Their desserts never disappoint and we’re a huge hit at our wedding. Our cake was beautiful and delicious. Can not recommend them enough!

We got married a few weeks ago at the Old Sugar Mill, and Freeport Bakery provided the most incredible desserts! First - we loved our tasting. The way Freeport sets up their cake tastings is so fun, we got to mix and match all the flavors we wanted to come up with the pairing that worked best for us. Our cake was a huge hit, and it was simply beautiful and delish. We also ordered caramel and strawberry cupcakes for the wedding and we received lots of complements about how amazing everything tasted. Freeport was so easy to work with, and we can’t wait to order more cupcakes for all our big life events along the way. We recommend Freeport for any event you might be planning - they’re so professional and lovely to work with, and their cakes are amazing! You won’t regret it :)

Our experience with Freeport bakery was awesome! They made planning a wedding from out of town super easy. They understood our vision and listened to everything we wanted. We did a two tier cake with fresh florals on top and sheet cakes. We chose a few different flavors because we couldn’t just choose one, they were all delicious! They are reasonable in price, very professional, and make some delicious and beautiful cakes! Thank you!!

Poor customer service, we ordered 150 cupcakes and a single tier topper cake. FIRST, I got about 10 emails to ensure my order was correct, each time there was something wrong that I had to fix. NEXT, I paid a $45 delivery fee for what I assumed would be a professional delivery, NOPE, it was delivered in someones personal vehicle and the cupcakes had already started melting when they arrived, so in all of our wedding photos we have melting cupcakes and a melting cake. LAST, the cakes colors were literally WRONG, they put a giant gold stripe on my cake when I specifically asked for it to not be on there and it was written clearly in the contract, not to mention I had no gold in my wedding so it completely clashed with my silver accents. To say the least, I was beyond disappointed, because when it is wrong on the day of, there is literally nothing that can be done to fix it. The only reason I am giving more than one star is because at least the cake tasted good.

Our cake was delicious and looked beautiful! We always live Freeport’s desserts and out expectations were met on this special occasion.

Freeport did our wedding cake and dessert tarts. Everything was beautiful and delicious! We wanted a one tier wedding cake and assorted desserts for our reception. They have a really great selection, whether you want a traditional multi-tier cake or lots of yummy items or both! They did a great job with the color of our cake too; the ombré design matched our flowers nicely. Thanks to Haley and Shelby for helping us plan everything! I wish we could have packed a few extra tarts for our honeymoon!

Freeport provided our wedding cake and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Our tasting was led by Shelby, who was very friendly and professional. We chose a three tier semi-nude cake that we had them decorate with fall fruit. We got a lot of compliments on the cake look and taste. We threw in an order of vegan chocolate cupcakes for our vegan guests. Many people commented on how delicious the cupcakes were and were shocked when we told them they were vegan. The entire process with Freeport bakery was very easy, the price was affordable, and the cake and cupcakes were amazing!

Such an amazing wedding vendor to work with! Beginning to end, I knew they had everything situated. I didn’t need to worry about them showing up or being unprepared. I loved everything! The cake and cupcakes are amazing, the staff was so friendly upon delivery, and it’s extremely affordable!! Will book again for any event!

Our wedding cake from Freeport was delicious and was easily my favorite of all the desserts we had at the wedding! They were great at communicating with us as well as switching things to fit our needs. They provided a great service to us during the tasting as well!

We could not be happier with our wedding cake! The coordinators were so much fun to work with, and they designed a gorgeous cake that was perfect for a July wedding in Sacramento. Not only was it absolutely beautiful, but it tasted amazing! So flavorful and fresh!

Freeport is amazing! I used Freeport for mini cookies, and a cake for my husband and I to cut at our wedding. I ordered everything via email and picked it up the day before my wedding. The staff was very responsive and easy to work with. The cookies and cake stood up beautifully to the three hour drive to our venue and looked and tasted great the next evening. We ordered mini peanut butter cookies, chocolate dipped shortbread cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. We got a buttermilk cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. I sent pictures of the design I wanted and it came out great! I am very happy with the service and desserts. The only thing I didn't love was the price for the small cake I ordered. $65 for a 6 inch, single layer vanilla cake, with a simple design seems like a lot to me. However, that is the going rate for wedding cakes and I didn't want to make it myself, so what can you do? P.S. their morning bun is my favorite weekend breakfast!

