The chapel itself is absolutely beautiful and unique. But I was less then impressed with the officiant Louann...she seemed like she just wanted to get our ceremony over with almos...
t like we were interrupting her nap time. She called my husband the wrong name during the ceremony and almost called me the wrong name as well. The whole thing was rushed and I felt like Staff were extremely phony. I'm from NY so I can through the BS. We never signed a "dollar" that seems to be a tradition there. We were just rushed out. The only person who was sweet was the photographer who did an OK job. I think $550 for a 20 min ceremony, the service should be outstanding. If we could do it all over again I would've used the chapel but hired my own officiant. This was one of the most important days of my life that felt rushed and phony, very disappointing to say the least.
Place its self was cute as can be however the woman running the place is rude, mixed me up with another bride ( got the wrong cake & bouquet), pushed me in to buying extras I truly...
didn’t need , also seems to have a problem if you have your own officiant , even though all of these things were asked about several months in advance and repeated several times over and I have the texts from this woman asking the same questions over and over and still got it wrong 😑 don’t waste ur money , they will screw up ur wedding & give you part of your money back and text an apology to you, like it was no big deal
This was amazing best experience we have had not just wedding wise but vacation experience our guests could not stop talking about it but as a bride they made it so easy and respon...
ded so quickly to any of my questions
My wife and I had the most amazing experience getting married here with Reverend Tony. The interior of the space is magical, classic/ quirky/ eclectic/ beautiful and very New Orlea...
ns. Reverend Tony is an amazing personality and stage presence, he was caring and thoughtful and also funny, our whole family loved spending time with him. I will always have fond memories of the French Quarter Wedding chapel, maybe we'll renew our vows there some day! Thank you, from Eric and Kara.
The space itself is so charming, and our guests loved it! Reverend Tony is a gem - when we first met with him, he gave us tons of life and marriage advice - so sweet. As for the ce...
remony, things got a little lengthy - signing the receipt for services we'd paid for months in advance in front of our guests felt fairly awkward. I wish we'd known that was needed beforehand so we could get it out of the way prior to the ceremony. Other than that, we had a wonderful time, and our guests have said they will remember the chapel forever!
We used the French Quarter Wedding Chapel for our wedding on 10/06/18 We were coming from out of town & having someone local to help with planning was going to be a great asset.

their website they made it seem as though using their company would make planning an easy experience. I reached out multiple times for advice on possible venues, hotels or informal reception sites and was never given any suggestions.
I personally found a venue and reached out to confirm a second line would be possible from there for the ceremony. We would then parade up from there, they said yes.
In August, we requested that a violinist learn two specific songs for our wedding. We were told it would be an additional cost, to which we agreed.
We also asked for a pedi-cab during the second line parade so that our wheelchair-bound uncle would be able to ride along.
The day before our wedding I asked if there was anything we should meet about or if everything was good to go. We were told we could stop by the chapel and meet with Rev. Tony. Despite the texts, emails and me confirming our venue, they had our second line parade scheduled from their chapel, NOT from the venue we picked.
I asked what our options were and he said we had to get married at their chapel. We were also told that we had a harpist instead of the violinist we had been promised. On top of all of this, our requested songs were not played during our ceremony. We were incredibly disappointed to not have our songs, especially because we were still charged for them.
Due to an error on their part, I found out the day before my wedding that I was not only going to lose the deposit, but also that I would not be able to get married at the venue I had been dreaming of for the last several months. An apology was never offered for any of these mishaps.
We figured out a solution on our own, asking if we could get married at our venue and then walk up to the chapel and start the parade. They obliged, but this also meant after my ceremony, everyone had to run up 6 blocks to the chapel to have our official license signed and start our parade.
The pedi-cab never showed up for the parade, another cost that was never reimbursed.
On 11/26/18 we still had not received our marriage license from the state of Louisiana so I called the parish to check on the status. I was told that The French Quarter Wedding Chapel had not turned in our marriage license to be processed until November 15th. I was very upset that they held onto my license for over a month. I sent a text message to Rev. Tony about it and he called the next day after a second text message. He said the state always blames him for turning them in late when they are running behind and that if they received it 2 weeks ago I should have my license soon. We received our official license on 12/24/18, 80 days after our wedding!
I did not review the French Quarter Wedding Chapel immediately following all of the mishaps because I wanted time to digest the events. Now that I have had time to think and consider the review, I believe it is a true representation of their planning for our day went and wanted to outline the potential for stressful mishaps for future couples.
