I am a Seattle-based wedding videographer deeply influenced by the charm of indie films. My approach revolves around the belief in maintaining a deeply personal touch, creating works that stand the test of time for generations to cherish. As a cinematographer, storytelling is my passion, and weddings provide the perfect canvas for the most enchanting love stories. Eugene absolutely ROCKED our wedding video! He perfectly captured our personalities, love, and wedding theme in the video. What's more, is that it was abundantly clear that he actually cares about his clients. We had multiple meetings with him to get to know him, talk about what we wanted in our video, and to go over wedding specifics. Eugene worked expertly with our photographer to ensure that they were both on the same page. Eugene filmed our wedding and provided a highlight film as well as separate cuts for our wedding ceremony and wedding speeches. He perfectly captured our day and we have had so much fun reliving every moment with family and friends. We had a few editing requests after seeing the final videos, and Eugene promptly responded and addressed our requests. I recommend purchasing the package that comes with the video book. We were hesitant at first, but so glad Eugene talked us into it. It made sharing with family so easy, and now we have something we can open anytime we want!
Admittedly - we weren't planning on using a videographer for our wedding, but when some important family members couldn't attend we wanted to have video of the wedding available. I am so thankful that we hired Eugene and FreshFormat, in the end having video available was one of the most special mementos from our wedding day. Eugene was a true professional who not only was able to put us at ease during the day, but helped guide us so he can make amazing content for us. Everything felt extremely natural and he was so much fun to work with. After the ceremony he delivered the teaser video, feature films, and additional videos on time and they are so special to us. He was also extremely responsive to any requests and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a videographer.
Eugene was AMAZING to work with. He was personable and professional from beginning to end. We loved his style and the way the "story of the day" unfolds. The highlight film has been watched over and over in our house; we can't say enough good things about it. We also received a full ceremony video, which was also so well done. It's more than just a stationary camera placed and recording. His editing and everything pull it together for another great video to watch. Eugene was nothing short of amazing to work with! He was so helpful, communicated with us throughout the entire process and very professional. WOW!! Fresh Format Films BLEW our expectations out of the water!! I knew I would like the video, but my husband and I LOVED IT! Our friends and family who were not able to attend from around the world are in awe of the detail he was able to capture. We were in tears reliving our wedding day. Where to start!! The whole experience with FreshFormat Films was a dream. Eugene always kept things professional but always made you feel comfortable and made everything fun and enjoyable. When we received our wedding video back there wasn't a dry eye. He explains how he loves being a storyteller and he delivered exactly that. He did an amazing job capturing how truly special our day was and somehow he captured the joy and happiness the day brought and we felt that all over again while watching the video. We were beyond happy with his work. As many of our family members described the video it was truly magical. Overall, he is an amazing videographer who loves what he does and you see that in his work. Because of him, we can relive the love we felt on that day and have a video we will cherish forever.
Eugene did an INCREDIBLE job capturing our perfect wedding day on video! He was able to capture the essence of our day, as well as bring in little tiny details that mean the world to us. Eugene was spectacular to have at our wedding. I watch my wedding video about once a month and cry all over again. He and his photographer wife (also an amazing addition) we’re quick, nimble, quiet, punctual, and made us feel so natural and comfortable.
Wow. Wow. Wow. If you’re even considering hiring a videographer for your wedding- Eugene is a must have for your day. He was responsive, flexible and is extremely talented! He captured every important event at the wedding- from fun shots of the bridal party before the ceremony, us reading our vows, family members giving speeches and everyone busting out their moves on the dance floor. Eugene and and his wife Amanda (an amazing photographer!!!) were the best duo and work so well together- they made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and it really felt like we just had two more of our friends at the wedding.
When our video was delivered, it was more than we could have ever hoped for- so perfect! We probably watched it 10 times the day we got it, and many more times since then! We quickly sent it to family and friends who were equally in love with the video and the ability to reminisce on the day. We are so grateful that we will always have it to look back on for years to come. One of the best decisions we made was to hire Eugene with Fresh Format Films to capture our special day! We cannot say enough incredible things about Eugene! We hired him to film our elopement (we also hired his wife, Amanda, to do the photography). As soon as I saw his work, we knew that he was the guy we wanted to film our special day. Eugene made us feel so at ease - he was caring, professional and super fun to work with. My husband and I aren’t the best when it comes to “poses” but Eugene made us feel comfortable and gave us some incredible suggestions that look so natural and elegant.
We were so sad the day ended because we had so much fun! The next day Eugene published a little teaser/preview video on Instagram he had made on the side on his iPhone and it was such an incredible surprise. That teaser video alone was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE so we are super excited to get the elopement day video back. I still to this day watch the preview video every day because it makes me so happy and put an instant smile on my face.