Mini cupcakes were delicious! Our guests loved the bite-sized desserts. We found working with freeport to be so easy and their prices are more reasonable than other bakeries we considered. We'd absolutely recommend them to any bride and groom!

We had a 3 tiered cake from Freeport for our wedding in March. We got many compliments on it, and a few people said it was the best wedding cake they've every tasted! I wanted fresh flowers on our cake, and I misunderstood the paperwork and thought that the bakery provided the flowers. Upon delivery, I realized it was a plain cake with no flowers! She was able to pull some flowers from my bridesmaids' bouquets, and the cake ended up looking perfect!

We had Freeport Bakery do our wedding cake in December. Our guests all said it was delicious and we got many compliments on it. The cake was beautiful, but it was not quite what we asked for. One of the tiers was supposed to be white with a mauve marble design. It was pretty much completely pink. There was so many pink lines on it, it looked solid pink. Did not look marble at all. Anyways, it was still beautiful and delicious. Just make sure you give an exact picture if you have a specific vision for your design. The staff at Freeport bakery were friendly and were very responsive to my emails.

Freeport bakery made my cake for my wedding in April. We did a two tiered cutting cake with cupcakes for all of the guests. The vanilla buttercream and the chocolate were really delicious, light with a rich frosting. For the cutting cake, I gave them a photo of what I wanted it to look like and they nailed it. For a small fee, they delivered to my venue in Lodi for me, which really took the stress away. They were easy to work with and communicated well. Also, I grew up eating sugar cookies and other sweet treats at Freeport Bakery, so to be able to get my wedding cake here felt so special!

We purchased 11 eight inch cakes from Freeport to use as centerpieces of our wedding guest tables. There was 10 flavors total (one was bride & groom cake). The cakes were beautiful and tasted amazing. Guests were very happy to go from table to table trying all the different flavors.

Customer service is top notch, they don't rush or pressure you and treat you like a valued client. They listen to what you want and help design your perfect cake! Freeport Bakery is one of my husbands favorites so when it came time to choose a cake Freeport was top of the list. They were amazing to work with. The created exactly what I had envisioned and the cake was delicious! We got a small cake for us to cut and sheet cake for our guests. We did the fruit basket sheet cake and everyone LOVED it. I had many of our guests come up to me telling me how good the cake was and that they had multiple slices. If you want a beautiful delicious cake go with Freeport!

Freeport Bakery did a beautiful job with our wedding cake and cupcakes. We had a pretty large job - 230 cupcakes plus a cutting cake. Everything tasted delicious and the cake was beautiful.

Best cake we have ever tasted! My new husband does not even like cake but he loved the cake we selected for our wedding. We were worried that Freeport might be out of our price range, but the team there worked with us and we were able to come in on budget. They were able to replicate a cake that I found on Pinterest and helped us to make it our own. I would not hesitate to recommend Freeport to anyone.

We were very happy with Freeport Bakery as our wedding cake vendor. We enjoyed the tasting session which already showed off the quality of their cakes. We loved what we tasted. We decided on a two tier cake and sheets which we could all order with different flavors. They give you lots of suggestions of what your cake can look like, you can choose from many pictures in their suggestion book. I chose a design that was close to what they offered but not exactly like it so I was excited to see the end result which was beautiful. My florist added flower arrangement on it which made it the most beautiful cake I've ever seen. I loved how flexible Freeport Bakery was with the design and also sending the paperwork to me earlier. We can definitely recommend Freeport Bakery.

We hired Freeport Bakery to make our wedding cake for our wedding on September 26th at the Heirloom Inn in Ione, CA. Our cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing (I wish I had been able to eat more of it!) We are so happy with what how it turned out, it was stunning! Also our guest could not stop telling us how delicious it was! We would recommend Freeport bakery to anyone in a heart beat!