The positives I can comment on: Spending time with our family and friends and marrying the man who has been my best friend and hero during the hardest time was absolutely amazing. I can also say that the videographer, photographer and second line parade band were PERFECT!
Due to the poor customer service, I will not be using this business for my wedding day. I text last week with questions regarding deposits and package customizations as well as ask...
ing about how to reserve Jackson Square. Lou Ann said that she’d get back with me regarding the reservation date (which is something that every bride is concerned with) but did not, so I just text this morning to follow-up. She text back promptly and gave me pricing info, and I told her I’d call her and pay by the end of the week which I thought was reasonable. She then text me by accident and sent me a message saying that I had been driving her crazy, although the message was not meant for me. I responded, and she then came up with this excuse that it was her assistant using her phone and that she had been fired. Although she apologized and offered free champagne at the wedding, I find it appalling that she would lie and blame someone else as well as call me “crazy” for asking her a question which falls under her list of services that she provides.
I know there are plenty of places to get married in New Orleans, but I highly recommend the French Quarter Wedding Chapel!! We traveled from out of state with our son and both sets...
of parents so that made it a little more stressful. We were almost late to our wedding due to some very rude and lazy ladies at the Civil Court (we waited 40 minutes for them to even acknowledge us even though they were walking right by us, just to find out that we were at the wrong place to get our marriage license). We were so stressed out and I had a breakdown. Once we got it, we had 30 minutes to get ready and be at the Chapel! We really thought it was gonna be “okay, your 20 minutes are up and the next customers are waiting”, but Rev. Tony was amazing!!!! My parents were there early and he let them in and talked with them. Then when we arrived, he sat us down and took his time talking with us. I instantly felt comforted and relaxed...and most importantly, HAPPY on my wedding day! He is sooo generous, kind, caring and even funny!!! Lou Ann is so helpful, sweet and caring! Their photographer (I feel bad I didn’t catch her name, I was so occupied with getting my vail right since I didn’t have time to do my hair and secure it on my head) is patient, talented and kind!!

ls discussed were played out perfectly on the wedding day!! The service itself left not a dry eye on the house!! A day none of us will ever forget!! It was intimate, heartfelt and sincere! My flowers were breathtaking and the cake was beyond beautiful and not to mention delicious!! Rev Tony made the ceremony heartfelt yet also was so calming for those day -of nerves flowing! LouAnn took care of ALL the details leading up to the day for me and she was fantastic to work with!! Everything was beyond my expectations and we couldn’t be happier with our wedding venue choice! On the wedding day I felt they kept things so organized and flowing that I didn’t worry a bit once I was there and under their care!! LouAnn even packed up all our stuff so I didn’t have to keep track of a thing and just got to enjoy the moments of the wedding and make memories with my family and new husband!! Thanks French Quarter Weddinv Chapel for the most amazing day of our lives!! Wouldn’t have changed a thing and were beyond thrilled with how things turned out!! Much thanks from the newlywed Minton’s 03.11.2018
Love them! Couldn't have made my day any better. Rev Tony and Lou Ann made planning from afar very easy and stress free
I was about to pay-credit card out and all- and I wanted to clarify that the 90min carriage ride would have a lot of photo ops and then she informed me that $1800 package only incl...
uded TWENTY FIVE photos! Are you kidding me? Reverend Tony had told me it was the high end photo package and she was just basically telling me to pay more for more photos or 'take it or leave it'. She had no explanation that the price of the package meant more time the photographer had to be paid, yet the 90 minute photo amenity purchased separately includes over 100 photos. This is gouging, so 'leave it' I did. They are not the only way to elope in New Orleans. The hotel packages or simplyeloped are a better deal.
This was the perfect intimate wedding and Reverend Tony was key to making it that way! All our arrangements were made over the phone and I was not sure what to expect. Upon arriv...
al we were greeted as if we were old friends. Rev Tony cares about all the brides and grooms that come through his doors and makes everyone one feel relaxed, comfortable, and special. I cannot say enough about Rev Tony and how special he made our wedding. The chapel itself is a wonder of eclectic decorations that blend so well with the reverend's personality. We ordered a bouquet and boutonniere over the phone with no pictures and recieved gorgeous arrangement of flowers.
If you are looking for a special day with people who will warm you hearts and do all they can to make your day perfect this is the place to come! If you simply want to get "hitched" and get it over go to the courthouse or Vegas. We had two guests (my in-laws) and mom stated "This was a ceremony that we will remember forever." Thank You for all you did for us Reverend Tony. You made our day memorable and very special!
LOVED this place! They will take care of anything you need. Helpful. Professional. They really care about the bride and groom. I would recommend them highly!!!!
