I want to first say this Inn is absolutely gorgeous!! It made everything flow so easy and the staff was very accomadating for our intimate wedding we held on 2.22.2022! I wouldve g...
ave 5 stars but The chef did not come out and greet our table and that wouldve been a nice touch. I want to thank Brigete and the entire staff at The French Manor for making my dreams come true and do all they could to accomadate our day.
My husband and I got married here this past June and it could not have been more perfect! I showed Bridget what I wanted and she helped me plan my perfect day. We appreciated how f...
lexible they were with us and how detail oriented they were with our entire day! All of our guests talked about how beautiful the view was and how delicious the food was. The best part of it all was that the next morning we were able to have a delicious breakfast with our family that slept at the French Manor after the wedding. It was a wonderful wedding weekend. And honestly I have never slept in a more cozy bed! The French Manor will always have a special place with us!
We were married at the French Manor in October, and it was beautiful there. We had a very small wedding outside overlooking the Pocono mountains. The grounds are breathtaking, and ...
it was absolutely perfect for our ceremony.
The restaurant was delicious. The food was expensive, but well worth the cost. We had an amazing multi-course French meal there unlike any I've ever had.
Our room was also great. We stayed in one of the Spa suites for our honeymoon, and made use of the jacuzzi and fireplace for sure! They paid a lot of attention to detail, leaving us champagne, chocolates, and flowers. It was so romantic, I loved it.
However, I'm giving it 3 stars because the service we had there was sub-par. It felt like none of the staff knew what was happening at any time (except for Chelsea who was amazing and helped us with our ceremony). The staff at the restaurant had no idea how to handle our check, it took us almost an hour to leave the night of our wedding. We had no toilet paper in our room. We had to constantly clarify details all week. Plus, we only had restaurants reservations for one night, but for the rest of our stay we were constantly asked whether or not we'd be dining with them. It was exhausting.
In conclusion, the rooms and grounds are gorgeous, and I recommend going. It was a great place to have our wedding. But don't expect great service if you decide to stay for your honeymoon.
The French Manor was a wonderful venue for our wedding. We had about 70 guests and it was the perfect size room for us. If you are looking for and elegant rustic venue this is it! ...
Two big stone fireplaces with, wood ceiling and beams, definitely not your typical wedding venue. Bridget and team were the BEST!! Very accommodating and helpful. They went out of their way to create our perfect wedding. The view is to die for especially in the Fall. It was a little chilly the day we were married but Bridget was able to get a few patio heaters to warm up our guests for the ceremony. Even my planner was impressed and she was treated very well by Bridget and her team, which my wedding planner says that is a rarity. Now for the good stuff - the food was AMAZING!! When we went for the food tasting my husband said it was the best food he ever had. At the wedding we received so many complaints about the food especially the pumpkin bisque soup served in half a pumpkin. If your want an intimate personal wedding venue this is your place! Thanks, Bridget!
I wish there were more stars for me to give The French Manor. Where do I begin to describe how PERFECT of wedding I had at The French Manor? One word to describe the entire night: ...
Magical.
My fiancé and I celebrated my birthday at The French Manor a few years ago. I immediately knew, "this is where I want to get married." The high ceilings, rustic decor, stone fireplaces, the place is a fairytale.
We began planning our wedding with Bridget last May. From the very beginning, she was more than accommodating, helpful, and very responsive to all of our questions. We had no doubt about wanting to get married at The French Manor!
We had our wedding tasting a few months later and we nearly cried with delight at how tasty the food was. We are big food people so this was a very important factor for us.
Bridget, was available for us whenever we needed her. She went above and beyond - and so did her staff!! I've never met a more friendly wait staff. My guests are still talking about how wonderful they were!
And the clean up was immediate! Dishes and glasses were swept away leaving tables full of flowers and candlelit votives.
They were so flexible in making a menu we wanted and a signature drink. The ceremony overlooked the beautiful mountains. They provided all chairs and tables which made things so much easier.
And how can we not mention the beautiful stone steps and brand new patio?!! The cafe lights hanging from the rafters made me feel like I truly was a princess in a fairy tale.
I highly recommend Bridget, her family, and the entire staff at The French Manor. I'm so sorry it's over already! A night I shall truly never forget. I am still smiling and I think I will be for a very, very long time. It was perfect.
Good luck trying to get them to email you back about anything. Tried 4 different times and 3 different ways and never even got to see the venue. Glad I went with somewhere else
We had our wedding weekend at The French Manor, and it was perfect. We chose the location because we wanted a rural mountainous setting, but we're from NYC and used to fine dining...
and luxury accommodations. The Main Inn has gorgeous architecture and warm comfortable character, and the food and service are top notch.
The concept for our wedding was to have an intimate group of about 60 people and bring them together for an entire weekend, providing activities so our friends could meet and mingle.
We started on Friday night with a cocktail party where we had antipasto displays, passed hor d'oeurves, a soup and salad bar, and pie. The weather in the last week of September was perfect, the trees were just turning and the view from the terrace and the grounds was spectacular. It got a little chilly in the evening, but we had heaters, and our guests enjoyed their cocktails on the lawn under the stars!
As for activities, Bridget offered and we accepted yoga, skeet shooting, a hayride afternoon tea, and picnic lunches. Bridget coordinated a yoga instructor and mats for a class that took place on the lawn overlooking the view.
The skeet shooting was offsite by a different vendor. The hayride seemed successful- they even ran it twice because my 2YO nephew missed the first run! The tea was a nice pick me up before the ceremony and I enjoyed the warm apple cider immensely. The picnic lunches were gourmet and perfect for people to take with them on the hiking trails, or eat at the tables that the staff put on the lawn so guests could enjoy the fabulous weather. There were a million details to coordinate and Bridget and the French Manor staff were all over every one. Our guests had a wonderful time!
The ceremony took place on the overlook about 20 yards from the terrace. Our band was set up on the terrace, and guests enjoyed cocktails and music immediately after the ceremony spilling out onto the lawn. We had gourmet passed hor d'ouerves: Ahi tuna skewers, lamb chops with a mint pesto, bacon wrapped scallops, duck liver pate with currant jam, salmon mousse on a cucumber slice, and more. Delicious.
We were able to take pictures on the road that leads up to the manor with fall foliage, and on the beautifully manicured grounds (the flower beds and potted plants around the terrace were stunning).
We had the dining room set with two long tables with runners, flowers and candles down the middle and the look of the dining room was absolute elegance. The food was perfect. We started with a salad, then had a papaya sorbet pallet cleanser. For main course, we offered Filet Mignon, Pan rendered duck breastand celeriac and Horseradish crusted line caught Salmon. We heard nothing but compliments for the wait staff. They were attentive and accommodating. Our guests raved about the food-wonderful flavor combinations, perfect execution, everyone was completely thrilled.
Throughout the planning process, Bridget was perfect. She is super organized and takes impeccable notes. She always got back to us on time, had wonderful suggestions and was extremely receptive to our ideas, and committed to our vision. Every visit we made, she took care of us, every single bit of constructive criticism we gave her was immediately and effective implemented, AND, she was easy going and fun!
I highly recommend The French Manor for your wedding. It is elegant, comfortable, gourmet, romantic, relaxing, posh flexible and delightful!
This gorgeous manor blew us away when we were looking for venues. It was perfect for our small intimate wedding of 50. The menus are elegant and delicious. The staff is extremely n...
ice and very good at what they do. The rooms are beautiful, although on the pricey side. Communicating with the wedding coordinator through email was not as fast as expected, but other than that, it was a pleasure working with her. We made the right choice and couldn't be happier with The French Manor!
