Blanca is an absolute gem and insanely talented. She added sleeves to my strapless wedding gown that looked like they'd been there from the beginning. She made numerous alterations (taking in the sides, raising the hem) that were flawless. She was always cheery and kind during the fittings and gave me a full hour each session. Her rates are insanely good (like seriously I felt like I should be paying more for the quality I was getting) and she clearly puts so much attention to detail in every stitch. I cannot think of a better seamstress to recommend!

We all know throwing a wedding is an expensive endeavor! As a recent bride, I paid top dollar for everything from the venue to the photographer to the DJ. The list goes on with the exception of one vendor who saved me money and whose price quote came in way under my budget. That vendor is my seamstress Blanca. Blanca is a godsend to brides in the metro DC area. First and foremost, her prices are fair. Secondly, she charges you a one-time fee (she doesn't charge per hour or per fitting) and allows each bride as many fittings as needed (each fitting is a dedicated hour with the bride and Blanca). When I asked her why her prices were so low she told me it's because she wants to do her part to save brides some money. How amazing is that in such an overpriced industry. In addition to being a whiz with thread and a needle, she is a charitable woman who donates wedding dresses and gowns to those less fortunate. Don't waste your time getting quotes from others. Go straight to Blanca. She exceeds expectations.

Blanca did a beautiful job altering my dress prior to the wedding! She did great work, always had the dress ready for our appointments, and the cost couldn't be beat! I highly recommend Fresca Designs by Blanca to anyone who needs to get their dress altered.
