Alice was very helpful during the design process of the cake. Originally, I wanted a fondant covered cake with a gold or blue gradient. I did not know that they didn't use fondant or artificial dyes/flavors and this was almost a deal breaker for me. However, Alice helped me find alternative ideas to decorate my cake and I think it turned out better than what I originally wanted. I would definitely recommend French Broad Chocolates and I will visit the next time I want something sweet in Asheville.

t planner at FBCl was less than accommodating. However, our desserts and follow-up with the owner were beyond compare. We enjoyed our cake for days afterward (and relish the fact that we can purchase an anniversary cake anytime we choose!), and guest are still talking about the brownies they enjoyed. The FBCL owners, Jael and Dan, are attentive to any needs, and we look forward to many more date nights at our favorite local chocolate shop!

we wanted to use my husband's beer in one of the cakes (mocha stout cake) and it turned out perfectly. We probably had 10-12 different choices ranging from cake, cupcake, cookie, to tart and French Broad does everything so well. They were quick to communicate with any and all of our questions and needs.

g I panicked. My cater recommended French Broad so I decided to give them a try. I had never been to their lounge and Jael Rattigan (the owner) was very nice and offered us a free tasting. Since both my husband and I love chocolate and beer, she suggested the Highland Black Mocha Stout cake and we loved it! The cake looked exactly what I requested! She even made the white buttercream frosting that we requested and it was delicious! Everybody at the wedding agreed that it was one of the best cakes they have ever had :) The best part is that this cake is part of their regular desserts so you can enjoy it any time!
